These patients sing praises about Forte, from the doctors to the nurses to the efficient people at the front desk. From a visitor's point of view, Forte is great. They are very straightforward with their instructions, which I appreciate. Just tell me what to do and what to expect, and I'll do it and expect it. Everything went pretty much according to what they said. They have a smoothly running system here. Visitors can help themselves to the unlimited coffee and water at the coffee and water station. This is where the Little Free Library is located! The waiting room also has multiple seating arrangements, from high-top desks to comfy chairs to love seats. Or, if you need something to eat or drink, there's a cafe on the first floor. (See my separate review for La Verna Cafe.) The waiting room is airy and bright. One thing that's kinda weird is that a "cruise director" comes and talks about what to expect with your surgery ... right in the waiting room, among all those random people. That seems unusual, right? However, there are private rooms that you're taken to when the time comes to talk about your particular case with the doctor. As a visitor who is not a patient, Forte is great. But I've been told that it's also great being a patient here, so there's that.

Dr Shannon McKenna was the surgeon and kept rescheduling the follow up appt with the excuse of being in surgery. By the 3rd reschedule we had had enough and go figure he wasn't in surgery and was able to keep the appt. I normally do not leave reviews but I've had to watch my husband suffer through the most excruciating pain since the end of November 2025 that intensified tenfold at the end of February. I took over the communications between the Drs office and my husband because he was too frustrated and miserable to deal with it. We were constantly calling the office for help ..... finally scheduled another MRI of cervical spine to "find out what was going on". Luckily I set up an account and read the report and had access to the images within a day of having the MRI. Almost 2 weeks later the NP calls me to tell me everything looks good and the Dr is referring him to pain management. I read the report and it clearly said he has a pinched nerve root just under C6..... she never once mentioned that until I asked about it. And then blew it off as if it was nothing. When we went to this surgeon my husband had pinched nerves in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine that the Dr was aware of. I questioned her about this referral and called her out on the fact this surgeon was just pushing him off to pain management instead of actually trying to help him find the problem and fix it. My husband has no desire to be on any opioid to mask the pain. He wants to find the problem; fix the problem. Needless to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE! The office staff was FANTASTIC! The surgeon Shannon McKenna was the absolute worst doctor I have ever interacted with. Before the surgery we did not have any kind of explanation of what to expect for the day of surgery, the aftercare, the process for afterwards whether or not he will have physical therapy, how long the recovery is, nothing. See you this day this time have a good day. We had to ask them about physical therapy during the follow up appt and were told we could do it if we wanted to. We are now 6 months out and my husband hasn't been able to return to work for 9 months. He struggles to take deep breathes, moves just right and his body locks up, wakes up in pain, troubles moving his neck, laughing can stop him in his tracks. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS! No respectable Doctor would wash their hands of someone who is so obviously in severe pain that they just can't take anymore. No Dr McKenna refers him to pain management and dismisses him as a patient "due to being confrontational" - which is a joke because they haven't even dealt with him since May! So what is he hiding From? Only time will tell as we get into the new doctors to find out. I highly recommend to NOT see this surgeon if you have any need to visit this place!

I forced him to cite his reference to support his conclusions. I asked that the citation be included in the clinical notes. He did not include it. After going back and requesting it, his office staff spoke to him and they provided a citation that undermines his own conclusions and documented findings. Don't expect an honest assessment. I have already placed a call to file a formal complaint. So far I have not received a response. Whether Goodman Campbell, writ large, is 1-star, I can't say. My experience with Dr. DePowell was sub 1-Star.

I took my nonverbal family memeber to Dr. Lee for years. At…read moresome point in time Dr. Lee saw my family member as an opportunity and no longer a patient. When we decided NO to expiremental procedures such as putting the pain management pump in my family members brain Dr. Lee quit caring about his patient. We didn't even know he moved his practice to Oregon as we were never discharged as a patient. But before he left he made sure to blacklist is in the state of Indiana after he left the pain manegment pump with an occluded catheter to be left on my family memebers body. He let the components to the pump expire in my family members body. By the time we were finally able to find someone to help us those components were expired past 4 years. And the only help we were able to find was 110 miles away from our home.

That's his specialty and the only type of pump he deals with. He's caring and listens to all of my questions and concerns. He explains everything in detail so I understand and feel comfortable. I thought this was odd since Dr, Mobasser used the same model in his office to explain the problems I was having with my back. I was 65 and have had back problems since I was 20 years old, I was there to find someone with a solution; not a lecture! I came in knowing that I wanted a laminectomy or ablation on the nerve roots of my L3, L4 and L5 facets of my spine. I had previously had the tests done for this procedure. Dr. Schmidt would known this if he had taken the time to read my chart. Dr. Schmidt then proceeded to draw a picture of a spine on a piece of paper to explain the problem. All this was demonstrated in front of the nameless visitor present at my exam. Is Dr. Schmidt possibly training a new doctor on how to interact with patients? I cannot imagine a worse choice for a trainer.

They responded to my request the next day and then offered to book me in for the following week. Amazing, considering how popular they are! Once my appointment was booked, I was emailed a form to fill out digitally before arrival. It helped me prep for the appointment and it was nice to get my insurance info squared away before visiting. They also sent reminder texts and emails, and sent me a COVID screening the morning of the appointment (mini online quiz to say if you'd been feeling sick or not). It was all very seamless! When I visited the office, they checked me in right away and I was brought back right at my appointment time. A PA named Kyler came in to assess my knees and she was super awesome and helpful. I was then brought back for knee x-rays and the x-ray women were SO nice too. As soon as I was brought out of the x-ray room, an attendant brought me back to my room and Dr. Shook came in to assess. He delivered good news (yay!) and was so kind and helpful. He communicated very clearly, seemed very patient, and was open to any questions. He printed off exercises for me to do at home and the attendant brought me to check out. All seven or so people that I interacted with were so friendly and sharp. The whole appointment was very efficient and Dr. Shook seemed to know everyone by name. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

I did more damage to my ankle by continuing to drive a manual 5 speed for 4 days. Dr Greenfield was awesome, confident in his efforts to save my now crunched up foot and very informative with on point instructions throughout the process. I think he is by far the best ortho Dr I've encountered. The Anesthesiologist was reassuring and very thorough. The nurses treated me like a queen. I have worked clerically in hospital environment for over 20 years and the gentleman that put on my splint was the best cast technician I've encountered. Overall the Ortho Indy team deserves an A+. I wish I had gone to them for my hip replacement. I won't go anywhere else.
