I went to Dr. Morris a week ago and although I had to wait a while due to a last minute extreme case for another patient, it went just fine. I got a cleaning, got rid of two cavities and got some bonds put on a chipped front tooth. Doctor and assistant were very nice and super apologetic about the wait. I have been thinking about writing this review for a long time now. Not sure why I kept putting it off. My problem persists, and because of that I don't want to put it off anymore. My family and I were patients of Dr. Morris for many years. I thought we were receiving excellent treatment. There were a lot of things that he did well. We followed him as he moved around the county, even though the office became farther and farther away from our home and it was inconvenient to get to him. However, an experience in 2013 changed my loyalty. Dr. Morris told me that I had to have an inflamed area removed from the roof of my mouth. It's important to say that the so called "inflamed area" didn't bother me and it didn't hurt at all. But since I trusted him, I said OK. Big mistake. My mouth has not been the same since and it is never going to go away. I have what feels like an open wound that will not heal. The roof of my mouth aches and that pain sometime migrates to the front of my teeth. His repeated attempts to smooth it over may have made it worse. I left his practice and sought another opinion. While my new dentist is careful to say that without seeing the original, inflamed area, he cannot say for sure that this was medically necessary. He does say that he would not have considered doing anything if I had reported no discomfort. I was referred to a periodontist who was at a loss for how to help me. Now all this time later, nothing has changed. It seems that I have to live with this discomfort for the rest of my life. I would give this practice zero stars if it were possible. read more

The BEST dental experience of MY LIFE, and I am a big chicken! Actually, chickens would probably do better than myself in a dental chair. As a person who avoids the dentist at all costs, I have made future appointments to address my lack of dental follow-through...because it was so easy and painless. Dr Morris is a Patients' Dentist, who takes pains to be caring and careful, so that I didn't feel any discomfort! Really! I would refer him to family and friends, I might even insist they go, he's that good. He's puts you at ease in a zen-like way. Breathing through my nose and being calm...that's all that was needed. I don't know why my other "terrible" dentists didn't use this approach with me. It's easier and more humane for the patient, quicker for the dentist, and less irritating for both! When he starts with the needle and the "whatever-caine", I didn't mind. I am not going to say there wasn't discomfort...but just discomfort...nothing else. No "pain" or anxiety...just a couple of jitters. His ability to make the situation bearable is most appreciated by this patient. At 63, with all the insurances, doctors, drillings, fillings, gassings and all the anxiety, fear, loathing and cursing...I think I may have found my dentist for life. read more

I visited Dr. Morris with a tooth ache that was bothering me for few days. What I love about this dental office is that Dr. Morris gets done everything in his office and he works fast. I had couple of xrays, than he had to perform a root canal with a crown buildup on same appointment. Dr.M gave me conveniently another appointment next day for my crown, the crown was done in his office and it fitted much better than the previous crown. I've been going to Dr. Morris for 10+ years. His new office is state of the art and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. Although I am thankful that my teeth are in tremendous shape and I've never needed any hardcore work to be done, it shows that maintaining and prevention are keys to keeping your mouth in good shape and going to him twice a year is a must. I recently visited Dr. Morris' practice for a teeth cleaning and to see about having my wisdom teeth taken out. I haven't been to the dentist in quite some time and hated going. I was very happy to find that the doctor and staff were welcoming and friendly and made me feel at ease about going there. The doctor cleaned my teeth and explained the process of taking out my wisdom teeth. He used pictures and showed me X-rays and made me feel better about the process by walking me through it. I thought it was going to hurt but was surprised that he took them out quickly and almost with no pain at all. I even was able to go to work the next day. I now go regularly to see Dr.Morris and am very happy with my dentist, would definitely recommend him and his office. read more

I had no bad intentions, and truly just needed a standard cleaning and expected an unmemorable visit as a first time patient. I had mentioned I hadn't had a dental cleaning in four years during out of state college.. I am a young female with no bad dental history and had received the most famous/expensive orthodontia in the area with a metal mouth from age 8-14. This dentist, whom I even wrote a kind review for after my appointment, had taken my mentioning of pain to sugar & sweets, and falsely diagnosed me of Six cavities - I did not have. He quoted me roughly 2000 out of pocket for which my family was about to pay, and he adamantly scheduled a quick next visit where he would drill and fill six of my cavity-less teeth. A reputable dentist from a strong office confirmed my pain was purely from gum recession due to hard brushing and my gums had dropped a little, exposing some enamel. The slightly dark coffee stains formed from lack of dental cleanings only occupying a couple teeth, which Morris took pictures of as evidence of cavities, did not even show up on the X-rays as any true cavity would, and was how we uncovered what really happened with my family's dentist. My family was stunned and I was truly blindsided by the kind demeanor, albeit unprofessional staff and shabby office in a cheap rental space of the building. I think it would be socially irresponsible and offensive to public health and safety to not make this information a fair and publicly accessible review given the severity. This dentist mentioned several times that his business was suffering due to Covid and the shutdown this year, however drilling into a young woman's healthy teeth who is barely 24 years of age, I just find inexcusable and criminal. I have seen other reviews claiming the same horrific, false, permanently affecting surgical diagnoses, and can say this dentist was scratching into my receded gums which caused me tremendous pain for over 20 minutes; I thought the pain was coming from the crown of my teeth due to the assumed cavities. To be frank, I find it barbaric and frightening that my first visit as a new patient was when he already was toying with false surgical diagnoses. I would advise this office be inspected for other evidently occurring cases of dental fraud and client abuse. read more

I am joining yelp to write a review about this dentist. It was recommended that I go see Dr. Morris as one of my fellow employees use him as does my boss and his family. I have a very healthy dental history and my teeth have never been a day's trouble. I cracked a small piece of one of my molars eating popcorn and although I was in no pain. The crack was distracting and my tongue became irritated because it knew it was there and kept bothering it. I made an appointment for an exam and cleaning. The cost was near $500.00 quite steep for an initial appointment but I thought he could be trusted. According to the good doctor not only did my small crack require a crown (for $2000), he also told me that all my old fillings were defective and soon to crack my teeth and needed to be replaced. I also had additional cavities in between my teeth that would need to filled. He went on to clean my teeth...The job was substandard at best, he was so worried about my parking meter (more concerned with that then doing his job well) that he barely even used the buffing device. Upon conclusion of my first visit - he wanted to make my next appointment for a week later while I asked over and over again for this quote in writing which he ensured me I would recieve next day by email. I walked out of there feeling jipped, under-serviced and anxious about his findings Surprise, the next day - no quote came. I called to cancel my appointment and asked him if I can get a copy of my dental records...He went on to tell me that although it is my legal right to get a copy of my records he doesn't want to confuse me with file I cannot open...and I could come and get my quote with the pictures of the pictures if I wanted to, but he would much rather release them to another doctor who understands what they are looking at....Cost to release to another Doctor $40.00 Dr. Morris's quote for the work I supposedly needed (that took close to a week to get) was for $6,000.00 , Finally - for the happy ending... I went to another dentist who fixed my chip w/a filling for $200.00 and found no evidence of my existing fillings damaging my teeth or any immediate need to remove - and he didn't find any other cavities either. I have seen Dr. Morris every 6 months x3 but every time he dis-satisfied myself, why? because he don't complete the job as he suppose to. Before I went to his last appt. June/18, I consult with my Dent Quest Insurance and they cover : deep cleaning, x-ray, crown, extraction unlimited etc etc.I explained to Dr. Morris and again refused to perform what I was asking because he has another pt. awaiting in another room, so he rush on me with a short intervention that last 6 mins. and dealing with the sharp needle v/s sensitive gum, he didn't proceed the intervention. I mentioned to him that 2 years ago, I spent $12,000 with another dentist who performed an excellent job with only 5 visit and different procedures that my mouth look excellent, I mentioned to him then he make a unprofessional comment that make me not go to see him anymore. I went to Dr. Morris for the first time with an Amazon Local coupon for the Boost teeth whitening treatment. Dr. Morris seems like a nice guy, and performed the treatment quite well. I have done in-office teeth whitening once before, so knew enough not to expect a miracle with my red wine and coffee assaulted (did I mention old?) teeth. That said, the hour long treatment resulted in a noticeable (if not dramatic) whitening of my teeth -- and I consider myself pleased. The process lasted about one hour, was only mildly uncomfortable at the time (bring a smart phone to play with!) and had no after effects beyond a slight sensitivity while brushing for a couple of days. Would this treatment have been worth $600 (the full retail price)? Well, not to me, but it was a quite reasonable value at a discount. Based on my experience I would be happy to see Dr. Morris for this or other work again. read more

The easiest and simplest treatment I have had to date. I have never had same day service in getting a crown, and it is GREAT!!! They have a new lab that is a part of the practice and not having to come back for a second visit saved me a tremendous amount of time and money. Came in for my check up! Office staff still uber friendly. The doctor discussed my treatment plan again, what we have done and what still needs treatment. Very thorough doctor. Appointment took a little longer than i planned for but got a great deal of information about future treatments and about my insurance coverage. Until the doctor i had no clue what my dental plan really paid for. He has also offered me alternative procedure and financing which my other dentist never have done. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Morris for about four years. He was sharing a small office on Bradley Boulevard that was clean but dreary. This past year, he moved to a new suite in a building on Wisconsin Ave. There is a very convenient parking garage at Woodmont and Rugby, and you can enter the building from the Woodmont side. The new office is really, really nice. Super-clean, very comfortable. There is wifi available. Dr. Morris has absolutely an absolutely fantastic office manager - Kim - and having things organized and under control makes life easier for the patients. You can get your appointments made online if you want and they send out e-mail reminders and confirmations. Kim is always professional and enthusiastic and makes you feel very welcome. Dr. Morris has superb, cutting-edge equipment and he keeps very current in his knowledge and skills. He always takes the time to explain exactly what he is seeing in your dental situation and what we recommends and why. We've never had any trouble with any of the dental work he's done. And he's a great guy. He really cares that we get the best care possible; he takes great pride in his work. This is the first dentist I've ever trusted completely. read more

I had a great experience from beginning to end. The man at the desk (who's name I forgot :/ ) was incredibly friendly and got me in the next day. He greeted me so kindly when I went in and immediately put me at ease. Dr. Morris made a thorough exam of my teeth and walked me through everything he found, with visuals. He filled two quick cavities on the spot, and gave me recommendations about some other potential problems. He talked me through my options - what they would involve, what they would cost, and what my insurance would cover. He sent me away with a printed quote and encouraged me to think about it - no pressure to make any decisions or spend money I didn't have.
