Went here for the 1st time Today Tuesday June 30th 2026 to finally get a haircut! For background, I relocated from NY to Here, that means had to find a new hairstylist. And was also a little anxious because I wear hearing aids, take them out when getting a haircut and had a stylist once (at a different location no where near here!) in which i couldn't hear and it ruined the whole experience. My mom made an appointment online for me, originally with nicole. On Saturday, and a little annoying because I was at work, and thank goodness I had time to answer my phone, but the receptionist danielle called me and said that Nicole no longer works there, but can switch to Margaret. I said sure and that was that. Now because I was at work, I don't understand why she could have just changed that via their website or via a text. Just some feedback. Anyways, First time in this Salon, walked in and had to wait a while to get checked in. Finally someone came and checked me in. She was pleasant. Then after a few minute Margaret came out and gave me a warm welcome. My mom was also there, but as moral support and as support for my hard of hearing, as she told her about it. She seemed to understand because she spoke loud enough where I can hear. And told her exactly what I wanted, which was a trim (about 3 inches), and what kind of style i wanted. First Margaret Dry cut it, then we shampooed and conditioned, then cut again, and dried the hair in a wavy pattern that looked straight. however, I absolutely loved my new look for the day. Price was 67.00, now on their website it does say haircuts are $40.00 and the add ons like shampoo and blowout add cost to it. But anyways, I think it was a reasonable price. Paid via credit card and left a cash tip. Would definitely be back again at the Jonas Salon! Thanks Margaret for a beautiful haircut! read more

I would not recommend Melissa as a stylist. In my 70 years, I have never received a worse haircut from anyone in my life and I am not that fussy of a client and I have never written a bad review on anyone. She initially asked if I wanted a haircut and I said more of a trim, however, I said the back was getting longer than the sides and I felt it was a bit of a mullet look. She recommended an inch off the back and I agreed. I have a habit of closing my eyes and relaxing while my hair us being done. When I opened my eyes, I could not believe how short she had cut the sides of my hair--it was clear up to the ends of my earlobes!!!. Her comprehension of what I requested to be done failed miserably. If I stated that I wanted the back of my hair to blend with the side length, why would you chop at least 3 inches off the sides. She asked if I wanted to see the back and I said no. I didn't care at that point. My hair was ruined and I did nit want to cry in public. She mentioned that she had left the top layers longer like I requested, which actually ended up making the style worse! The woman behind the desk was very professional and offered to not charge me for the cut and I said I would pay for Melissa's time but not a tip. They did give me a discounted price. I called several salons from my car immediately after I left trying to find anyone that could try and improve upon what I was left with. I could not find an opening anywhere. I was distraught because my grandchildren were coming from Washington state for a vacation and we had scheduled a family portrait to be done. I was also growing my hair out as I have a cruise to Europe in May and I wanted to be able to clip my hair up and also have it long enough for a ponytail. There's no way that will happen! With the summer humidity, I can't do a thing with this chopped off hair! It's a frizzy mess and impossible to style! I canceled our portraits and want no photos of me until this hair grows out. I am so angry and disappointed. I have lost my hair twice in my life to cancer and then to severe Covid, and I was fine with it. I would rather be bald than to have her cut my hair again--it was that bad. The worse part was that Melissa did not even try to remedy the situation. She saw no fault in what she did. I would have at least said that I was sorry you are not happy with the results. Can I offer up another stylist to see if they can help. She took no responsibility whatsoever. A couple of hours later, I received a call and was asked if I was willing to have another stylist try to do something to improve the cut. I was desperate and figured it could only get better. I was very appreciative that the salon reached out to help. I saw Janee and she did the best she could with what little hair I had left. She was very patient and professional as she watched the tears rolling down my face. I am grateful for her concern and her help--something that Melissa completely lacked. I am a year away from getting my hair back to the length it was. There's not a day that goes by that I do regret sitting down in Melissa's chair that day. I will post before and after pics and you see for yourself. read more

I moved from a metropolitan area a few months ago. Being very particular, durning my search, I was routed to Carly. After talking to Carly about color, I ended up going for a lighter shade and shortened my hair to an adorable and estyle. She did an incredible job lifting my brunette to a honey blonde. I am so happy. Carly is an incredible stylist who is going to go very far. The salon is clean and has a very friendly vibe. I'd recommend Jonas Marc and Carly for sure! read more

Love Jane'! does great work and always listens! saved my hair for my sons wedding when I was freaking out!

Megan you are FANTASTIC! I recently moved from Chicago to Myrtle Beach and was very nervous about finding a new colorist. Megan put me at ease as soon as I sat in her chair. My blond highlights are DYNAMIC! I get compliments on my hair every day since see cut & highlighted it. She defiantly knows blond hair. I'm so happy I found her. Very Happy Blond! read more

Getting my hair done is a little self care thing I do for myself. A really good haircut is not always easy to find. It's not really about the cost but more of finding that stylist that understands what you want but also offers valuable input of what will work with you hair type, facial features, age etc. Let's face it a really good stylist is a skilled artist. I don't expect the same haircut as the previous ten clients. Then I found Joann at Jonas Marc Style Studio. She gets me. She listens to me. I feel great when I leave there and my friends compliment my hair style and color. If you're looking for someone that styles for you with you see Joann at Jonas Marc Style Studio on 544. You'll be happy you did. You're welcome!! read more

Joann does such a great job on my hair. She always takes extra time blowing it out and styling it, to help me feel my best. I enjoying chatting with her as well, she's very genuine. The studio space is gorgeous, wide open, high ceilings and nicely decorated. I enjoy going there and so does my dad. read more

I sadly didn't end up loving my hair.. I was wanting a golden blonde all over and left with brown with ash blonde highlights.. I did inform the stylist that this is not what I wanted and she told me to "wash it and I will end up loving it". My hair is fried at the ends and dry..worse than what I started with sadly. I have sat with this for over a week waiting to see if I would but sadly I don't. I paid $424 plus a 20% tip which is pricy for highlights and a trim in my eyes. The hairstylist was very kind but I don't believe I will be back due to the price and quality of hair I left with. read more

We tried to find a location available for hair and makeup for an event in October and everything was booked. Fortunately, this place had availability and they were able to accommodate (3) of us for hair and makeup. The hair was phenomenal! No issues there. We showed a few pictures and they were able to get the job done! The makeup artist doesn't seem to be familiar/comfortable with people of different skin color. I say that as someone who has a caramel skin complexion. The air brush makeup and contouring made me look like as if I was at the Jersey Shore in the early 2000's. Heavy makeup, even though I said I do not wear makeup and was only looking for a fresh, clean face. Nothing crazy. Because I have brown eyes, the color purple was recommended to me and I kindly refused. It was offered again and I refused, again. After the eye makeup was done she showed me the look and I wasn't happy. It was too much makeup and she fixed it. But, there was just too much to fix and we were running out of time. She finished and I left straight to ULTA to purchase back up makeup and fix my face at the hotel. The eyelashes fell off about an hour into the event. Apparently the original makeup artist had quit the day before we were scheduled and the lady we had was back from maternity leave. She was super sweet and did a great job on my friend with much lighter skin. My other friend had the same issue I did and we share the similar skin color. Will be back for hair, but probably never again for makeup. read more

Overpriced. You can get more done - color, cut, style - for a reasonable price at other salons and it will be the same quality you'd receive here. Great salon but prices were a scam. read more

A salon I would never recommend to my enemies. They only care about money & put words in your mouth. I was a client (NEVER AGAIN) there & they claimed I said this & that, blah, blah, blah. It's never been about the $ it's always been about me trying to address the situation with etiquette at the front desk with another person with me who was there so they could not deny what they said. But they still denied everything. What's done is done, I have blocked them from my mind, I am not fake like them so I don't wish them well. I was trying to be as polite as I can be, unlike them. My friend from Cosmetology School - Ariana, helped me fix the mistake I had made resulting me with lots of damage. After going back to dark hair I wanted to slowing lighten my hair back up. She made my hair look better than people who have done my hair and practiced for years. Please don't be scared to give her a try! LOVE my hair and will be a return costumer. Love the style of the salon! read more

I had my haircut from Jennifer and she was amazing. I cut off 14in and then had a short bob and it was a perfect cut.

First and foremost everyone is wearing a mask ! Upscale salon located in Carolina Forest. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. I found Jane through a post related to finding a nail salon in our community. There are 2 chairs that are very comfortable and you are set back away from those getting their hair done. I was delighted with Jane because I explained my situation with my big toes and how she took her time to make sure it was done right AND IT WAS ! If you have visited nail salons in the past just to be a number and rushed in and out then contact Jane because she will treat you right!!! Your feet and hands will feel amazing! read more

While visiting myrtle beach this week, my manicure chipped. Some family here recommended Jonas Marc to me above any other place. I called and made an appointment and was able to get one same day. I ended up getting a mani and a pedi, because well.. why not, right?! My nail tech was Whitney and boy am i happy i came in. Whitney was fantastic. She asked me all the right questions- water temperature, length, shape, and if at any point she hurt me during the filing and shaping. My gel manicure was super difficult to remove to due the last place i went but Whitney took all the right steps to get the gel off with out damaging my nails. I am SO happy with my services today and next time i am in town, i will 100% be making an appointment! read more

Meagan is amazing! A few months ago, while dying my hair at home, I stripped the color making it a strange shade of bright yellow. I called the salon and Meagan was able to see me. Let me tell you, the lady can and does perform magic. I left the salon knowing I had finally found MY hairstylist! I returned to the salon for another appointment about a month later and Meagan touched up my hair and absolutely gave me the best haircut I have ever had! read more

Came in today for a pedicure and haircut. I saw Jane' for both. The pedicure was fantastic! She really knows what she is doing. I am a retired nail technician and this pedicure was one of the best I've ever had! I was cutting my hair from below the shoulder to short and not really sure what I wanted. Jane' took the time to really listen and figure out what would be best for my hair type and lifestyle. My hair is amazing! The whole salon was friendly, professional and meticulously clean. I highly recommend! read more

I moved to the area recently and asked a woman with great hair where to go. She told me to go to Jonas Marc Salon and to see Melissa. I have had bad experiences with finding a hairdresser in the past but not this time. Melissa is fantabulous! She is amazing with color and I love my cut. I am so happy to have found her because I cannot remember when I was this happy with my hair. Everyone at the salon is very friendly and nice. I highly recommend trying Jonas Marc salon. read more

Called Friday to get an appointment, my hair needed some love. They booked me for Tuesday with Erica, she was amazing! My hair was really knotty and she gave some suggestions as to what I could do but didn't push any specific products on me. I hate when I feel pressured to buy extra stuff. All of her suggestions were just that, suggestions, no pressure. She even explained a service she does with root touch ups for people who don't want to or can't afford to be at the salon constantly. Basically after a consultation and hair dye service, she will mix salon quality dye to your specific color and you can do it yourself at home! I will definitely be back for my stubborn grays ‍‍ She was amazing! If you're looking for a great cut and experience go see Erica! read more

Had a haircut at this salon with a very novice stylist. I came in with shoulder length hair, asked for an inch off and clean up the layers about a 1/2 inch. Showed her several photos , which included a goal hair style. I told her don't make my bangs short and as you can see from the photo I don't have any bangs left. She also took off over 5 inches, which I had to make even shorter do to her terrible cutting technique, as seen in photos. This was not a mistake or a misunderstanding or even a miscommunication this was just plain and simple lack of experience. I was told she had been In The industry 8 to 9 years but in truth, she has barely 6 years experience. After talking to the owner she did refund my charge for the haircut, citing it was a mistake and that I didn't like the results. Clearly this stylist needs more training. The haircut was such a mess , I have tried to fix it myself (retired stylist myself) but it is still A mess. The haircut on Me is so upsetting that I can't bare to look in the mirror. The more I try to work with this cut the worst look I get. This whole thing is very upsetting since it has taken me 10 plus months to grow out. It has been almost 40 years since I have been able to have a longer style do to health issues and now I have to start all over again. My self esteem is so low I cried all night and dreaded going to work to face my coworkers and the public. read more

I just moved to Myrtle Beach from California and was terrified to have a haircut since I have had the same person cut my hair for years there. I made an appointment at Jonas Marc with Whitney(Yes her Mom named her after Whitney Houston!!). She was very kind and understanding about my fear. But I have to say this is one of the best, if not the best, haircuts I have ever had. Thank you Whitney and I will see you again in 6 weeks. read more

My grandmother recently moved to the area and we needed a spa day so I called the salon and they were able to fit us in same-day(woohoo!)! The salon is beautiful and clean and the staff is incredible. My grandmother had wonderful Whitney who did a manicure, pedicure, and cut/shampoo. I was able to work with sweet Shenya ("Shenay") who did an awesome manicure for me. I highly recommend for any salon services (they do waxing, nails, makeup, and hair!) and we will be coming back. read more

Took my 4yr old daughter that has never had a hair cut, her hair was down to her butt she doesn't like to brush her hair and she had a MASSIVE knot I just knew when we came out of the salon she was going to have very short hair NOPE Jane' Armstrong did an amazing job on saving the length and taking it out of her eyes she also cut my hair mine was down to middle of my back and I took it all off and it feels and looks amazing!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and her! read more

Had a fabulous appointment with Chelsea on 5/31/18. Most importantly she corrected a terrible fashion color dye job that I received in Indiana. I provided the specific brand and color I wanted when I made my appointment. She went out of her way to obtain it. She was thorough in discussing what I wanted and made it happen. I have short hair and she razored it perfectly. She tried everything possible to clean up the color from the edges of my face, neck, and ears. Before I left, she suggested a vibrant color shampoo that I could use to reduce fading. read more
