He is very knowledgeable about the history of tkd and encourages everyone to push themselves and stretch (literally and figuratively) your abilities. Mr. Smith has been my coach for five years or so and I went from only being able to touch my shins to now stretching and being able to put my hands under my feet when I stretch. I had originally started tkd as a parent, simply watching. I loved the message Mr. Smith gave the kids about working hard and focusing mind, body and soul. This is what my child needed - a way to burn off excess energy, as well as focus. After attending several classes as a parent, I decided I needed to join as well. It turned out to be one of the best decisions ever! Mr. Smith provides a great workout, fantastic instruction and support as you grow through tae Kwon do. I encourage you to not only enroll your kids, but yourself, as well. I've always been a runner, but this helps with balance, flexibility and core strength, many of the things we "older" people are encouraged to work on as we age. During this pandemic when most gyms are closed and classes are cancelled, Mr. Smith has stepped outside of the box and has been doing videos online to help with forms, as well as online classes via zoom. I can't say enough about Mr. Smith and Confidence Club!

Yes, that really did happen and the worst part is that John didn't care one bit. John did the complete opposite of what any company known for "good customer service" would do. He insulted us and was wondering why we wouldn't want to come back to his gym where MRSA was contracted. He denied that there could be any trace of MRSA at his gym, but he never tested it and didn't worry about it, just brushed it off. We spent 2 months going from ER to ER all the way to a specialist and of course that equates to lots of medical bills and lots of missed time from work. Meanwhile, John showed zero understanding and support - all he cared about was his client coming BACK TO THE GYM to lose weight. Now I'm scared to touch anything at ANY gym, let alone ever come back to his. John refused to give any kind of refund even though we didn't finish the last two months of training. I would never do business with him again.
