People who come here for jewelry repairs should be aware that they no longer repair jewelry at this location . I've been sending my vintage jewelry here to repair for a while now but was told by the human shield lady at the counter today that Jon no longer work with silver pieces because he's too busy working with people who has "golds and diamonds." When I first started bringing my jewelry here to get fixed Jon gave me a spill about how he invested in a laser wielder and although he'd never make his money back he's here to "service the community." Great, I bring the pieces in, they get a tiny touch up done in 10 minutes. Now he's got a gold fish jewelry line he's too good for the regular small people, I asked if I could please talk to him and tell him how I want the pieces fixed, she said I could come back in an hour when he is available. Mind you I had called and asked if he's at the store and she said yes. I said I drove long way and can't just wait around an hour so I would just leave the jewelry pieces here and have him call me later so I could tell him what I wanted over the phone, she said "oh I got a better idea, here's a referral for someone down the street please take your jewelry there. I don't know how to make you understand but Jon doesn't work on this kind of stuff anymore. He works with people who has golds and diamonds." I was rather taken back by such a crass remark. So long story short, drove long way for him to fix something that should take 15 minutes, instead of taking care of a old customer I was told my junk weren't worthy his royal highness fancy establishment! I walked in today to get my favorite necklace repaired. The gold had broke from the pendant. I was greeted by a super friendly lady and she brought my necklace back to Jon to be repaired right then! As I waited the short few minute, I browsed the store looking at all the unique jewelry pieces. What I really loved is the employee never was hovering while I was admiring the jewelry, like so many other jewelry stores do. She let me look without pressure! Loved that! I came in with a round solitaire and asked for side trillions to give my ring an antique/vintage feel.
