We did have a few hiccups/issues on the initial permitting and early dig, but we were able to adapt and overcome, which I appreciated Steve's flexibility on.

We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. They're a standout and I'm so glad we found them.

Not only was he extremely experienced and efficient with the installation of this particular system, he charged us approximately $350 less than it would have cost us to go through one of the retailer's contractors. We are now able to realize much more usable space than before. Next job already scheduled for the hanging of a new barn door for the walk-in closet! With a new bike on the way, I found it was going to be quite a challenge storing it in our relatively small garage. I barely had enough room to squeeze the car in with just one bike, so purchased a ceiling hanging system. After the system arrived, I hired Wade Services to do the job. Upon arrival, he suggested an alternative solution that would allow for easier access to the bike. I went with his idea and was quite pleased with the results. Where there was once clutter and barely enough room for one bike, I now am able now able to fit two bikes (old bike pictured - new one will be placed where the tires are), store my ladders and camping tables, and still effortlessly park my full-sized SUV. He also offered other improvement ideas, which I will have installed at a later date. He also suggested new layout ideas for two of our closets. We also plan to have him install those as well! Great work at a reasonable price! Thanks again, Robert! Jimmy H

We had a really good taste of what working with Denver Handyman Services is actually like. Allow me to leave you with seven of their best attributes. 1. Matt is from New Zealand so every conversation is a fun one. You will prefer talking to him on the phone over e-mail just because of this. "I am running out to get something from Ace mate." You forget about how much money you're spending and just pretend you're in a movie or something. 2. They are not annoying to be around. We got a few quotes and honestly with a couple of the guys I could not imagine them being in my house for a month. Many were not busy enough to value your time and just wanted to chat and chat and chat. Matt and co. are pretty straight to the point. Small talk is efficient. 3. Matt said on several occasions that "anything is possible." I'm very particular esthetically and picked the most odd and difficult fixtures to work with. They were always gracious despite that having to be annoying. 4. They're really talented. Back to that "anything is possible." It's possible because these guys know their stuff. 5. Communication is on point. Like the home renovation TV shows, we were behind on the project and it went a little later than we expected. However, someone was always calling or e-mailing to make sure we knew what was going on. We always knew when someone was arriving, how long they'd be here and what to expect for the next day. 6. They are affordable. I got quotes that were much higher. It's not cheep, as it shouldn't be but I didn't feel like I'd rather spend a year on you-tube learning how to do it myself. 7. It was pretty clear that these are good people. You will tell them where you key is hidden and not worry about re-hiding it after they are done. They are talented, hardworking and want you to be happy.

I signed…read morea contract stating that Polymath would build a 3600sqft barn and 1200sqft cabin in 2019 on our property for an all-inclusive cost of $250,000. I paid Polymath $35,000 dollars on May 28, 2019, to get started on the permitting & structural components of the project. In July 2019 Polymath instructed me the materials for the barn and house had been ordered and he requested I pay $100,000 per the contract for the start of construction. After I paid the $100,000 the owner of Polymath became extremely hard to contact. He informed me several times that the materials were coming and all permits were ready to be issued. Towards the middle of August, it was apparent that the owner was deliberately stalling. When I pressured him initially he started passing blame to other vendors and the county officials. Once I discovered that was not the case he stated that he had been preoccupied with his sick dying mother and apologized for the delay. This excuse convinced me for a month that he was sincere and telling the truth. When Oct rolled around and I still had not seen any materials, permits, or work completed I became very worried that I had been conned for $135,000. The owner of Polymath & I had several phone conversations and he made more promises and had more excuses. I did a BBB and Google search before I hired Polymath but had a feeling there had to be others that had been conned. I did a more thorough background check on the owner and discovered that he had owned and closed another business by the name of Fabrum Builders in the Denver area. Fabrum Builders has numerous complaints filed with the BBB, BBB warning from June 16, 2017, and even a Denver Fox 31 TV story stating Fabrum Builder's owner took money from residential & business customers then "dropped off the grid". I also discovered the owner was arrested Jan 24, 2019, and is being charged with a class 4 felony relating to the theft of 3 verified Fabrum Builders customers and is scheduled for a jury trial March 3, 2020. After discovering this I tried multiple times to meet with the owner of Polymath and was finally successful Dec 13, 2019. At that time I informed the owner that I was aware of his previous company Fabrum Builders and knew about his legal issue concerning his old company. I told him that I was tired of his excuses and insisted that he return my money. He begged me stating he really needed this job and that he is not guilty of any wrongdoing ever. I stood my ground and insisted that he return my money. I told the owner I was worried if he still had my money and he replied that he still had it. I told him if he could prove to me that he still had my money than we could discuss moving forward on my project. I asked that he show me on his phone the current balance in his account so I could be confident he still had my money. The owner replied my bank does not offer that service. I stated I wired money to Bank of the West, which is one of the largest banks in Denver so I know you are lying. It was at that time the owner insisted on leaving and then threatened to call the police if I would not allow him to leave. Needless to say, this matter has not been resolved.
