Ambiance here usually busy mornings, staff works quickly to get orders out. However, I received my donut holes a dozen for $2 with change. They weren't as fresh and were on the soggy side, not as fluffy or crisp as I have had them in other places. 2/5 Coffee is basic here I have had it, maybe if they started offer other types of creamers then it would enhance their coffee. I'm not a fan of coffee mate and that's what they offer here. They also offer small catering services I.e. coffee, donuts, juices, etc for meetings but my friend said the cost is on the expensive side. Other than that, it is reliable in the sense that it stays open late during the day/evening so in case you need a quick bite, they offer sandwiches as well. read more

The donuts were for my 12 year old. A little treat before his late start day. Here were his sentiments: The donuts were crispy on the outside, yet melted in his mouth. The donuts had "premium stuffing gunk." Several nods of approval were had. I had a bit of the fruit/cream filled pastry. It was flaky and buttery! Dense but light all at once. I also liked the brush of cinnamon sugar on top. Nice touch. The surprise for me was that they had protein shakes on the menu. Saw a big container of whey protein. The lady behind the counter was lovely. There were lots of customers, but she worked fast. There's a small seating area to the left of the counter. There was ample parking when I came, around 11am. This donut shop has come in so handy for a quick pick me up or teacher/work/class appreciation treat! It's just a block from my house. They make no frills donuts that are always fresh and delicious. You won't find any crazy animal shaped donuts or cronuts at this place. It's a family owned business and they are very friendly. Located in an outside complex that has ample parking. They take cash and unlike other donut shops they also take cards and Apple Pay. My only complaint is the price. Didn't realize that it went up quite a bit. I got a dozen mixed donuts for teacher appreciation week, they threw in a few donut holes, and paid nearly $20. I get the inflation prices but that's a little crazy to me. read more

1 1/2 minute read: MANY YELPERS normally will not have a planned itinerary, when they visit establishments. At least I don't. Meaning, with JOLLY DONUTS, I didn't specifically PLAN on going there. While driving, I happened to be dreaming about my two favorite MAPLE BAR &POWDERED LEMON FILLED. Then, without expecting it, I saw the Jolly Donut shop. Parking is not that abundant but I didn't have trouble looking for a space. Their menu offers all the favorite donuts people may like. The also have cold/hot sandwiches, cookies, Thai Tea, drinks and H2O too. I usually ask the The Attendant their name, but I forgot. Nice quiet place ... quite empty as they are closing in 15mins they have probably 10 extra boxes of donuts sitting on the side for the App people to pick up one...Basically the donuts were sweating already meaning a bit old but can be revived by air frying it. So, here was how things went: Apple Fritter ($1.75) - Not that I'm an apple fritter snob by any means, but there was a certain way I liked mine and sadly they didn't fulfill that. First off, I thought they didn't have any until the kind woman pointed them out to me; they looked like gigantic round glazed donuts. And, there were hardly any apple bits that warranted its name. In a neighborhood inundated with donut dispensaries, I have a few basic qualifications: 1) Good ham & cheese croissants (croissant must use real butter, be different from bread, contain ACTUAL swiss cheese) 2) Inviting shopkeeper with basic customer service skills. 3) Reasonably strong, fresh coffee Donut mongers achieving those three earn a 4 star rating in my book. I really like Jolly donuts though they only pass the latter of the two tests. For all of your donut, rather than croissant needs, they are just fine. One note- Jolly Donut has the distinction of not one, but TWO fiberglass tables outside, complete with fiberglass umbrellas. Fancy. read more

When I first moved to CA almost two years ago, this was the first place I stopped at for coffee and breakfast. Since then I have loved coming back as much as I can, when I can. They always have such great coffee and food; More than that, the hospitality is always so welcoming and warm.
