The customer service is good and the donuts are always fresh when I come in and get my regulars, also they have some good amazing strawberry lemonade that is full of strawberries (very good). I went here craving donuts and I'm am so disappointed. The service sucks. There were 2 workers who are both rude and disrespectful. This establishment is probably the worst I have been to. Yum yum donuts had good products but they need to work on their service and attention to detail. When we came in there was clearly no competent management. Everybody was running around in a very unorganized way. (6 or 7 employees) which is more than enough to handle a busy breakfast place of that size. Stations must be set for each person. One register, one bagel person, one coffee person and a pastry person. That's obviously not including the baker. I stood in line and the woman at the register told me that I don't order there, (by the register) and to wait for somebody to assist me. So they take orders before they charge, which I have no problem with. But it's obviously not working for them. They don't fifo (first in first out). They don't get the order correct even if they wrote it down. They charge the order wrong on the POS so that you can't even complain. I ordered two bagels with modifications and she even wrote them down. When she charged she charged it incorrectly and said it was because of the pricing so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. (She seemed new). We ended up getting one order correct but the other bagel was just identical to the first. My partner is allergic to tomatoes and we could not even have him eat it. Frankly I'm really upset. People go out to get food to get their cravings met. And let's just say this experience really was horrifying. This establishment needs better employees, or a manager that will train them accordingly. 2 bagels took 35 minutes. Yes I'm not kidding. They were normal busy, anybody with the staff they had could have handled that smoothly. I managed restaurants before and I am so dissatisfied. Not to mention that I saw a man leave just because the line situation and establishment clearly had no order. This is honestly the best donut/breakfast food place! All their stuff is delicious and my employees and I are obsessed with their hot chocolate, it is incredible. I like to go to Yum Yum donuts for their cold sanwiches and usually go to the Canoga Park location and the North Hollywood ones. The canoga park is my favorite. Always on top of freshness and quality. I was in the van nuys area today and wanted something quick so I got myself 2 cold sandwiches. I gotta say both bagels were stale and dry. Even after they were toasted in the oven. Never had this issue at any other yum yum location. Makes me think they are old and have been there for a while. I won't be coming back at least to this location. 13 bucks for 2 sandwiches stale and dry. I visited Yum Yum Donuts and was pleased to see they now have bowls, so I ordered one with ham and cheese. We received our croissant and donut, then waited ten minutes. Each time the baker came up with a tray of fresh donuts the cook lady stepped aside and did not return to her work area right away. This happened twice while she was preparing my egg bowl. When we finally sat down to wait for our bowl (now late for Church), I noticed the cook was jut then cutting up the ham for my bowl. (the was empty). After another 5 minutes i was handed my bowl cold with shredded cheese on top that wasn't even melted. I brought the bowl to the counter and asked the cashier to have it heated. The same lady put my bowl down on her food prep area and continued to make sandwiches for people that just placed there orders. I told the cashier to keep her bowl and give me my money back, which she quickly did. Was I treated this way because I am a White Woman in Van Nuys? 8/12/18 I was there to get my usual croissant deli turkey sandwich well toasted and onion bagel with cream cheese well toasted as well ive been coming to this location for about 2 years i knew the older gentleman that worked there he made my sandwiches really good his name is Angel very good hard working man he gave out 100% service and food he prepared was amazing also the other guys that work there do a really great job but tonight i was just there a little after midnite i encountered the worse service i can not remember the lady that works there in making the sandwiches did a horrible job i even told her i was not happy how she prepared my sandwich i was looking forward to eating after not eating since breakfast because of my job i told the lady in the first place about making my croissant well toasted the first thing i tell her while she was toasting the bread she didnt do that also every person that i encountered that worked in that location always asks about what would i like to put on my sandwich she didnt bother in asking me what so ever she took the liberty in making it how she wants to do it i said to her excuse me i dont eat onions on my sandwich and also no mustard she turns around with an attitude and tells me "you did not tell me" i told her you didnt ask me i even said to her my was not toasted at all when i asked her i wanted it well done please she did not bother in even pay attention in what i told her i was really mad and at this point i wanted to leave the store and not pay for it so decided to stay but it does not stop there she kept on asking are you taking anything else like if i have no money i felt like she wanted to kick me out of the store at that point i was planing on taking a bunch of donuts for my coworkers but i decided on not doing that i really dont appreciate how i was treated by this lady she was very abnoxious and very rude she definitely does not deserve the fact even to deal with customers she has no way on handling people she has very poorly manners in talking to customers this is not the first time i have encountered this with her this is my 4th time i was thinking she was having a bad day but no she is always having a bad day i surely will never go back to this location ever again also i hope management sees this review i hope other people can please take in consideration what i had to endure i wont recommend to receive service from this lady also as i am typing this im looking at my sandwich it is poorly prepared and poorly put together i will even try to post pictures of this dam this made my nite also she burnt off the bagel !!! The donuts here are pretty decent and at 3am they still taste pretty fresh. I got a box of just assorted goodies here a few weeks ago when my husband and I had a sweet tooth. I also love their donut holes although they can sometimes be too overloaded with sprinkles. My biggest gripe was that I was really hankering for one of their bagel sandwiches. I went to order one and the guy at the counter told me the weren't selling them right now. It wasn't that he couldn't make me one, they just weren't selling them till about 6am or 7.
