I have been to this donut shop several times in the past, but not in a long time. Today, around 12:30pm, I was craving for some latte, some kind of a baking good/S so I got up and went there. Walked in, and started to take my photos before I placed my order with Kimberly. She came out of the kitchen with a unibrow wondering why am I taking pictures? All lost & confused. I tried explaining to her that I am doing this to write a review on Yelp, she still didn't budge and said.. "you should ask first," I said if you give me a good service, then you will get a nice review on Yelp. Then she put a nice smile on her face! I ordered Bacon, Swiss & Egg croissant, another croissant that came with Cream Cheese & Strawberry, and medium size coffee. I wanted latte, instead of the coffee, they didn't have it, wanted DECAF coffee, and she said they only had regular. So I got regular coffee. They have everything from croissants, to bagels, to muffins, hot and cold beverages, smoothies add boba, and also refrigerated drinks! Food was very good and fresh!! Kimberly was nice, sweet and helpful...she got my order right and I told her to warm up my sweet croissant, and she did. Thank you Kimberly. She was also nice enough not to charge me for a medium size water. That is because I left her $2.00 tip. Still a kind gesture:-) Prices are very affordable. For medium size coffee, 2 croissants I paid $15.20. Place was cozy, small, clean and parking shared with other businesses.Two other things, they don't have a bathroom for customers, and they need to have a normal itemized receipt! read more

How have I not left a review for Classic Donut yet? This is our go-to neighborhood donut shop. They have a good variety of donuts to choose from, as well as coffee and various teas (including boba which my wife loves). Their Indian teas are especially good. The staff (and I assume owners) are super friendly and helpful. They always are in a good mood and happy to see people. The prices are good too, and they have a special price if you get a dozen donuts (well worth it). And the donuts are good! My favorite is the Boston cream filled. The only downside to this place is the parking lot is small and shared, and it's also a nightmare to get in and out. read more

First off, this shop has so much potential. Unfortunately they fell short in multiple areas. Selection today at 10am was nearly non existent. Too many classics missing. No chocolate twists, barely any glazed, no chocolate sprinkle, minimal jelly donuts. The coffee was the last nail in the coffin. Watered down coffee that tasted like a third or fourth serving of the same K Cup pod used over and over again. Finally, there was no creamer, milk available at the table. We ordered a couple of glazed donuts, maple bar, chocolate twist, and cinnamon roll. All were pretty decent but a little on the oily side and the frosting was so light that you could see through the chocolate and maple. I'm not sure how else to explain it other than it was basically a plain donut with a sneeze of the maple and chocolate. Donuts are donuts at the end of the day and they did the job. Craving cured. I've lived a few blocks from here for almost 3 years and am obsessed with the sausage egg and cheese croissant sandwich. The donuts are fabulous, the iced coffee is delightful and the owners are the sweetest people. Never a bad dish or interaction. I love this neighborhood shop! 3.13.2013 These folks at Classic get an extra star just for being way into what they do. They open at 4:30 am to be ready for those in the valley who need a hot coffee and some munchies for the ride in the dark to work. Personally, I'm not a giant donut eater, but i love the occasional apple fritter. Also the warm ham and cheese and turkey and cheese croissants are life savers at 5am. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 5.30.2018 5 years later I still get bananas, muffins and donuts here. 6.25.2019 6 years later I still like going here. This place is near church so if I'm early, I stop in for coffee and a quick non-healthy breakfast. I wonder if they've changed ownership because I don't recall it being as clean or orderly as it was on my most recent visit. The place is small, but very friendly and like I mentioned, super clean and well laid out. The selection isn't big, but you'll find something you'll like I bet. I'd recommend skipping the doughnuts and going for the croissants... my chocolate croissant was delicious! Fresh tasting and with a very buttery texture. Purists would say too buttery... but is there such a thing? I think not. Coffee is just so-so... nothing special. But service is friendly and prices are more than fair. They even have savory croissants, which I suspect would make a fabulous and decadent lunch treat. read more

Downside: there is no air co, and also the bakery case is small so the selection is small also. $1.80 for a fruit, chocolate, or cheese croissant. This places has a real espresso machine. Save yourself the trouble and go to "Classic Doughnuts and Croissants" on Riverside Drive not too far away. The donuts here ain't that fresh and they give 2 slices of meat on your $7 after tax sandwiches; I am never coming back. That other place I mentioned gives like 7-8 slices of meat same price. This tiny little donut and breakfast shop is located in a strip mall on a very busy intersection and is impossible to find parking at but has been our staple go to for breakfast for many many years... This place is a gem if you enjoy frequenting mom and pop owned businesses. Kimberley and Steve are the owners. They are incredibly kind and polite. The donuts are very high quality and a dozen includes almost all the donuts in the case - which is rare now-a-days. They also have this delicious ham, cheese and jalapeno croissant thing - to die for. (There might be a little heartburn involved afterwards but it's worth it). My husband loves the breakfast sandwich. People just come in and sit because the place is nice and clean and the owners are very welcoming. I just read about the plastic shard story and I wouldnt be surprised, this place is pretty sketchy. it was a couple of months ago and I took a short walk to this donut shop. usually I prefer hollys which is a few blocks away, but I was in a hurry and didnt have the time to walk the extra distance, so I picked this place. the owner was so nice, service with a smile and all. I ordered a hot latte but qhen I got my drink I mixed the foam just a little and already noticed what seemed to be a pubic hair in my drink!!!! I was so disgusted and told her, "excuse me, but theres a hair in my drink" and she just gave me this blank stare. so then after getting no response to the problem I just said, its ok I'll just take the donut (not even sure why I even took anything) but after saying that she just responded with "so you dont want the drink anymore?" seriously lady, some nerve.. that was a terrible experience and she was so indifferent about it. Don't go here. I bought 10 croissants and 12 doughnuts. It came out to 25.75. I told the woman I was unemployed, so money is tight. I always know something is off when a cashier doesnt want to give you the receipt. My gut told me to double check the receipt. But I waited until today, sure enough she kept some of my money. Went in here for a breakfast sandwich and a croissant one morning and left happy! The menu here is huge. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel and it was great! Nearly perfect. Large selection of donuts, bagels, sandwich and lunch combos and drinks. The staff was quick, professional and kind. I waited til I came to this shop a couple of times before I left a review. The reason why I even stopped in was because of a particular smoothie they make. One day my co-worker was drinking a bluish-purplish smoothie. Taro? I asked. Nope. Not even close. It's lemon, blueberry and banana. What?! What's that? It's a splendor in your mouth that's what. DO NOT EVEN THINK OF PATRONIZING THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU EXEPCT ANY SEMBLANCE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I stopped here today for the first time to get a donut, cup of coffee and do a little homework. The extremely rude lady behind the counter did not acknowledge me but was quick to tell me how much I owed her for my order. They serve coffee out of large thermos style containers and of course I chose the flavor of coffee (regular) that was nearly empty and only filled my cup a little over halfway. To top it off the coffee was lukewarm and it contained grounds. I kindly inform the lady that the coffee was bad to which she replied "no it's strong."I attempted to reason with her and again told her the coffee was bad and it contained grounds. I asked her if she was going to make another pot and she said no. At this point I was not in the mood to settle for a hazelnut or French vanilla brand; I merely wanted a cup of regular coffee. I asked her for a refund and she said no because the coffee was good. I told her that she was providing poor customer service and that I would surely let people know how displeased I was. However, she appeared not to care and picked up the cup of coffee that I left behind as I walked out of the location. I guess it was her style to choose the quick buck over a potential long-term customer. So much for the customer is always right. I definitely will not return and I strongly encourage those thinking about stopping not to do so. read more

I got an expired orange juice and did not know until half way through. I let the owner know and he said to get a different one. To my surprise they were all way expired. I checked a different brand same thing. I checked there last brand it was still good to drink. I told him i will have this one and he charged me another quarter. I told him that they were almost all expired he did not seem to care. I went back 3 days later and all the expired orange juices were still there. I love this place... The staff is always happy to see me and even knows my order (they knew it after 3 visits) I go out of my way to go to classic because I want them to survive.
