I came back, and they finally had the Spicy Chickenjoy in stock...WAHOO!! I initially got in the drive-thru line, but it was ridiculously long, so I bailed and went inside instead. The staff was friendly, but I do think the ordering line inside could be managed better. The layout makes it hard to tell where the line begins and ends. A woman accidentally tried to cut in front of half the line because she thought I was next to order, when I was actually the last person in line. It wasn't really her fault, it was just confusing. Maybe some tape on the floor with arrows or a better queue setup would help. They have the rope barriers, but they don't seem to be doing the trick. One thing I was a little disappointed by was that this location doesn't offer the Chicken joy combo with sides **and** a pie. The Concord location has that meal, and it's a much better value than the standard combo with just the sides. I was hoping this location would have it too, but maybe it'll be added to the menu in the future. As for the food, everything was delicious! The Spicy Chickenjoy was actually spicier than I remembered, which I enjoyed. The fries were just okay, but the mashed potatoes and mac & cheese were both really good. My husband also ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich Deluxe with spicy mayo and jalapeño coins to try (in addition to our go-to spicy chicken joy) and he actually preferred the sandwich over the Spicy Chickenjoy we usually get. And don't skip the mango peach pies, they were so good! The only downside is that the drive-thru gets incredibly backed up, but the food definitely hit the spot, and I'm glad I finally got to enjoy the Spicy Chickenjoy again. read more

I absolutely could not wait for Jollibee to reopen and apparently all of Stockton felt the same way. Whew!!! We had to wait about a month after the grand opening and it was still really busy but we finally made it in. The inside of the store is pretty tiny. Not much seating, there are some outside tables but it was cold so we decided to take our food to go. Since it was our first visit we had questions and the cashier was very patient with us which I appreciated. We tried the chicken, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, biscuits and mango pies. We all thought the chicken was pretty good. Crispy and juicy, I just wished it wasn't only dark meat. The mashed potatoes were a little lumpy and definitely tasted like instant-we weren't a fan but the gravy is lit! Dip your chicken in it and thank me later. We also enjoyed the spaghetti which is on the sweet side but also had a smoky taste. Very different to what most people are used to but it's good. The biscuits are fast food standard. I didn't try the pies but my son and bf thought they were good. Overall we enjoyed it and have already gone back once more. If it is busy just be prepared for a little wait. read more

I'm the Program Manager at Central Valley Training Center (CVTC) in Stockton, CA, an Adult Day Program dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities. This is such a huge shopping center and they squished Jollibee into the corner with a weird drive thru angle, and the tiniest indoor seating I've ever seen. There was no room to wait around let alone barely any tables to actually eat. They had more table seating outside but it's actually near the dumpster so there wasn't a nice smell outside to say the least. Luckily they give you a pager so you don't need to be waiting like sardines inside, but it wasn't super ideal. The wait was also extremely long just for two combo meals! A manager had to direct people a couple times while we were there. The wait time from ordering to receiving our food was normal/acceptable for fast food. The staff was friendly and welcoming. PROS: 1) Despite other comments on this thread to the contrary, I think their chicken taste stands up to other Jollibee restaurants in the US and abroad. 2) Convenient location CONS: 1) This location was probably designed by some corporate numbskulls who were only thinking profit on their investment and not about pleasing the customer. That is why there is almost no seating space on the establishment. So the unspoken message from management/ownership is, "Get your chicken and GO HOME! Don't even bother trying to eat here." 2) Further to the above regarding corporate profits, the pricing scheme at the Stockton location seems to be the same as that of locations in other major cities. So it seems that management doesn't care about the economic demographics of Stockton, and are all about taking in as much as possible. If the corporate marketing people did their jobs, they would find a way to promote discounts like the 12 piece Chickenjoy Meal Deal that other locations offer. 3) Like other people have commented on this thread, there were like at least twenty (20) personnel working behind the counter during my visit, but it took almost twenty (20) minutes for me to get my order. Total inefficiency. It appears that the staff hasn't been really trained in functioning as a high-performance/high-output team. I mean, does it REALLY require twenty people, at any given time, to make fried chicken? If your main product is making fried chicken, the management should focus on doing this quickly at a high-volume pace. That's it. Tried Jollibee yesterday and was surprised it wasn't too busy--there wasn't much of a wait. The inside is pretty small, especially the ordering area, so it makes sense why lines can form outside. There's no real indoor dining, just a small seating area while you wait, plus a few tables outside. The chicken was good--crispy and flavorful. But the adobo rice was a miss for me--it was mushy and didn't have much flavor, almost like plain rice with a gravy texture. The Angus Aloha Yumburger was good, and my husband enjoyed the pineapple touch. I ordered the Palabok and was expecting it to come with shrimp and lemon slices, but it did not. It was okay, but not something I would order again. The Jolly Spaghetti was disappointing. It was quite dry, with some of the pasta ends hard and only a small dollop of sauce in the center, it went to waste. Next time, we'll try the chicken and adobo rice, although I've read several reviews saying the adobo flavor is pretty mild. The service was okay. The Yum Burger was about a 6/10 for me. It wasn't bad at all, just a little too small & plain for my liking. Today was pancit palabok day. No waiting in line at 2 pm. Lots of people,waiting for their orders. All dining tables filled. I love the palabok but it can do with a little bit more sauce and chicharon topping. My main question is what happened to the calamansi packet that used to come with the palabok? I am never one to sit down and write a yelp review, but I experienced THE WORST food poisoning from my meal Sunday night. I would proceed with caution as, yes, this is a very new location, but as a 209 local, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of food I received, having had an unpleasant 8-12 hours after eating the meal around 8:30pm. Seasoning on the Chickenjoy has been lacking last few times I have gone, & with this incident something tasted fairly off. Spaghetti and gravy tasted completely fine, I will say. Took 20 mins waiting in drive thru line to order. They dont currently have tenders and don't serve chicken breast in their chicken meals, only legs and thighs. The sandwich is chicken breast. Ordered mashed potato's peach mango pie, spicy and original chicken sandwich with fries, last a pineapple drink. They had us wait for our chicken sandwiches. Waited 10-15mins for our food. The fries were cold and sucked because they were cold. Complete waste of money. The mashed potato's did taste good but again COLD, so didn't eat them. The biscuit was barely warm and had to use to scoop up the mashed as they failed to add utensils even when I specifically asked before I left the window to wait. Also didn't get the ketchup I also asked for, but would have been a waste as the fries were inedible because they were served COLD! The chicken sandwich was the only item we received hot. It was a good sandwich but for the wait we could go across the street and get hot fries or elsewhere. Disappointed in the cold food. Will be a while before I come back here. Jollibee is for people who don't know how to cook chicken well and or are just lazy. The chicken is fried to the perfect point, just not much flavor in the batter, also don't have a spicy option yet. Fries are decent but cold by the time we got home. Didn't order any other sides cause I have no reason to get dirty rice & spaghetti from a chicken spot. I can wholeheartedly say the gravy was the highlight of the meal by far. Most hyped part was easily the pies, they need some cinnamon or something but the sweetness of peach & mango just wasn't for me. So... this is the second Jollibees.. after the first location off west lane and hammer closed in 2018 and here we are again 7 years later. I've actually had Jollibees before a number of times (first time around 2002) being your Bay Area locations and sometimes safe. I've heard the first Jollibee closure was due to high building rent costs of course it's shared building space... but now I've seen their social media posts regarding the new Stockton location (and another NYC somewhere) about first 50 customers this and that drive through or online order or in line for pickup... Not mentioning dine in like their other grand opening in NYC.. so hmmm and this Stockton location is small. So thought to myself is this the first non dine in Jollibee... ever?... Like how I went to the McDonalds downtown one time to wait and and eat in while having my car worked on across the street but came to find out you got a tall and short table but no chairs and a timed limit?? So I actually had a chance to speak with a higher up working there like a week before this new location opening when I just parked and wanted to check it out and seeing a car approached coming out he said that they're obviously not opened yet; nice guy named Dave. We chatted and yes there is no dine in but it may just be temporary but they're going to setup an outdoor dining area. Id assume maybe rent costs is lesser this time as to why the first location is closed but he said the first location was in a bad area and bad crime. Hmm. Plus there isn't going to be much staff because .. well it's small. He said it could be booming soon for just these small Togo/ drive through type locations though there will be a small seating area but that's where revenue will be a bit more. So I frankly think this will be a drive thru/ to go only and just eat in the car or parking lot - I'd think a dine in area would be nice but depends if there are going to be ppl loitering or just hanging around and being sketchy but since this is part of the mall I'd imagine there's a good security presence as well as police presence as they can stop by the mall sometimes especially with some of the reserved police parking spots out there. I came through coming from the gym on opening day on Good Friday and blew it eating meat.. arrived 7:30pm and the line was slowly moving. The store manager's family came thru out of town and congratulated her on the new location and so I wish her well in running this place for years to come. And so it was an hour and a half wait and I had a 3pc burger steak gravy patties with rice for myself which was delicious.. and got palabok to bring home to the fam along with 5 mango pies. They had a temp outside dining area with 4-5 tables with chairs and several umbrellas for shade and that's where I ate. I'd imagine it'll still be busy like this for maybe another two weeks until it dies down but then again their flyer has promos starting after 4/10 until end of June if you buy a certain amount of food you get a free chicken sammich.. $3 off any $15 or more purchase. Food was Great! Gave me nostalgia. Picking up food was not so great. Watched about 5 orders get picked up before mine. Asked the person who dispatches the food what's taking so long, Told me "they're still making the burger" really?!?! 2 burgers!?!?!? I quite shocked when I saw the size of their chicken thigh. Normally it is a good size for a thigh part like the last time we went here. But today, we ordered 2 pieces and each piece of the Thigh part is half the size of the regular thigh size. I even have to go back in the counter to ask them if this is the size of their chicken now or if it was a half size since I ordered a half and half (means half spicy and half regular). When she confirmed it is the size of the thigh I was shocked. She had to apologies as she also know how small the chicken was. Overall, the taste is still good. Mine was nice and juicy. The food taste horrible! I had a chicken sandwich, fries, and soda, and my granddaughter had a burger, fries, and soda. The food quality was NOT good we took 2 or 3 bites out of our sandwich and burger and ate some fries and threw the rest in the garbage! We will never eat here again.
