Jollibee has been all the hype since it has arrived in Edmonton. Everyday I drive by and the tent line up is packed at all hours. Today the line was much smaller than we have ever seen so we decided to brave the line up! They quoted us 30 minutes. Which is almost exactly what it took to get our food and walk out the doors. We didn't know the next time we'd have the chance to wait in line so we ended up picking up quite a few items! We went with the Bucket B (6 pieces of spicy chicken, 3 mango peach pies, 1 large family spaghetti), 1C which is a two piece plain chicken with rice and gravy, yum burger combo and the pineapple juice! We saved it for a few hours and heated the chicken back up in the oven. The sweet spaghetti and yum burger is really good BUT the stars of the show are the spicy chicken with rice and gravy and the peach mango pies with pineapple juice. We wouldn't order the regular chicken again the spicy chicken is actually so spicy and amazing we would choose it over plain! I think the wait was 100% worth it. read more

I waited in line for 45 minutes as I was very curious with this new fast food chain. Once inside, i noticed only two cash registers and lots of people working in the kitchen. The orders were fast once inside but a limit of $60, only 3 burgers and no re-orders once you are done. Isn't that unusual for a fast food policy? I ordered all that is in the menu : the burger steak is good with rice, palabok was okay, canned pineapple juice is sweet, spaghetti was disappointment (sweet sauce, cheap hotdog and cheese), burger (taste good but low grade meat) and chicken was crunchy and really delicious if eaten right away. I have eaten in filipino restaurants and this is not real filipino food except for palabok. It might be nostalgic for some but not worth the waiting time and the price. I won't be coming back unless their us something new on the menu. read more

My opinion is its very underwhelming. I went with the spaghetti and chicken which is a dish that they are famous for. The spaghetti had a sweet sauce, cut up wieners and some cheese on top. Reminds me when I was a kid and Mom would make weiner and beans, but in this case with spaghetti and sweet sauce. Lol The chicken comes orginal or spicy. The orginal is flavorless. The spicy is just flavorless chicken with a ton of cayenne pepper on the deep fried chicken skin. If you are sensitive to having burning lips and mouth I would suggest to refrain from the spicy. We couldn't figure out why they gave me a couple containers of gravy with my meal. I found out from a seasoned Jollibee regular you dip your chicken in the gravy. Which makes sense since the orginal chicken has zero flavor. Two thumbs up for they serve Pepsi products over Coke. Other than that this is a place I will probably never eat at again, unless someone is buying and if that's the case its fries and gravy with a Pepsi. read more

Well probably a bit shocking for a low review but sadly it had to be. After waiting a few weeks I finally had the enough time and will to stand in line for a few hours to try it out. As a food enthusiast and reviewer I had to try and well let's say it wasnt really what I expected. The service was good cant complain about it since they just opened and what not. The food came up pretty fast and yeah. Heres the bad news as soon as we got home the chicken was pretty cold and it was only a 10 minute drive back home so. The chicken was cold same with the spaghetti. The only thing I really liked was the mango pie that was pretty good. I understand the whole thing about being very busy let's get this food fast out but you gotta make sure is right. I opened a few restaurants in my cooking career and I know how hard it is the first few days of opening a new restaurant mostly something this big but still gotta make it right. They have to many people working at a small restaurant I saw at least 5 kids standing around doing nothing but that's on them. I wasnt very happy about the food quality for how long I waited and how much it was. Not sure if I'll be back there again even after it calms down. read more

I went to Jolibee to see what all of the Hype was about. Of course, it lived up to its busy reputation, with a line reaching the door. The line did move surprisingly fast however. I was with my family, my mom and my brother both got the chicken with rice and spaghetti, whereas me and my dad got the "yumyum burger" with fries, and a peach mango pie. We also got the Pineapple Quencher Beverage. I bit into the burger (which had no mayo sauce due to my allergy) and was immediately disgusted. It didn't even taste like beef. The fries were ok, standard fast food fries. The hits, were the peach mango pie, the pineapple drink, and the service. The pie was unlike anything I've ever had, it was great. I finished the pineapple drink in a matter of minutes, I was in love with it. The service was fast and reliable. The chicken, according to the my mom and brother, was nothing special. The spaghetti however, was disgustingly sweet, and the addition of hot dogs was not a good choice. I would not return to Jolibee, unless I feel like a good pie, and some pineapple juice. read more

I called in a pick up order, and due to car troubles we were half an hour late. When I got there, I approached the door with an insulated bag for my food, thinking that I would check in before getting in line since it was a pick up. I was immediately met with an employee named Nick yelling that they don't do delivery so to go to the next restaurant. This went on for a few minutes while I tried to explain that I had a pick up order, and after he realized he tried to tell me that was what he had been asking all along. After I told him my name he went to check in on the order. After which he came outside, asked me in an incredibly condescending tone what time it was currently and the time of my order. After I confirmed that I was late and told him that we had a situation making us late, he went back inside saying that the order might be remade. He came back out and yelled at me that the order was cancelled, that they would not remake the order. Which, if expressed in a rational way would have been fine, but he screamed it at me in the parking lot with a full line of customers watching. I left, and was so frustrated that I couldn't stop from crying at how I had been treated for a situation so commonplace as having car troubles and picking up an order 30 minutes late. We then called the store to speak to a manager, which we were told the manager would not speak with us and would call us back. After probing the young teenage girl taking our call, it became clear that the manager had no intention of calling us back and this treatment of customers and staff is commonplace at this restaurant. The manager then proceeded to scream at the girl taking the call, and she hung up crying. Do NOT eat at this restaurant, they are abusive to employees and customers, and do not deserve your business. Police were called to ensure the safety of the employee. If I could put no stars I would. read more

We placed an online prder of 20 piece chicken order, waited for almost 1 hour only to find out we got 10 pieces. Called the store and told us to contact Doordash, only then will they give us the missing order. Doordash tried to reach them and no answer at all. Delicious crispy chicken and pies. Need more info? We got the 12 pc chicken treat with rice, the chicken was simple and well seasoned. We consume our orders about 90 mins after we ordered it for takeaway. If it were the Popeye chicken it would have been soggy by the time we got home which was a 10mins drive away compared to Jollibee's chicken which was not only still hot but very crispy without having to be warmed up. BTW Jollibee is a 35 mins drive away from my home. My kids could not stop eating, they are very picky eaters. There were no leftovers considering I ordered the 12pc and usually half is leftovers from other places. I have yet to try their other menu items but I don't think I will be disappointed. Definitely a great recommendation for any true fried chicken lover. Pineapple juice is also a huge hit for me, tastes just like the one I juice at home.
