If you haven't tried Jollibee, what are you waiting for? Especially when you can use UberEats and get this stuff delivered to you no matter where you live, seriously? I used to live in Forest Glen and am so sad they didn't have this here when I did (it was a Kmart!). Now that I live a good 30 minute drive away, I still crave the bee and we order it to be delivered if we can't make it out there. We did make the haul once, but the seating is very limited - beware! The fry pies (mango-peach) alone are worth the order, but the chicken - with GRAVY is delicious, and being able to have white rice with gravy with it is all the better. A lot of times when we order they don't have the meat patties, which I want to try, but I'll keep trying!! read more

How about CLEAN YOUR FILTHY RESTAURANT! There are plenty of employees milling about - give them brooms or wipe down at least one table. The men's room was horrifying! The sink is a foot away from the urinal with no partition so to wash the fried chicken off my hands I have to squeeze past some guy taking a leak to get to a dirty sink with garbage in it - totally unacceptable. The area around the toilet was gross as can be. Did the guy in charge of cleaning quit and just not tell anybody? The food was terrific, but I'm never going back because I doubt your kitchen is sanitary. SHAME ON YOU. read more

Was really excited to try this. The line is long and it's about a 30 min wait for your food. I hear it's like this even without the pandemic. Jolly spaghetti - this was my favorite. Sweet and savory. The meat chucks are nice and the noodles al dente Chicken joy - crispy and juicy. The niece loved this Adobo rice - flavor was nice but rice was mushy Palabok fiesta - was the boat excited for this. But a little bitter 0peach mango pie - sweet and crunchy Aloha yum burger - the patties are fat and I loved the sweet pineapple with the fatty/salty bacon Glad I tried it, but probably wouldn't go back due to the wait. Highly recommend calling ahead read more

The Touhy branch is under renovation and construction, so we decided to come here. We ordered via Jollibee app. We ordered Spaghetti Family pack and Palabok Fiesta. When we got home, we got the Palabok Family pack and Palabok Fiesta. Confused, i look at the receipt and yes, we ordered Spaghetti but they gave us Palabok Family pack instead. What a waste of money $15.99 (Spaghetti). We will no longer be going to this branch. read more

Quality fast food at a good price. I got the spicy Chickenjoy with rice and really liked it. The chicken was a bit greasy but that didn't bother me too much. The seasoned skin is where it's at, but it would've been even better if the skin didn't fall off the meat so easily. The C1 combo I ordered comes with 2 pieces of chicken, a drink (either soda or pineapple juice), a side, and gravy (which I didn't end up using much of). I've come here before and ordered the chicken and spaghetti combo but wasn't a fan on account of the spaghetti sauce being sweet (I won't hold that against them though because that's the Filipino way as I understand it). The restaurant has a solid amount of seating but could be cleaner. The location is a bit on the outskirts of the city, but it's obviously perfect if you're shopping for Asian goodies at Seafood City. :D read more

Wished they were serving breakfast meals ;-( there was no corned beef, longannisa or tocino. No soft served sundae either. There's still a line for people showing up for lunch or dinner. Limited choices but the spaghetti and chicken joy is still the best meal combo I've ever have! Great location...inside Seafood City and next to Red Ribbon Bakeshop. read more

I'm giving it a four just because I don't want to be biased just because it takes a long time for them to serve the orders, like 20 minutes at minimum. This is a Filipino fast-food chain and as an Asian myself, the taste is impeccable! If you want to try the best they have, I suggest the sweet spaghetti, pancit palabok and (spicy) chicken joy. They have pineapple juice there too, I always upgrade it for an extra fee. Sorry, no food pictures because we were excited to eat and we finished our meals to quick. read more

Jollibee. The oh so famous Filipino fast food chain serving just about everything from sweet spaghetti to fried chicken to Filipino breakfast in the AM to burgersteaks to sweets to shakes and palabok (traditional Filipino pancit). While it may not be as good as mom's cooking, for fast food... it's not bad and it's fast and cheap. This one's located within the Seafood City and can be accessed from the parking lot. My fiancee kept bugging me to stop by here to grab something while we were shopping for groceries in Seafood City since she has seen and heard all about it via Buzzfeed. While for her, our two piece chicken joy with a side of gravy and fries were a "dream come true" for me it was just business per usual. I think my first experience at a young age was ordering a burger to only find the patty was made of meatloaf (FYI when I was younger, I hated meatloaf). Thus growing up I didn't care much for Jollibee. However, several trips back to the Philippines growing up and having my cousins take me and show me the ropes, I can say that the chicken joy is where it's at. I always prefer a side of rice with my chicken joy to smoother everything with that side of gravy. Anyways, not sure I got much else for ya on this one, but if you've never had Jollibee you gotta try at least once either the fried chicken or spaghetti. 'Til next time, cheers! 256/365 read more

Jollibee - Two piece chicken joy with fries - Fast Food Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Best spicy chicken ever. It's actually spicy not just marketed to be spicy but isn't like Popeyes. Wish I had some closer to home, I'm south of Chicago. Very good food, I enjoyed my first time here. read more

The chicken tenders look and taste almost exactly like Popeye's chicken tenders. They have their own sauce (shown on the left) but it taste more like a salisbury steak sauce to me and didn't really complement the tenders much. I feel like the sauce was much more appropriately made for beef. The sauce hid all the crunchy taste of the tenders and overpowered the juiciness of the chicken since the tenders were very thin (just like Popeye's tenders, also shown). As I said, think Popeyes chicken strips..... that's what they taste like. just as thin (as shown in the 2nd and 3rd photo) and the breading taste just the same. The fires, also included in the box they give you (even for dine-in orders) wasn't bad but both, combined, didn't really fill me up. They are definitely known for their buckets of chicken, but also with a try if you are around either of their area locations. read more

I thought this place deserved better rating but after getting it a few times I'm updating my review lol while the food is good at times it's a bit inconsistent. Sometimes you get crunchy chicken sometimes you get soggy chicken. They only serve dark meat so if you prefer to eat a leaner piece you missout on that option. Their ordering system could also be improved. They use Doordash but they are not on doordash. So when things go wrong with dashers customer can't contact doordash about it. They also don't have any manager on the floor and the employees would ask you to call back later when things go wrong but never pick up the phone after. It's extremely unprofessional. I get it's busy but that's no excuse for a place that should be systematic. One thing I am impressed is that they used pasta sauce for the pasta instead of using ketchup which most asian countries do. Tho it's really sweet, and the cheese is like a garnish you can't taste lol Not sure if it's the dasher or they dropped it before packing it, but the pasta was all over the bag contaminating all the sauces I paid for and the chicken. They forgot to put my sides in, and the fries I paid for only had 2 pieces in it LOL it's packed in a brown bag not sure if it's intentional to hide the fact there's only 2. I have tried their adobo rice once and it's really aromatic, same with their mashed potatos, just wish I had gotten mine. I don't think they deserve a 1-2 star rating based on the food but customer service doesn't exist, at least not for this location. So fingers crossed, if nothing goes wrong then it's 5 star experience but if you ever have to call in when something goes wrong, expect to just take it because they won't do anything about it lol When I contacted doordash, even they couldn't even get a hold of anyone at the Jollibee. read more

It seems like after reading all the reviews, the people who really appreciate this place are true Filipinos. Yes, I get the nostalgic aspect, but I keep coming back because of 2 things: the peach mango pie, and the crispylicious, juicylicious chicken. The mango pie is hot, fresh, flaky, and sweet. Melts in your mouth as soon as you take a bite. The chicken is seasoned well, and so crispy yet tender on the inside. It goes well with a side of rice. Make sure you pour the gravy on the rice and chicken to get the full Filipino effect. The palabok is also good. For those that don't know, its thin glass noodles with a type of sauce that contains sauteed shrimp, boiled egg, and other stuff. Just try it! Last but not least, you have to try the pearl coolers. Both the ube and buko pandan will refresh you on a hot summer day. read more

I bought the Palabak family bucket C. The palabok is dry not enough sauce. When I complained they told me to pay for extra sauce. They gave me 2 oz of sauce and charge me $2.87 When I complained the manager said they couldn't do anything because that is the standard. So they have a low standard! They are ripping off the customers. The price is outrageous. I'll buy my palabok somewhere else. The cashier who is a female is also rude. read more

I know other reviews are kind of negative but our experience was great. The staff was very friendly. Sure, they are maybe a little stronger with their greetings in Manila, but still we were nicely greeted by every employee. The ordering process went smoothly and the lady who took my order was very helpful with my questions about bundling. We just beat the lunch crowd so didn't have a long line. It did take maybe 10 minutes for our food, but since they gave us a table pager that was no problem. We got some normal chicken and some spicy. The normal (not spicy) chicken was steaming hot and super fresh. The spicy chicken was barely warm and almost seemed reheated, which was disappointing. The fries could have been fresher too. The mashed potatoes and gravy were nice and hot. We also got a pineapple float and buko pandan tapioca pearl drink. The float was my favorite. The buko pandan drink just didn't quite hit the spot for me, but I don't think there was anything wrong with it, it just seemed a little too savory for me. Their bathroom could use a little help bit still tolerable. I think the "flushing" issue is probably more of an issue for the building owners. read more

Absolutely enjoyed the chicken and spaghetti combo! Would definitely come back. I asked for spicy and got original but that's okay I still devoured it. Spaghetti maybe a little sweet for some people but I loved it. read more

Jollibee - Fast Food Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Chicken is great! Place is clean and servers are polite and attentive. Place is bussling with people and yet the wait was not long.

I really wanted to like this place. I really tried to give this place a fair try, but it just came up short. I thought the chicken joy was good the last time that I came. I tried the chicken joy for a second time, and it lacked flavor and it was not properly cleaned. The chicken itself had so much fat that it was impossible to eat the chicken. This place gets a 1 star because the employees seem to be happy and pleasant, but they move at a turtle's pace. It's always so bright and clean (at least during my 2 visits). This time I spent $6 on chicken and fries, and that price was not bad at all, but I would've faired better at Popeyes for the 2 piece Tuesday special. I decided to stop here for lunch, and I'm not satisfied at all. This time around I was in the area, and thought I'd come by for 1 more try. What a fail..... read more

Poor service, ordered online and hundred people are waiting in a mad rush. No one's calling names for orders!

Best friend chicken and other food! Reminds me of my hometown as a young student eating . Friendly people in the counter.

Jollibee is located inside the Seafood City market. Very spacious restaurant and clean. This is my second time eating at Jollibee and I loved it! I thought their chicken was really juicy. I ordered their 3 piece chickenjoy and 2 sides. If you're like me and don't enjoy soda, there's an option for pineapple juice. I got their mashed potatoes and gravy. These sides did NOT disappoint! Also, fried chicken dipped in gravy is one of the greatest ideas ever!! read more

Jollibee - 3 pieces of chickenjoy and fries. Mashed potatoes, gravy, and pineapple juice! - Fast Food Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Pros: Friendly staff. Super clean dining room. Food was very hot and fresh. Good fried chicken Cons: Anything other than the fried chicken isn't that good-especially the sides. I had the C1 2 piece fried chicken...the chicken was excellent and super hot. I upsized and had the Adobe rice ( very bland). Partner had the chicken sandwich deluxe...it was just ok and the sauce on it was awful. Fries were standard and not great. Probably wouldn't come back but the fried chicken was delicious. read more

I've been wanting to try Jollibee for so long!! Finally I'm in a place that has one. Well, that excitement was short lived. It looks so much better than it actually is. I'm confused on how it got so much hype. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't mind blowing. The hot dog is a cheap hotdog with sauce and cheese, everything on it including the bun tasted kind of fake. The chicken was another just ok item. Even for fast food chicken. The best thing was the palabok, but even that I wouldn't go out of my way to get. Overall, it's just another fast food joint, nothing that special. read more

Jollibee - Wtf - Fast Food Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

-My girlfriend has been anticipating going to this place being that she is familiar with it from her home town in the Philippines. Upon arriving in Chicago for the holiday, we made it a point to locate one and drove straight to it! Supposedly, It's known for its special spaghetti called "Palabok Fiesta". - a thin glass-like noodle with a special sauce, chopped pork, shrimp, and boiled egg. One would think that it's spicy but was very mild. A decent flavor but nothing special. You can order it with select pieces of fried chicken (1-3 pieces). The fried chicken was REALLY good!! Comes with a gravy dipping sauce. -Located in Albany City, within a shopping plaza, it's a great spot to grab some food before grocery shopping. There's also a bakery shop connected to it with some unique buns & sponge cakes. read more

This is perfection in the chicken business. It puts other places to shame, it was an amazing experience. The lady that served was so kind and helped get an order that fit my needs, she even gave me extra food and was very helpful. And then the food was just great. Try the mango pies, just trust me. I'm gonna miss Chicago, mainly for Jollibee. read more

I ordered a food on June 26, the delivery was cancel by itself, i called the store and she said the money will return 10-15 business day. But nothing happend. So, i called the store again and talk to the superviser, she said she cannot void it, i need to call Olo (The online ordering platform company) she said the company just online platform nothing else she can do with the void need to call the Jolibee directly. And i called the store again, she don't answer me, i think she blocked my number. If the Manager saw this please refund my money!!! read more

This was a first time visit. The restaurant is closed for dine-in eating (would have been a good idea to have signs saying so). The bathrooms are closed (unfortunately, I had to go...) because of Covid. The chicken was tasty, I had the 2-piece meal with french fries. They gave me gravy with the chicken which added an interesting touch. They were down to 2 drink choices (bottled water or a pineapple drink). They were out of the spicy chicken also. I enjoyed what I was able to try out. Manager needs to stay on top of supplies... Previously tried a scheduled DoorDash order but that was cancelled. I just placed the same order again but for immediate delivery and that worked well and everything was correct. Staff even threw in a little toy (maybe because the first order was cancelled). For me, Jollibee is worth the wait. The food was spot on. We had the chicken and spaghetti combo and the mango pie. read more

This review is strictly about the new chicken sandwich that came out. I was excited to see Jolibee create a sandwich to compete with all the chicken sandwiches out there. I got the spicy sandwich, and boy was I glad to pick that one. Only because the spicy sandwich was sadly underwhelming. The only thing good about it was the spice....that came from the jalepeno pieces under the chicken. The chicken itself had no flavor- just breading taste. The bun was small and soft. Ill stick with the chicken joy and gravy! read more

I love their rice and their chicken. read more

I love their chicken... I really do. I FINALLY talked my buddy into trying them today. We waited 30 minutes in line to order. Then, after ordering the cashier said it would be another 30 minutes... I was already in too deep, so I said fine. After about 20 minutes our food was ready. My chicken and fries we're piping hot. My buddy's chicken tenders were COLD AF. Like they were cooked an hour before and put in a refrigerator. I went back up to the counter to get them replaced. The replacements were just as cold. To make it worse, it's not "real" chicken... it's that reconstituted crap you get at Jewel or something. So disappointing... had MY order not been hot I'd be giving them 1 star. read more

This was my first time ever trying this restaurant. The first thing I noticed is they are very busy, but the customer service is great and they prepare your food quickly. There is a huge parking lot that you can park in, and there's also a seafood city next-door and a big bakery. I ordered two pieces of chicken, pineapple drink, spaghetti and peach mango pie. Everything was about $12. The peach mango pie was very good, had a lot of fruit in it, I also enjoyed the pineapple drink it was delicious. The fried chicken was pretty good, but it did not taste that much different than regular fried chicken to me. I loved the spaghetti. It has a sweet taste to it, and has a lot of flavor and it was delicious. They give you big portions so you are definitely full afterwards. I will definitely be back! read more

I should've been writing yelp reviews since the Chicago location (inside Seafood City) opened up since last year. There's 2 locations of Jollibee, the other location is in Skokie. Once you order your food, the cashier gives you a device that blinks when the food is ready to pick up. This Chicago location has seating area inside the restaurant and a self serve soda machine. With a combo meal, you have the option to have a soda drink (free refills) or pineapple drink. There's a main seating area if it gets overcrowded as well. Jollibees is the number one fast food chain over mcdonalds in thr Philippines. The food mascot is a bumblebee. The most bought food are the chicken and Filipino spaghetti (tomato sauce with hotdogs). However, I prefer my cousin's homemade Filipino spaghetti (she puts condensed milk and chunks of cubed melted cheese) over Jolibee's. The menu also includes siopao (warm sticky bun with inside meat filling), burgers (Overpriced for my taste; buns are stale. If I do have a craving, I usually get the one with pineapple ring.), bubble teas (milkshake with black tapioca balls), and mango individual pie. If you have a sweet tooth and want to try something new, Must try the mango pie. What I am disappointed is that you can't buy the kids toy from the kids meal separate. I've wanted to try Jollibee for Forever!!! I was so excited to finally try. Would I come back? Maybe. For fast food, the prices seemed a little steep. $6 2 piece chicken meal. Since I'm from the south, Jollibee is definitely a novelty for me when visiting the west coast and Chicago and even the Philippines. Definitely brings back some childhood memories, but where else can you get crispy fried chicken alongside some spaghetti? Exactly. Yes... it's supposed to be "fast" food, but I think the demand for it as well as the limited locations in the US makes it pretty hit or miss. I think the best thing to do is avoid the busy weekends and try to go on an off meal time rush. We did do some grocery shopping at Seafood City (on a Sunday) so the place was slammed. The line actually went out to the entrance, but we were patient and it was worth the wait. We ordered take-out. The bucket of chicken, all the sides, and the mango peach pies made it home and was an enjoyable meal for all. read more

After 4-5 visits I've come to the conclusion it's not just been bad luck, the service really is abysmal! Tonight was the worst. I waited 15 minutes - yes that's fifteen minutes! - for a three piece chicken. Not exaggerating. After 10 minutes I walked up to the counter but was ignored for another 5, until they finally served my food. Horrible! Let's face it: the food is not high quality. The extreme amount of salt on the crispy chicken skin does make that part of it delicious. But the meat itself is rubbery and kind of gross. I've tried the spaghetti and palabak (sp?). I'm obviously no expert on how it should taste, but I can't believe even Filipinos come here because of the food. So why come here at all? Simple: it's fun! And it really is. Why is it fun? You tell me. But if I dare to come back, and my guess is that I will, it will be for the fun.. and, ok, maybe a little bit for the salty spicy chicken joy skin. :) read more

Jollibee - Fast Food Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

So Chicago has been blessed with a Jollibee huh?? Although it seems like the locals are a bit ungrateful of the fact, but what can you do? Its here, and its going to be here for a really long time. I came to order 4 yumburgers and 4 peach mango pie. This is a pasalubong (gift) to my sister in Detroit. Since we don't have a Jollibee in Detroit, I take the opportunity of buying my loved ones the things that bring back memories of the motherland. Even though there was a bit of a wait for the burgers and pies, I really didn't mind at all. Most people aren't here to clock the crews reaction time. Nor do I act all snooty like I know how to tell meal service crew how to do their jobs. I'm here to order, get my jollibee item and leave. Its a nostalgic place for anybody who grew up in the mother land. Its a place where when we were kids, we were excited to go to. So no matter how snooty others review this place, people will still come because they don't care. Its a Jollibee,, its all that matters. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day! read more
