This was my first time trying Jollibee and we stopped by the Bloomingdale location while we were in the area. We didn't call ahead and just walked in to place our order. The staff was friendly and welcoming which made a good first impression. We kept it simple and ordered half regular, half spicy chicken with a side of their savory gravy. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time especially since we arrived before the dinner rush and the restaurant wasn't too busy. Everything was hot and prepared as expected. I was a little concerned by all the people saying service was slow but my mobile pickup order was ready within a few minutes of the predicted time so I have no complaints there. I sent my husband inside to grab the food and according to him it was chaotic and messy in there. He did not care for the vibe. The fried chicken was bland, plus all dark meat in the two-piece combo, so I won't be getting that again. It came with a side of gravy which is ok if you like gravy (I usually do not and didn't like this one either). Fries are nothing special. The chicken sandwich is really lacking in seasoning and they skimped on the mayo. Popeye's does it better and for cheaper too. Their angus cheeseburger reminds me very much of a Wendy's burger, although the patty is thicker here. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for the burger, but it's a solid option if ordering other food. The star of the show was the Jolly spaghetti. What a unique flavor from the sweetness of the sauce to the cheese and hot dog pieces! I wish there had been just a little more cheese, however. Also, it only tastes good when hot and starts to lose its luster when it cools down. I do like that they serve fountain Pepsi since it's pretty hard to come by these days other than at Taco Bell (and it's less watered down than Taco Bell's version). I have been wanting to try Jollibee for a hot minute. I'd read about how it's a unique experience born in the Philippines and mashed up American and Filipino flavors. I got a 3-piece fried chicken with two sides. I got the regular fried chicken, not the spicy. The wait time was about ten minutes. The seating area is VERY limited and full so I changed it to a to-go order and ate it in the car. The chicken was very standard. I didn't get any unique flavors. Perhaps the spicy chicken is the unique version. The breading was nice and crispy. The mashed potatoes were just like KFC. Nondescript. The spaghetti side, however, was truly unique. A smoky sauce, hot dog pieces, and shredded cheddar on top of pasta. It was pretty tasty and definitely unique. If I go back, I'll try the spicy chicken. Well, to say I was disappointed is probably an understatement. I typically give positive reviews and give places the benefit of the doubt, but I think I need to provide a clear review so people will know what to expect. I was in town and was happy when I noticed Jollibee was near my hotel. I went there for dinner and placed an order and went to get my drink. The drink station was pretty dirty. I then went to the tables and none had been cleaned, so I sat at a table with straw wrappers, dried up liquids and crumbs. While I was waiting other customers were arguing about getting a refund because their food took too long, was probably cold and the cashier was on the phone asking how to process a refund. This is foreshadowing. I actually got my food quickly, which was a pleasant surprise, but my food was not hot, more like barely warm. I ate it because I had been flying all day and this was the first chance I had to eat. To top it all off, when I went to throw my trash away, the bin was overflowing. I placed an online order for an 11am pick-up. I arrived at Jollibee at 11 am and sat near the pick-up order area... and I waited... and waited and waited. The reviews on this place did not bring me to expect much, but I still had to try it for myself. For my experience, I received a super hot, crispy, and delicious chicken meal with 2 sides. The adobo rice tastes close to what I make at home but without egg or veggies. The Mac n cheese was okay, and just luke warm and really rich. Our server forgot my peach mango pie but quickly corrected it. I'm not typically a big fan of fruit pie, but this I liked because there weren't a lot of large fruit chunks in it. I felt the servers were very friendly, fast, and working so hard, despite being the dinner rush and there being a long line for takeout. As others shared, there is very limited seating. Very Disappointing Customer Service I visited this location on Tuesday at around 3:00 PM on 12/29 and the experience was extremely unpleasant due to the cashier on duty. She had a very poor attitude, was rude, and acted like customers were an inconvenience. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and no effort to provide basic customer service. Employees like this reflect badly on the business. Someone with that level of attitude should not be working directly with customers, and management seriously needs to address this--up to and including termination. This Jolibee location is different. Unlike the other jolibees in chicago area, this one is really up to its standard serving. Example, when you go to jolibee inside seafood city and order a spicy chicken, they will give you a ''less spicy'' chicken. They only sprinkle bits of hot spice over the chicken. So when you eat it, its spice is like so so. But this one this really good. Coz the spice is really what you expect. Filipino Food I live near this Jollibee and drive by it almost every day. I really didn't know what it was. My girlfriend is from the Philippines and she told me that this is a Filipino restaurant chain. So we went together and I tried for the first time. I've eaten homemade / traditional Filipino food and I would say this doesn't seem Filipino to me...... It's basically fried chicken, but definitely better than a lot of the other fast food chicken places. I would definitely go here over KFC! So you pick how many pieces of chicken you want and there is a meal plan you can pick from with either one or two sides. The sides are similar to other places but they do have a couple options that are different. I believe they have mashed potatoes, but they also have rice. One of their sides is spaghetti, but it's very different from American spaghetti as it's pretty sweet. That is actually the way they make spaghetti in the Philippines, so that is unique to them. They have hand held pies that remind me of the apple pie at McDonald's. They even come in the same type of pocket wrapper that looks like the one from McDonald's. The difference is their pie is Peach Mango, and they have another pie called Ube pie which is filled with Ube which is purple yam. They also have soft drinks, but their staple is pineapple juice. I ordered for pickup with 45mins advance notice online. I showed up after the pickup time, and not only was the order not ready, but it took 30 minutes for the order to be ready. I get that orders are made in the order they come in and that things happen, but I saw fresh chicken come out and sit in the warmer for several minutes. I had the worse experience ever waiting for food at this location on 12/31/2025. The cashier halted taking in-store orders to service online orders, resulting in my having to wait ~1.5 hours to get my order (under the name Irene). 25 minutes of wait was experienced due to waiting for spicy chicken, as the pieces available were used-up in the online orders for people yet to arrive. It was freezing cold inside, which further made the wait more unbearable. I complained to the manager, who was difficult to finally get, and who should have been helping staff to get orders processed better. This location needs to be better staffed, prioritize in-store orders vs online, and have management backfill during rushes. I also suggest having a kiosk to help equalize in-store orders to the online orders getting priority. This was a horrible experience. Well, the word is out that Jolibee is open! My boyfriend and I went for dinner last night and were clearly the only white people here not partnered with Filipinos. (If you don't know, Jolibee is a Filipino fast food chain.) Most people were ordering enough to carry them through an apocalypse! Our humble orders of chicken sandwiches with one side each (fries for him, adobo rice for me) & a peach mango pie for dessert seemed tiny compared to all the buckets piling up at the counter. I will say I prefer the fried chicken to the sandwich but for ease of eating it was fine. The rice is very flavorful. But the best thing was the pie (there's also a coconut pineapple one...if you like Pina coladas...) Will definitely be back, hopefully when the craze calms down a bit! I received an off of $5.00 off if I used the app as a new user, but that was just bait & switch, there was no $5.00 off. The Jollibee app said my order was ready but when I walked in it was not ready & I had to wait & beg for my food for 45 minutes. The lady in the front with the long black fake eye lashes was telling everyone that walked in that the wait was over an hour and thereby encouraging them to leave without ordering. She asked me what my name was about 5 times and kept walking around slamming trays as if she was terribly under paid, stressed out & over worked. I asked her if I should not have used the Jollibee application & she refused to answer. Today Jollibee broke the record for worst service & food ever provided & I am not trying to be over dramatic. The Ambiance was a serving of depression, a side of hostility, & for dessert Jollibee served anger & resentment from its front line cashier. Horrible experience. Management really needs to step up. I won't be surprised at all if it shuts down. When I went, the place was busy and dirty. I waited in line for the bathroom for 10 minutes. An employee came out of one of the bathrooms while on FaceTime, and as she left, she locked the door in front of me. I asked if I needed to get a key to use it, and she told me it was for employees only--yet there were no signs. The doors only said all-gender restrooms. At that point, I gave up and decided to use the restroom at the next establishment. I should've just gone to Chipotle for lunch instead. Meanwhile, the other bathroom was occupied for over 30 minutes. At that point, it was obvious the person inside was doing drugs, especially since I saw him come out with a suspicious-looking bag. That made me even more upset. Customers were left waiting for just one bathroom even though there were two. The chicken sandwich and fries were room temperature (i.e., cold ), as if they were sitting and waiting for a while. The flavor was okay.
