Prompt, efficient and reasonably priced, Jolene delivers your garments back in great shape without that petrochemical sheen and potential for asphyxiation that makes this profession almost a dark art. Just stay away from this place. They could not hem a proper pair of jeans if there life depended on it. They screwed up a pair of expensive jeans about a year ago and I just let it go. Then out of convenience (they are close by) I took another pair to them. Sure enough they screwed this one up to. Btw...They could care less about any problems or concerns you might have regarding there service. Mention something wrong and they will want to charge you all over again. DONT BRING ANYTHING OF VALUE HERE!!!. I brought a coat that needed the zipper fixed-- nice long down coat with fur trim on the hood. When I first brought it in, I had detached the hood from the coat. The zipper broke again and this time I brought the coat back with the hood attached. They said they would replace the zipper and said that they could dry clean the coat as well. They never called me to let me know the progress. Albeit some time went by and when I called about picking up the coat they responded that they no longer had the coat but had donated it to " someone in Rockland" I guess they really liked that fur hood and decided to keep it!! I spoke with "Michael" who was rude and defensive and basically told me to suck it up. Will NEVER GO BACK. Horrible place read more

I have been going to Jolene Cleaners to get my pants tailored/altered for 5 years and have always experienced great customer service. There would be times where I would make a mistake on the alteration length but they would gladly fix it and redo it for me free of charge. Although their pricing isn't the cheapest, their quality and great customer service more than makes up for it. Highly recommend. read more

Brought in a garment to be cleaned. The tall, bald man behind the counter said: "It's too dirty! We can't get it clean! We're not the right cleaners for you!" RUDE and OBNOXIOUS. Don't bring anything to them to clean. They don't want to help anyone. I guess they only want to clean the clothing that is already clean. What a disgrace! And not one aspect of customer service is provided at this store. Take your business elsewhere! read more

Don't bother trying to open up a dry cleaners within two miles of this place. You'll never be able compete. Jolene's is a full service dry cleaner, tailor, laundry-by-the-pound, storage and clothing repair shop. It is large, fully equipped, and fully staffed. When you drop off your cleaning for same day service, you'll get it the same day. They take excellent care of delicates. They do excellent work with sofa cushions, drapes, tablecloths, linens, etc. 24 hour drop-off is available. As far as dry cleaning goes, I don't think you could make a change to this place to make it better. read more

Was just picking up a couple shirts and wanted to wear one but forgot my stays at home. I asked the man who I'm assuming is the owner if he had an extra pair and he told me to take an entire pack on him. Very nice of him and something he didn't need to do. Terribly overpriced and extremely rude. Go down the street to Golden Cleaners. They do amazing work for half the price and are so, so nice! Went in for alterations (to be hemmed and taken in around the bust) and after the seamstress ripped the bow off on the front of the dress by violently yanking it down to see the fit, she informed me it would cost 120$. I told her that was more than I could afford and she got extremely defensive. I asked if maybe they could drop the price a bit, seeing as that was more than I paid for the dress. She became defensive again and kept grabbing at my arm. She yelled that the manager set the prices (and again she got very grabby with my arm) so I asked to speak with the manager. I was holding in tears because I had already been through an ordeal with this dress and just wanted it fixed. The manager came out looked at me like I was insane and then told me to get changed and go somewhere else. Couldn't help but start to cry and I've never seen people treat someone so upset with such cruelty. Only good thing was they fixed the bow...which grabby mcgrabby pulled off in the first place. Went to Golden Cleaners, explained what happened and they did the job for 85$. (They even took in the sides, which Jolene's said would cost even more to do) I still had tears in my eyes and the owner gave me a tissue, asked me if I was from the neighborhood and was just a completely pleasant person who treated me like a human being. read more

I used to go to Jolene Cleaners many years ago. Then I moved out of the area and used someone else. When I had a very beautiful linen tablecloth which needed to be laundered before Christmas I remembered they did this type of work. I brought the table cloth in on Friday, December 11, 2015. The woman behind the counter asked me my name and when I told her she said, rather nastily, you're not a customer. I felt like I needed to apologize. The tablecloth has been on the table for a year so it had yellowed and there was a small stain on it. Normally I would have soaked it in a mild detergent mixed with a little bleach. Having no time at this time of year I brought it there to save me the trouble. I thought I was taking it to an expert. The woman behind the counter told me it would cost thirty dollars and said there weren't sure about making it white again but they'll try. "they usually do pretty well with these things" is what she said. I was to pick it up on Friday, December 18, 2015, a week later. I went there today to pick it up and noticed the claim check had no price on it. First clue. Second clue was when I went to the counter the counter help look confused and told me to hang on. She went in the back and came back to the front and asked me if I needed it today. I replied I was told it would be done by today. Then she went to the back again and came up front to tell me they were still working on it. Exasperatedly I asked her what do you mean? It was supposed to be ready. She went to the back again and then the owner came to the front with the tablecloth and it was stained and yellowed and they had DRIED CLEANED it. He told me they thought about soaking it but they had to be careful because it had a tear in it - a tear that wasn't there when I brought it in. They had put a delicate white embroidered linentablecloth through a chemical cleaning process and he was wondering why it looked worse than when I brought it in. I couldn't believe it. I told him I was going to take it back, soak it the way I should have and bring it back so he could just press it. The owner then took it and threw in on the counter in front of me and said he didn't like my attitude and wouldn't do a thing. I was so shocked at the entire experience that I thought it was important that I share it with others. I will never go near the place again. I have a tablecloth that looks like it was put through a carwash, now has a tear, and the stains are more amplified because of the cleaning chemicals used. I highly recommend that anyone who goes there be prepared for the arrogance and the nastiness. Good luck. read more
