Welcome back to dry cleaning as you knew it, back when it was good -- and it still is at Alexander's, where a 5-star experience awaits. I have had 3 suits cleaned here. I'll be coming back with more items soon. All the suits were cleaned and pressed nicely and none smell like chemicals, which is a common problem with other dry cleaners. Also, I brought in one suit that needed repair. It had snagged threads in the pant leg. It's a Brooks Brothers navy suit with subtle pinstripes. I was considering giving away the suit because of the damage, but it's only 2 years old and I don't want to part with it yet. So on a lark, I brought the suit in to see if Alexander's could work some magic. And they did not disappoint. Of about 10 snags in that pant leg, all but 1 was made to disappear completely. The remaining snag was significantly reduced. I am so happy. (And I suspect that the remaining snag will only be noticeable to pets or children under 3 feet tall!) Also, when I dropped the damaged suit off for repair, they insisted on not charging me for the de-snagging, but I would not hear it and left an extra $20. You get what you pay for, and I wanted magic, so I was not about to settle for free magic. Hope that makes sense! The best dry cleaners i've ever been to! I've been countless times with personal and thrifted vintage pieces and after dropping off at Alexander's the pieces are like brand new. They really work magic being able to get out blemishes from some of the older / delicate fabric items i've brought it. Such great value and wonderful people I highly recommend! read more

I have used Alexander's service since they opened. When i worked in the city they were always flexible with pick up hours. Now that i work from home it is very convenient. I have discovered the other cleaning services they provide. I brought in outdoor cushions that were in bad shape. They did a amazing job, the cushions look like new. I got a dress altered for a black tie wedding relatively last minute, and after the initial alteration they were so lovely in helping my sister and I make additional changes, free of charge, to make the dress look even better. I have been a customer since the doors opened, and I must say that this behavior is atypical of this establishment. That being said, I must unburden myself, regardless! If you open at 8AM you need to be in at 7:30AM... On time is late, and one minute late isn't any different than being an hour late, late doesn't have any levels. Absolute hidden gem of a business. Dry cleaning is an amazing service on its own, but id like to talk about the tailoring. It is always nerve racking bringing in dresses or clothing in general of high value to any tailor as you can be afraid of them messing up/not being up to your standard. This is not the case for this place, no matter how tricky the job is as well as the construction and silhouette of the clothing, it can be accounted for and the results will have you speechless. Even restitched the logo on to one of my alterations, as the amount taken off from the garment would've ruined the logo. I would trust this place with literally any piece of clothing whether it is for tailoring, reconstruction/repairs, renewals, as well as dry cleaning. If you know about Rick Owens, you know how crazy their clothing can be-- they were able to handle the tailoring without any issues at all. Would leave a higher rating if possible. read more

AMAZING SERVICE, GREAT PRICES, AND QUALITY WORK! In terms of customer service, this place is a winner. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We have never been disappointed with their work! My husband and I are so grateful for the kindness and generosity the owners of A.Q.C. showed during an unsuspected Christening "emergency". Our son's Christening was in August and his Godmother, who had his Christening outfit, was stuck at an airport due to a flight cancellation - she was not going to make it on time to deliver the outfit and be present at church. Without a plan B and not enough time to ask around to borrow an outfit, we had honestly given up and decided to baptize our son in a white onesie. SAD, I KNOW!! My husband picked up his suit very early the morning of the Christening and casually mentioned the whole fiasco to the owners of A.Q.C. They went above and beyond to help us - THEY SAVED THE DAY! They went crazy searching for their son's Christening suit. They found it, cleaned it, and pressed it all in a time frame of two hours!!!!! Our son looked so beautiful in the outfit and nobody even noticed we were so stressed out that day :) A.Q.C. also cleaned and preserved my wedding dress. The dress had red wine stains when I dropped it off and it came back as cleaned and beautiful as it was the day I bough it. Can't say enough about the work they do and how friendly they are. Friendly customer service, staff is very attentive and warm. Had my wedding gown cleaned at Alexander's Quality Cleaners and couldn't be happier with the finished product. My Kleinfeld dress was multi layered with a 6 foot train. Looked up several places as it was important for me to make sure it was done properly due to monetary and sentimental value. Not only was my dress impeccable upon picking it up, the service included a specialized preservation box that will keep my dress in pristine condition for years to come.
