After being turned down by one tailor on Main st., I thankfully found this friendly dry cleaning business just off of Main st, and they were able to fix the length of the dress for me overnight. Not to mention they dry cleaned and pressed the dress for me. Sure it was super pricey--but, hey, I got what I was looking for and the dress was comfy enough to walk around all day and dance all night in. Next time I won't wait till the night before...

I'll be coming back with more items soon. All the suits were cleaned and pressed nicely and none smell like chemicals, which is a common problem with other dry cleaners. Also, I brought in one suit that needed repair. It had snagged threads in the pant leg. It's a Brooks Brothers navy suit with subtle pinstripes. I was considering giving away the suit because of the damage, but it's only 2 years old and I don't want to part with it yet. So on a lark, I brought the suit in to see if Alexander's could work some magic. And they did not disappoint. Of about 10 snags in that pant leg, all but 1 was made to disappear completely. The remaining snag was significantly reduced. I am so happy. (And I suspect that the remaining snag will only be noticeable to pets or children under 3 feet tall!) Also, when I dropped the damaged suit off for repair, they insisted on not charging me for the de-snagging, but I would not hear it and left an extra $20. You get what you pay for, and I wanted magic, so I was not about to settle for free magic. Hope that makes sense! Thank you, Alexander's for being a welcoming, caring, helpful local small business.

I'm subtracting a star because their dryers are not very intuitive to use and I needed help to work it, which seems ridiculous as I've never needed help operating anything in a laundromat before. I appreciate the option to be able to use my credit card to fund a laundromat card to avoid messing with quarters. They do charge a one-time $1 fee to get the card initially, but as they probably take a hit from the credit card companies that seems fair, and my former laundromat didn't even offer the option so it was quarters city only. Overall this is a nice place with parking that some other places in town don't offer, and I'm definitely going back.
