My family used Eli's grandfather, father, and now Eli in this third generation family company. The owners suffered losses in the Palisades Fire that gives them a unique insight into what needs to be done in high wildfire zones. At the same time, they've got a discerning eye and do not cut trees down just because they're burned. They cut dead trees down. Their masterful knowledge of trees has proven invaluable for the Palisades. They're efficient with brush clearance and, at the same time, make every effort to not disturb wildlife. Johnson's team of workers exude job satisfaction and have a friendly rapport with all. It's clear Johnson takes care of employees. Their prices are in line with competitors - but if ever they're higher, you'll quickly see that is because they take care of their team. You see Johnson present at every community clean up event and doing their best to support our collective rebuild. Eli and Nicole are wonderful human beings who do an incredible job with deep roots in the Palisades. I cannot recommend highly enough! read more

I'm a delivery driver and made a drop off in Brentwood hills. This team was cutting massive trees and dropping branches all over the street, passing by, they insisted I run over branches and they did not push aside these road hazards and as a result my brand new sports car with a nice paint job sustained some scratches. I called the owner who has not returned my calls. read more

Eli, Nicole and crew are professionals. We had them out to trim our trees. They diagnosed one of our trees and were able to save an arbutus strawberry that we thought was dying. They were prompt, reliable, cleaned up and reasonably priced for the work they did! read more

Eli and his crew did a great job on my trees. I had several large trees and a few smaller ones that I had been neglecting for quite a few years so it was a big job. They showed up on time, did everything I asked and then some and charged me a very reasonable fee. I would highly recommend them for anyone needing tree trimming services in Los Angeles. read more

Eli and his crew did a fantastic job. They were on time, highly professional, friendly and dealt with our unwieldy hedge significantly better than anyone we'd hired in the past. (I.e., more thorough, more aesthetically pleasing results.) Plus the $ was on par with - or better than - past companies who weren't nearly as good. I wish I'd used them before and will definitely use them next time. : ) read more

We had a great experience working with Eli and his team, it's a true family business and their care and attention to detail shows. The crew arrived early, got set up quickly and safely, and went straight to work. The clean up was also amazing, they cut and hauled everything and the yard looks unbelievable. We had a pretty big to do list - bamboo trimming and topping, thinning, a huge beautiful tree to pare back, and vines - they did it all with finesse and it looks natural and healthy. We also are getting better circulation and sunlight in the yard, which is always welcome. Thanks Eli and crew for your work and consideration! read more

We've been using Eli and his team for years. They are great! Very reliable and clearly know how to trim trees. A large team always comes with a huge truck to take the refuge. They leave the place looking pristine. True professionals. Very reasonably priced considering the high level of professionalism. read more

They are simply the best! We've used them multiple times, and they arrive when they say they will; they work quickly and efficiently; they clean up everything when they finish; and they do a great job. read more

Eli Johnson and his entire team at Johnson Tree Company are some of the best in the business. He speaks to the trees and knows what they need. My oak, sycamore and pine trees always look exquisite after they get trimmed. We hire Eli every season to look after our trees in the Canyon. He's been there for us for maintenance and emergencies. A family-owned business based in Pacific Palisades for decades, they do everything on time and with great care. read more

It was Worth the Wait! The rain finally stopped and we were able to get on Eli's calendar. He brought his team of guys to our home last Friday and spent a good part of the day trimming our Ficus and Podocarpus trees. Eli and Ernesto listened to what we wanted and went to work to make it happen. Very pleased with the result. We highly recommend Johnson Tree Company. We'll definitely have them back next year. read more

The five-man crew arrived on time as scheduled. They worked together efficiently and did a very thorough job. They were friendly and respectful of the property. They left the areas clean and free of leaves and trimmed debris. I would use Johnson Tree Co. again in the future. read more

The crew just left. My hobby in life is gardening. They trimmed a palm (not too narrow, not too high, after asking my preferences) and a eucalyptus. Beyond they, they were really professional about disposing of the debris, including sawdust, and skimming the pool instead of leaving it for "someone else, later". I don't consider myself that "easy" of a customer, but this five-star is really merited. read more

We have used Johnson Tree Company for many, many years and have always been completely satisfied. Eli always gives accurate estimates for how long it will take to do the job, and he and his crew always arrive on time. They are very knowledgeable about everything related to trees: trimming, removing, watering, fertilizing etc. The crew is also extremely friendly. We couldn't recommend them more highly! read more

Eli came out and gave me an estimate and offered same-day service (this is probably not the norm, but I think he had a cancellation). My rear-neighbor did something bad with a vine that was attached to a shared wall, so I asked Eli to come out and remove it. I also asked him to trim around the power lines so I don't have any unexpected power interruptions. He also provided me with estimates of having a front tree removed from the parkway (it's busting up the side walk) and removing a palm from the backyard (including stump). Prices are fair. Service was great (the one thing about tree service is that you can see exactly what you're getting and see exactly what kind of job they are doing). Crew seemed friendly as well. To my surprise, they were able to remove the damage that my rear-neighbor did without damaging my other young/new trees. One thing: I wish he took credit cards. I'd prefer to get a bunch of stuff done at once and just make payments on it. I can understand why he wouldn't take credit cards, though. Highly recommended. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! While they might do the trees well, they blocked our street with both trucks and tree debris for hours - infuriating neighbors. To make it worse - when asked to move their truck which was blocking people from getting in and out of their houses - the crew was yelling and catcalling the lady. She has it all on video and it was embarrassing that a company I hired did this. My neighbors are very angry with us - one even called the police. We called the company to complain but got voice mail and no person to deal with the problem in real time. UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE read more

After a horrible encounter with another tree service company, I got a recommendation from a neighbor to use Eli Johnson's services. He was prompt, professional and pleasant to work with. His crew came out to do the work and did exactly what I wanted. They removed the trees I wanted gone and cleanup was great. I will be recommending Johnson Tree Co to anyone who needs tree services. read more
