At any rate brought them to my local cobbler and he slit the top open put in a solid piece of cloth that stretched now they fit so comfortably. Hats off to a great job I'm amazed. After 1 time wearing them the sole of the boot completely fell off. It appears to have been adhered with tape. They are in worse shape now than when I brought them there. I called to see if I can get my money back. They said they have to check their cameras!! I never heard of such a thing. How does a business function like this. They look like new and were polished also. There's a Landis shoe machine in the back and patching sewing machine. The repairs are not outsourced. Decades ago there were shoe repair shops in every neighborhoods. It's a dying trade; that takes a lot of skill and talent. They have shoe products such as Meltonian polishes, laces, Barge cement, et al. for sale. They also do tailoring, as well. I can't vouch for seamstress work, but if it's as well done as the shoe repair.
