Living Waters Pool and Spa service

Let's just say mistakes were made and we experienced a lot of confusion and many delays. After about a year with little progress, I was having difficulty finding anyone trustworthy, who was willing to do the necessary revisions to complete the installation. To say I was desperate would be an understatement! Jason from Living Waters came to check things out and asked all the right questions. I could immediately tell he was an honest guy running an honest business. I was comforted by the fact that he was obviously knowledgeable about hot tubs in general. He could see that we were in a bad situation, but was willing (and able) to be creative, get his hands dirty, and do what was needed to set things right for us. Once I hired Living Waters there were no more surprises and no further delays. Jason has an extremely versatile skill set, which enabled him to address various little problems, which I would have assumed were outside of the project scope. He communicates better than any contractor I've worked with, constantly keeping me updated on progress and clearly articulating any hurdles he anticipated, while at the same time providing assurances that we were on track and on schedule. We had our first soak last night, and couldn't be happier.

Juliano's Pools - From dirt going into the pool. But GM informed me it was graded correctly

    Juliano's Pools

This is why we ended up going with them instead of other competitors. Their prices did come in higher then other pool companies but the guarantee that our pool would be up and functional by the time we left is why we went with them. The installers came out quickly to measure the pool and ordered our liner and were out within the time frame to complete the liner installation. All was good. We got all call from the office team about a pump issue and were able to get good advice on proceeding. After the installers left however they left some equipment running and our hose also running to fill up the pool. However they left while we were at work and no one called us so we did not know that we needed to stop the hose and I specifically fill level. We ended up turning off the hose when the pool was full. The installers came back and told us that we filled the pool too high and they would have to pump out gallons of water to do the final things they needed to do. When letting them know we were not informed of this and it would be a pretty costly mistake all we got was a shrug. Also the company is large which I understand but if you miss call from them and call back and get a different person in the office they generally don't know what you're talking about. All in all we are pretty happy with our service and the pool looks great but for the price we would have hoped for better communication and customer service.

We purchased our home from a family member this year who had used Juliano's for years to open and…read moreclose the pool. Naturally, we chose to stick with them for our pool opening, but the entire experience was a disaster from communication to technical execution. Scheduling was easy, and I was explicitly told I could pay by check, with a credit card kept on file strictly as a backup. On the morning of our service (which had a massive 12 PM - 7 PM window), I called at 9am to request an invoice so I could have the check ready. No one called me back. Instead, around noon--before any technician had even arrived at my house--my card was automatically charged. When I called to ask why my "backup" card was charged, it took forever to get a callback, and when I did, I received absolutely no explanation and I guess I was just paying with card. The technicians arrived, connected our salt cell, and explicitly told us the pool was "all set," the salt cell was functioning perfectly, and we should run it as a saltwater pool. This surprised us, as the previous owners had run it as a chlorine pool for the last few years, and we had already invested in chlorine tabs and test kits. It turns out Juliano's technicians have no idea what they are looking at. We checked the panel that exact evening and saw an error message. After doing our own research, we thought maybe the salinity was just low. Fourteen bags of salt later, the salinity was perfect, but the cell was still not pulling a current. It was completely dead. When we checked with our family member, they confirmed the salt cell had been broken for years--which is exactly why they switched to chlorine. Had Juliano's actually tested the equipment instead of lying and saying it worked, we would have just stuck with our original plan to run a chlorine pool. Instead, their poor advice led to us spending $1,000+ on a new salt cell and bags of salt--a massive, unexpected expense that was absolutely not in our budget this summer. To make matters worse, the confirmation email we received after the service contained photos that **were not even of our pool**. If they can't even match the right photos to the right customer account, I have zero faith that the service notes or actual work performed on our property were accurate. When I called and emailed Juliano's to remedy this, I asked them to at least come back out and install the new functioning salt cell for free to actually finish the job they started. They completely denied the request, claiming "the salt cell must have gone bad after the service." We noticed it was broken the *very same night* they left. It didn't magically break in five hours; their technicians just didn't do their jobs. They also claimed there were no notes that the salt cell wasn't working but I doubt the correct notes are on the account when the photos aren't even of our property. Juliano's is disorganized, possesses poor technical expertise, and has zero customer service. Do not trust them with your pool.
