I am late on giving this review, but back in July of 2022, Johnny came to me to replace my carrier bearing in my 2001 Tundra. I had an issue of going in reverse, and I was told that that was the problem. Johnny was the most affordable of all the mobile mechanics around, he was on time, respectful, and informative. He replaced the aforementioned component in a timely manner, and I was on my way faster than he quoted. Johnny is well worth the business, and he has a positive attitude! Johnny was AMAZING! I have never met a more honest mechanic. He explained everything he was doing and why. I needed more work and he explained why I should get it but that it could wait if i need more time. His knowledge was remarkable. I had a previous quote from another mechanic, that was close to double what Johnny's quote was. I asked him about the items the other mechanic had said I needed repaired, and Johnny walked me through each one and taught me about my car and it actually all made sense. To be clear I dont know how incline Johnny is of being a mechanic because I never recieved his services. I contacted him because I needed to get my commercial truck running and out of the residential area before I get another parking ticket or get it towed. he gave his quote and told me he would be free on Wednesday. I wanted to make sure with him the night b ed fore and agreed he would be there, and when Wednesday morning came he tells me something came up that he had to go to court to handle his parking ticket.... so I talked to him and asked him if he can reschedule at a later time and he said noon... noon passed by what a shocker he didn't even here a word from him. I ended up letting him know it's not worth me being late for work so i canceled because i didn't even know if he was on his way at all. all he could say was "sorry". I feel like a total sucker when I gave him a another shot and asked him if he was free the next day around same time (9 and 9:30)and he said has free. while I waited I was getting lectured from everyone telling me, "dont waste my time with that guy(johnny), he doesnt seem like someone that'll keep his word". I was pretty pissed at this point determined to believe that I made the right choice and gave him another chance. next day rolled up 9:20 came and I asked him, "are you going to make it today before 9:30?" and he respond, "I was about to tell you my truck is acting up unexpectedly. I figured out what is wrong with it. It just needs a cap and rotor". wtf kind of response is that? I gave this guy three chances to come by and agreed to all three times and didn't bother keeping his word. I really gave this guy a chance because of all the good reviews but I highly dont recommend wasting your time with Johnny's mobile repair. sorry dude but your a business and you have a responsibility to your customers everything thing you told me was nothing more than an excuse or you being lazy. read more
