First time here. They are very accommodating. I have a huge crack right behind my manifold. My whole muffler system is pretty old. Most places would probably say replace everything. What they're gonna do is just weld a section. And if there's an issue after that. I'm gonna come back and they're going to replace just the section. I wasn't able to get here till 3 PM. Great honest business. True story: A close friend has a weird rattling noise coming from underneath her way expensive Mercedes-Benz. Takes it to the dealership. They tell her the entire exhaust system needs to be replaced for more than $1,000. She takes that under advisement and leaves. Drives to Johnny Franklin for a second opinion. They put the car up on the lift, discover that the muffler clamps are loose. Tightened them up. Problem solved. Out the door for $78. We've been coming to Johnny Franklin Muffler for 23+ years. My four kids have lots of memories of waiting in the waiting room while we got mufflers on our vehicles. In the past two months we've had two mufflers put on our cars. One was a Christmas gift for our daughter #2's Subaru Impreza. The other was for my husband's Jeep Wrangler. Let me start by saying that I have been using Johnny Franklin's Muffler shop since I was 17. I have had many of my vehicles upgraded with custom exhaust. My extended family and there friends also use this muffler shop and have for many years and I can definitely say from experience that this shop, owner and employees are the best. I was totally disgusted by these people. I went in because they were recommended to me by my auto dealer during a tune-up, but was totally offended by them. I was there standing at the counter waiting silently while two guys behind the counter were on the computer. Of course, being ignored wasn't good but I wanted to politely wait until they were done doing whatever they were doing, but one guy turned the computer so the other guy could get a good look, and they were looking at pictures of nude women. It was way too weird that besides ignoring me, they seemed to unnecessarily make the computer screen visible to me. There is no way I will ever give them my business and I'm telling the guy at the auto dealership what happened so he doesn't continue to refer other people to them as well. read more

Blown away by the customer service! My previous mechanic moved to Austin, Texas, so when my car failed smog due to a small visible crack on the exhaust manifold in my Civic, I didn't know where to turn. Called around to a few places, and used Yelp's direct messaging feature. Got a quote to fix the crack in the exhaust manifold for $1,200 at another place. Johnny Franklin Muffler asked me to bring it in so they could provide a quote. I sat in their waiting room for less than 5 minutes, when I was told that my car was ready. I want to give a shout out to the Johnny Franklin Muffler Shop in Santa Rosa! I live in Nevada and had come to town to spend time at the family cabin in Guerneville. At some point during my drive, my tail pipe separated from my muffler and was just barely hanging by the bracket. During my stay, I asked around about where to get it repaired before going home and several people told me "Johnny Franklins". I went there and was quickly greeted by Jo the service manager and explained my situation. They immediately put my truck on the rack and came up with a plan and made the repairs. They were done in less than 30 minutes! I was very pleased with the fast service, reasonable price, and fantastic work. I was back on the road in no time with a new tail pipe and they were even able to re-use my 5" tip on the new pipe and painted it black for me. I highly recommend these folks. They have a nice little waiting area with a TV and coffee, and 5 bays with technicians getting the work done. They did not try to "upsell" me anything and just did the necessary work.
