I am. 73 yo woman with a 2007 Chevy HHR. It was making so much noise it was like being on a racetrack with a really noisy car but little power. I chose A1A because I always will go with an independent if I can. And they have great reviews so...‍ Melissa got me in the very next morning and they quickly diagnosed a need for a new flex pipe. An hour later I drove out with my car, but not my car! It was so quiet and ran so smoothly. I had power when I push down on that gas pedal! In response to the owner feedback. The service was done a couple yrs ago. I'm not going to get into detail on my vehicle however, they did not tell me the price up front just an hourly rate since he had to wrap the pipe around my chevelle's rear end and not even weld a tip. They did do a good job. Welds looked great yet I felt like they over charged me since I was not there the entire time. $900 was a rip off. I recommend getting a formal proposal/quote unlike my situation. read more

I took my 1.6 liter hatchback here a few years back and was impressed with the quality and sound . Today I picked up my Genesis 3.8 from here. The car sounds amazing ... dual exhaust with an X pipe and quad tips. Has a deep snarl down low and sounds like a supra up top .Revmatching downshifts results in lots of rough popping and snaps . This all to say that the car comes back sounding exactly how I imagined and with beautiful looking welded pipes. 10/10 would recommend ! Update: Joe is a super nice guy too, as is the whole staff. Fantastic experience all the way through! My RV lost part of the tailpipe during a roadtrip and was filling the engine compartment with nasty diesel exhaust. They snuck me in last minute (day before thanksgiving) and fabricated a perfect pipe. Literally had me on my way within 30 minutes of arriving. Super friendly, efficient and well priced. I'm giving this exhaust shop a great review. I called today on a Saturday, and the guy mentioned that weekends are appointments only. However, he still took the job the same day. I came in for a resonator delete and a portion of my exhaust system pipe re-done, because the previous shop that did some work on my car didn't do it to my satisfaction. After the job was done, I went home and lifted my car. I noticed that the welds were clean looking and the attention to detail was excellent. I think the pricing was reasonable judging by the quality of the work. The invoice says that it was Steven who did the work, so props to him. I will definitely come back again for future exhaust work. I felt that my Mercedes was treated well. read more

I had a fantastic experience here at A1A. The staff was extremely friendly and the tech showed me everything that was wrong with my exhaust system, and we discussed a few options to fix it. I chose to go with a very reasonably priced "just get it fixed and running" option for now, and I will certainly be back in a few months to replace the rest of the exhaust system. They were patient with me, took time to talk through all options, and then once we decided on the plan, they were extremely fast. I waited for maybe 30min tops while they welded on new flanges for my cat and fixed a number of terrible welds from the previous owner. I was floored at how fast they worked. I took a look at the welds when I got home and they are gorgeous - they really did quality work. I see zero reason to look anywhere else for exhaust work. I'll be back! read more

A1A was recommended to my boyfriend from a friend of our's. He brought his Ford Focus RS in for a muffler delete. My boyfriend said the man who worked on his car did an amazing job. His fear in the beginning was having them install the pipes cricket. The man took his time to perfect the work! My boyfriend loves how his car sounds now (louder than when he first purchased the vehicle). The process took two hours but they have a waiting room with a TV and adorable cats that you can pet! This place is awesome. Called around for quotes on a replacement catalytic converter on my old Corolla and this shop had the best quote so I asked them when I could schedule an appointment. The guy told me they were free all day for same day service so I was already impressed. When I arrived he asked me if I talked to his other guy about the new quote and I said no, thinking it was gonna be more expensive. Low and behold it was a hundred dollars cheaper than the original quote if I was willing to wait a couple hours for a different part to be delivered! I accepted, took an Uber home, and about 90 minutes later they called to tell me my car was ready. Great service and as long as I'm in Santa Rosa, they will always have my muffler and exhaust business. read more

This shop is my favorite muffler shop in Santa Rosa!!! I have referred many people to go see them..... they were all very happy!! One person was on a very limited budget and he installed a used muffler and accommodated her special needs! They recently put a new catalytic converter in my Tahoe.... the price was less than he quoted over the phone. Since I didn't have time to deliver the car to his shop, I set it up with my wife ,she was happy and didn't get over charged! Knowing that Gary races and manages a race car I am planning on taking my unfinished hot rod in so he can help me on the finishing touches, new exhaust, engine tune up and advice. Problem converter solved... finally. Recently A1A installed a catalytic converter on my Dodge truck. It didn't pass smog after that. :-( When I called asking for solutions, it took multiple calls and follow up on my part ,before Gary recommend a solution with another smog shop. They did take it for me, paid for it and it did finally pass. :-) I appreciate them taking care of this. It just would have been better customer service had Gary followed up with me and recommended this solution earlier. Hassle is no fun for anyone. I went in today for the first time. I was greeted promptly and my car was up on a rack being diagnosed in under 5 min. Bank 1 on my bmw shows a bad catalytic converter. There was a rattle near the rear cat. Steve explained pieces of the front cat had fallen out and worked their way to the rear. He drilled a whole in the pipe, and took twenty minutes to fish all the pieces out with a wire and vacume, and welded the hole closed. At least the rattle is gone!! All told the company spent 30min. How much? FREE!!! Now comes the part which screams integrity. I assumed the nice treatment was to get a very expensive repair job for the bad cat. Last thing Steve does is give me a written contact note of a shop which may be able to fix is as "it's more of a nuts and bolts job which we don't always do". 100% integrity, duty to care, and great service!! It simply doesn't get better than that! read more
