They removed my old 4.5' fence and installed a 6' fence with 6x6 posts, which is unusual if you look around, as I did as I was out and about around the area, I haven't seen anyone with 6x6 posts, all of them have 4x4 posts, which means that this fence is going to last a very long time in my opinion. Also, the cap and rails on the top of the fence are beefier than most of this style, (2x6). The word I use to describe this fence when I tell my friends about it is Diesel! When the inspector came out to look at it, he walked the fence and was done in about 2 mins, with no questions as I'm sure he was impressed with the quality. if you're shopping around for a fence, make sure you talk to Spencer and the folks at Heartwood Fence. We went ahead and allowed them to continue as is.. No one from the company ever came to property at beginning or end of project. The company really needs to think about how they are running projects. However their sales tatics are for their sales reps to lie and promise you they can get things done and then pressure you into signing right on the spot to get the best offer. They then can't live up to what they say they can do. I was told they had done a number of fences in my neighborhood and assured I would have no issues with HOA getting the fence I wanted implemented and they would handle the whole process. This did not happen they got rejected by HOA and then asked me to just change my plan and do something else. I spent months trying to appeal with HOA and then when I couldn't get the project I wanted approved I asked for my deposit back. They do not want to give it back and say they have done so much administrative work and thus will not refund me. I would not go with them they have very shady sales practices and are not an honorable company like they claim to be.

The panels aren't staying together, there are several gaps, the gates sag so bad they're pulling panels out of the posts and can't be opened easily without lifting the entire gate. Accordong to my neighbor this fence wasn't installed correctly at all. Contacted this dude to come out and fix it, and got the run around, once again. Always has excuses and is either the most unhealthy dude on the planet, as hes always sick, and has the worst memory or he's just completely unprofessional, which is where I am tending to lean. Either way, he's blown me off several times and I can no longer, with good conscience, recommend him or his work. Oh yeah, and the wheels... he could have told me 6 months ago he wasn't going to do it, I could have fixed the issue myself.
