We called both the store and customer service asking about an exchange (not a refund, just an exchange for something more comfortable) and were told that all furniture sales are final and that they would happily take a return on a mattress but not on any furniture. This is an odd and illogical policy. Sharing our experience to try and warn potential customers since this policy was not mentioned by the salesperson when we purchased the sofa. We are now going to donate the sofa and buy a new bed at Raymour and Flanagan. Buyer beware.

One thing to know is that no one gets commission, so they aren't going to try to up sell you just to make another dollar. They had all the national brands too like Serta and so on. That's probably why they have have been in business for 25 years. If you are looking for a bed, I encourage you to support a local business with a great product, defiantly go here first.

My wife and I purchased a new mattress and box spring At the Greece store last Friday , May 15,…read morewith a delivery scheduled for the next day.We were told that delivery and set up were included in the price and for an extra fee , they would dispose of the old mattress and box spring. Great ! So far so good. The next day two workers showed up in a rental truck with the merchandise . When I showed them the room on the second floor , one of them spotted a small beetle on the floor and mistaking it for a bed bug said that they wouldn't complete the delivery. So off they went , leaving the new mattress and box spring on our porch and the old ones on the second floor. We closely inspected the existing mattress for any evidence of the presence any infestation and found none. It's also my understanding that if these bugs were present ,the person sleeping on the bed would have experienced bites. There has been no such thing. We had considered hiring movers to complete the work that had been promised by City Mattress but by now it had begun to rain and fearing that the new mattress might be damaged ,we dragged it indoors. Then we decided to do the moving and setup ourselves rather trying to hire movers ,causing additional expense . I'm 77 years old and my wife 76, but somehow we managed to carry the new mattress and box spring upstairs and the old ones down. Looking back, I don't think we would do that again, but at the time , it seemed that we had no choice. Well, after phone conversations and a written complaint to City Mattress's website, we've had no response. I guess the next action would be small claims court. I would say that if you're a senior and need a reliable service from a furniture company, avoid City Mattress.

We were greeted by a salesman who was knowledgeable but definitely eager to make the sale. He gave us the full run down on store layout and comfort levels and such and gave us a pillow and took us on a tour. We started on a mattress way, way out of our price range and finally landed on one close to what we could spend. The salesman was willing to wiggle a bit and got us in around our price range. The best part was that the mattress was delivered the next day. When there was a rip in one of the box springs they replaced it during the same week. While we likely could have come in at a lower price point at a local place we would have had to wait a while to get the bed. We have been sleeping on our new mattress for almost a month now and we are very pleased.
