The iced latte is delicious! I could actually taste the coffee flavor and not just the milk. And Johnny definitely leads by example when it comes to showing hospitality. I would 100% recommend. read more

What a great addition to my neighborhood!! This cute little coffee shop makes an awesome latte and has cozy little nooks for reading books and tables for working. Free internet too! I love the bar outside...that will be great in the spring fall to sit outside and enjoy your coffee. They've just opened and have a great menu of coffee, a little tea...but they are bringing in Sesa Pure teas around the August timeframe. They are also going to have pastries and desserts from Russell's bakery brought in in a week or so... YUM! On my way to work and my way home...how perfect! read more

Absolutely amazing with top notch service! We were lucky enough to have Johnny Beans in our office 2 days in a row and they made the morning! read more

A hidden gem. The iced mocha was good but the berry bar was delicious!! Nice atmosphere and plenty of room to sit and chat or work. Wasn't terribly busy or loud so I was able to hang out with friends and hear without any issues. Bonus for the 80s music low in the background. Awesome seating outside, I can't wait until it's warmer to take advantage. read more

We just moved here from Orlando, Florida and I was worried moving here because where would I get my coffee? While we're waiting for our coffee maker to arrive with the moving truck we've been trying different places, and the coffee was always lacking. But today we feel victorious! We have found our coffee spot! Johnny himself was here to greet us this morning, he sets the tone for being friendly and hospitable! Thank you! read more

Johnny Beans - The front counter at Johnny beans - Caterers Near Me - Austin, Texas

My company had Johnny Beans for a company event. I really enjoyed having coffee and smoothies at work. The Johnny Beans team was great! They were friendly and the drinks were delicious. The hazelnut latte was packed with flavor and the barista even put a leaf design on my coffee. Love it! I'm even thinking about getting them for our wedding. Great job Johnny Beans! read more

Johnny Beans - Latte with hazelnut - Caterers Near Me - Austin, Texas

They've got Tamale Addiction vegetarian and vegan tamales. Yum! I like to order a plain latte. I've now been twice intending to stay and work on my computer for a while, but both times I've ended up taking my things to go after ten minutes. The first time, I didn't feel welcomed; this time, I felt the barista was ungenuine. I haven't decided if I'll bother with a third try. If I do, I'll go with a friend to see if I have a better experience. The decor is nice and it's clear that coffee crafting is taken seriously here. It's worth checking out if you like coffee and you're in the area. read more

New to the area and looking for a great place to study with great coffee...found it!! This place is cute, calm but not "too quiet", there is plenty of room to spread out on different seating types (tables, pub tables, couches, a bar), free wifi, and the atmosphere is homey and relaxed. I hung out for about 3 hours and got some good work done, never felt pressured or irritated by my fellow cafe goers. I would have given this place 5 stars if there were a few more power outlets for my laptop...as it was I had to choose the seat closest to the power! I tried the locomotion with half the sweetener and it was delish! Add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg to any drink. I also loved my ham and cheese croissant! read more

Finally found a spot that I can work from while my car is getting worked on at Dave's Ultimate Automotive down the street. They have free wifi and a spacious cozy seating area. The staff were incredibly friendly, and they have a great selection of coffee and food items. They have gluten free pastry options made by local Russell's bakery, fresh baked in house options, or tamales that they can heat up. The fresh frittata they had was delicious. They have a unique selection of cold brewed coffee mixed drinks called motions. The locomotion was delicious and not too sweet. I will definitely be back here the next time my car is in the shop. read more

Long time coffee drinker who was recommended Johnny Beans by a local neighborhood group. To be honest, I thought it would another coffee shop that was "cute" inside but offered a low quality coffee. I was WRONG! The coffee here is truly the best I've had in Austin. I had an Americano that had a full body taste without any bitter taste. Prepared perfectly. Had a chat with the Owner and he and his Staff couldn't of been nicer. Johnny has 20+ years in the coffee industry and knows the business. Easy parking, plenty of tables inside as well as a wide selection of pastries to go along with their great coffee. Whata great find! read more

So I just discovered this place. An amazing coffeehouse, which is warm and friendly as a home can be. When I compare it to home believe me it's how you will feel there, the owner and the staff are as friendly as a good friend can be and the atmosphere of the place is crazy comfortable. I ordered an Americano which is my usual, the coffee was good and the muffin was tasty. Don't just trust my word, try it yourself. read more

This is one of the best coffee places in Austin. Excellent coffee, friendly staff, and lovely decor. I was able to adjust the sweetness of locomotion blended drink (1 pump of caramel instead of 1.5); and it turned out great. The taste of their coffee will keep bringing you back. Highly recommend this place. read more

We had Johnny Beans come to our new coworking space during our open house week, and it was such a hit! Friendly, personable service and really fantastic coffee drinks. Set up was fast and unobtrusive -- he unloaded and set up faster than I would have believed possible. Then, no matter how many people crowded around, John chatted with each of them and made suggestions on what to order and made all the drinks perfectly and efficiently. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their presence, and their coffee. I can't wait to have them back again. read more

Good coffee, the man was super nice! He asked if it was my first time here and the lady sitting at the table said I was in for a treat haha! Really inviting comfortable pleasing to the eye place with nice people! read more

Second time here, and I'm sold. I live in Wells Branch and it is very convenient to have a coffee shop in the area. However, the service and coffee are on point here, so it's got more going for it than just being the neighborhood joint. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and want to make sure you leave happy. Also a great place to get some work done. And again, the coffee is on point. read more

I adore this coffee place! I was in the area and needing a snack. Little did I know that I was walking into the small town coffee place of my dreams. Everyone knew each other and was so friendly. There were plenty of delicious baked goods (gluten-free options as well). The interior was filled with plenty of seating and room to spread out. There's even a table outside for a beautiful day. I also can't forget to mention the sweet sounds of all your favorite 80s music playing quietly in the background. I highly recommend you support this local business. It was a nice change from the Starbucks of the world. read more

Cool coffee spot. Super comfortable and not overly crowded. Till now. Had choices for the coffee lover and sparkling water lover. Plus pastries! read more

I want so badly to like this place. The staff are all super friendly, the food is great but the coffee tastes like it's dirty or dusty. It has the worst smell and taste. I don't know what is going on but I've tried it twice and ordered 4 drinks (2 house coffees, black and 2 americanos, black) and all 4 drinks have the same smell and taste. Maybe it's the water or their equipment needs to be cleaned? I hope they solve the problem though because it's very close to my house and I would love to love it. read more

Just stopped in and had a great cappuccino and delicious slice of banana bundt. I'm picky about my coffee, so was pleasantly surprised. Cheerful service, too. read more

Johnny Beans is great! Excellent coffee, with a warm inviting atmosphere, but with a very open concept feel so it doesn't feel too crowded, even it the place is packed. I wish I could give 4.75 stars, as my only issue with Johnny Beans is the hours...they close at 2:30pm on weekdays and even earlier on the weekends. Leaves me searching for another afternoon coffee haunt. In spite of that, this is definitely a place to check out! read more

Love this place! I go almost everyday. They have fantastic vegan tamales, and the employees are all so kind! Highly would recommend.

If you haven't worked with Lauren and John yet, what are you doing with your life!? I absolutely loved working with Johnny Beans on an employee appreciation event at our office. They were quick, courteous, professional, and everything they brought was delicious. I received nothing but glowing reviews from all of our employees that attended the event. Even with quite a line for coffee, John kept the line moving and flowing very quickly. Nothing but rave reviews from this happy camper. Thanks to Johnny Beans for a great experience. They have absolutely earned our respect, and we can't wait to call them for our next event. read more

I have been to this place a handful of times and enjoyed it (usually the owner was there and he's super nice and helpful). Today's experience was different. A new person (but clearly the more experienced of the two staff working this morning) helped me. I asked for a tamale and a lemonade. I asked for very little ice, and the guy told me he'd put as little as he can and that it doesn't mean I'll get more lemonade, "just so you know." I don't ask for light ice so I can get more lemonade, I ask for it because I don't like my drink too cold or for it to get watered down. But really... It's lemonade, for crying out loud, not liquid gold. He added quite a bit of ice anyway. I let it be. The microwave beeped indicating my tamale was done. The other staff person took it out, as she needed to use the microwave for another order. The person helping me continued with taking an order and making the drink for that order instead of giving me my tamale. I asked him for it, and he said it wasn't done. He then stuck a food temp thermometer in the tamale and put it back in the microwave. He didn't clean the food temp thermometer before or after using it for my tamale. The service went from amazing the first few times I've been there to me feeling pretty sure I won't be going back. Sad, because it's a cute place and the tamales are delicious. read more

Just tried this place today, it was very comfortable in feel and environment. I loved the high tables, and the couches around the lobby. I had the blended chai latte, and it was amazing. I can't wait to continue to try this great coffee spot just down the road from my house, I think I might get a lot of reading done here in the future! read more

Love this cozy coffee shop!! Let's start with the espresso. I ordered an iced almond milk latte and it was delish! The ice and the milk made it super refreshing. The espresso was smooth and bold without overwhelming the drink. The service was the best part. The owner and a barista named Nikki greeted me with smiles and warmth right when I walked in the door! Both catered to my paleo needs and provided speedy service with excellent conversation: this would be a great spot to stop in for a chat with friends or alone time to reflect and read. I will be back for sure to do both of those things. The only thing I wish they had was a line out the door as I believe this neighborhood hotspot deserves it . read more

Delicious coffee, tamales, muffins and cinnamon rolls! Friendly people in a local establishment.

The coffee is excellent, amazing, and the options are good. The blueberry muffin I had tasted like mushy dough with a few blueberries in it. I will definitely be back for coffee and will be more reticent with the baked goods. read more

Lady working was really friendly and the price was fair, at $2.25 for a small brewed coffee. It's right off the service road and is fairly easy to find within the shopping center. They've been here 7 months (as of JAN 17), so I hope they do well :-). Glad I stopped in. read more

Me and my girlfriend just moved here from a town about 50 miles south of Houston and one of our worries was finding a new coffee shop. After I went to several places for cold brew, I started to feel like I wasn't going to find a place as good as the one back home. Luckily, I found this place and it's only minutes away from where I live. Johnny Beans is by far the best coffee I have had in the Austin area. Not only is the coffee great, so is the customer service. I will definitely be going here pretty much every day for my coffee. read more

The owners and staff are super friendly, The coffee and pastry's are delicious! will defiantly keep coming back!

I left Johnny Beans about 20 minutes ago and have already told about 4 people to go there as soon as possible! Not only is the coffee (I recommend the in house cold brew) absolutely delicious, the hospitality is 2nd to none. Talking with Johnny for 30 minutes was wonderfully educational and made me realize this place takes pride in there craft. Extremely pleasant guy that made it and experience, not just a average stop for coffee handed to me by a robotic smile and on to the next in line. Make sure you stop by asap to get your hands on some of this amazing coffee! Cheers! read more
