My wife found a ring in the John Weldon Jewelers shop that she truly loved but refused to let me buy her. I worked with John over the next weeks to get the ring ordered, built, and it arrived before Christmas. I had concerns with the stone in the ring, I know nothing of these things, but to my eye the color seemed off. I shared my concerns with John, and though he certainly knew that I was mistaken he took me very seriously and made every effort to ensure that we were happy with his product. He put the original ring we saw behind the counter in the event we would like the stone from it instead, obviously limiting his opportunity to sell it during this, the holidays, a more likely time to sell it. John had no real reason to work with me. He had every right to state that the quality of the product was good and stand by it, but he offered all possible solutions to ensure we were happy. All of this for a customer over 3800 miles away, that is unlikely to ever have the opportunity to return to Dingle not matter how much they would like to. I had a local jeweler examine the ring and they confirmed everything John had shared with me, my concerns were just that of someone who knows nothing of jewelry. John Weldon Jewelers has made Dingle proud, and our reviews of his customer service to family and friends will do nothing, but encourage them to include Dingle and John Weldon Jewelers on their future trips. read more
