We popped in while wandering around Dingle and spent a few minutes inside looking through all the wool sweaters, hats and socks. Such a great selection and variety of sweaters, so many colors and patterns! In addition to the wool items, they had a small selection of other souvenirs including clothing, keychains, hats, artworks, etc... Service was welcoming and friendly. Prices seemed fair for what I have seen while in Ireland. Overall, solid little shop in Dingle!

From what I saw, the Kenmare location had more of a selection of clothing (including men's). The locations I visited in London were smaller shops located in stations, slightly cheaper, but less options available. They also have an online website you can order from, but it's more expensive to purchase online as an American. Plus, the store employee we interacted with at the time was very sweet and helpful. When I first walked in, I was immediately drawn in by the style of clothing they offered. I ended up getting getting a waterproof jacket, and can't wait to wear it when Seattle starts raining again! It's been running for a couple hundred years... the kind of mill that we all miss seeing more of. be sure to keep an eye out for the small road signs along the N72 "Ring of Kerry", it's a quick turn-off, right quick off the main route.

It's kind of confusing from the outside and peering through the window, but I promise there is a whole different world up the stairs. We scooped up the shirt and a few other souvenirs for family, then made our way back out to the streets of Killarney. However, when I went upstairs to their selection of tourist goods, I was pleasantly surprised. There was a good selection of everything green and Guinness. The price was what attracted me the most because while the items themselves are oftentimes the same from store to store, the price fluctuates. Christie's had low, if not lowest, prices for the souvenir items I was looking for like pins, shirts, and boxers. Location: (5) Located right on the corner of Main and College Streets, Christie's is right at the intersection of all tourist activity; that makes it easily accessible and easy to spot. This shop has been around for so very long. It's totally aimed at tourists, there is no reason for…read moreany local to ever go near the place as there is unlikely to be anything that you would use in there unless you're in the market for a sheep skin rug or something adorned with shamrocks. There is a real mix of what you can buy in this shop too, i mean it does not specialise in any one product, you can get jams or glass ornaments or pottery or Aran jumpers (and anything else Aran you can think of!) and any number of things that have leprechauns or Celtic designs printed on the side. One interesting thing about this shop is the old petrol pump outside the door, there is no petrol available in it and there has not been for years but it still stands there looking all lonely on the side of the road. It's just nice to imagine that at some stage in its life it was used and imagine what the cars looked like then! Anyway, hopefully its never removed, its an odd bit of history for Glengarriff.
