You're feeding folks that have been rappelling, rock climbing, paddling, hiking and fishing all day!! We needed something more nutritious and appropriate for adults!!

During our free time we were able to utilize the basketball court, obstacle course, many hiking trails, and golf course next door. The rooms were clean and well supplied. The meals that were offered at the cafeteria were excellent. We had menu items like chicken parmesan, pizza, wings, a salad bar, and rice pilaf. Breakfast featured items like blueberry pancakes, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, oat meal, hash browns, and scrambled eggs. They will cater to dietary restrictions. They offer gluten-free, vegan, and diabetic options. I am looking forward to next year's men's retreat. They already have this place booked. Score!

They have not returned calls, emails or text and have jeopardized what was suppose to be a great experience for my youth football team into a tremendous let down. I have requested that Michele Hylton contact and she still has not done nor has anyone else, despite us leaving numerous messages at the listed number and emails. As a result I am now forced to take legal action against Whispering Pines Camp.

The child's safety is taken seriously and the check in process covers important things like dietary restrictions, medications, etc. The cabins are super cute and clean. I loved the mindfulness sessions me and my cabin mates (sometimes the whole camp) would do together. The activities that I did never got me bored, whether an indoor, outdoor, active, or more chill type of activity. As I got to know my cabin mates well, I felt some of my friendships grew, and others got sparked. I felt the wake up and bedtime times were just perfect. We got a hour or two everyday to take a nap, lay down, or just chat with friends in the cabin. My favorite parts were when we came together as an age group and would compete and do activities, like at the toucanathon. My favorite part was when we did high ropes, which includes a zip line and some other in the air activities like the giants latter. I was one of the lucky ones to make it up that tower thanks to my teammate, she pushed me when I was a little scared and I like to think that I helped her get up there too. Lake Watson was a hit! Well organized I got to go kayaking and had tons of fun. I loved other activities too like rock climbing, swimming, land sports, innovations, gardening, campfire cooking, and others I may of forgotten. The meals were hardy and I never was hungry. They had water bottle refilling stations everywhere, so I never got dehydrated. My counselors were on top of everyone and everything, which helped a lot. Anyone who is looking for a summer camp to go to, camp tuku is a great option. -11 year old I got to go to High ropes, which are some obstacles in the air, and while you're there, you can go ziplining. Some other activities are kayaking at Lake Watson. I didn't know how to kayak before but learned very quickly, and that was my top favorite activity. You also attend yoga and mindfulness in the morning. The food is delicious. The cabins are all organized, and to keep that way you do these challenges which could win you Molly the mop. Wanting a safari-like experience, we came out to Out of Africa to see the animals on their 104 acre…read morewildlife preserve. Pro-tip: If you come on your birthday month, it's only $12 for admission which is substantial savings! I booked the expedition tour which included the general admission, Super Mog tour, and a chance to feed a tiger. The Super Mog tour is an hour long ride in an all terrain open-aired truck. You have to be at least 5yo and able to climb up the steps to get into the vehicle. They offer 2 times, 11AM or 2PM. Because it was June, I opted for the 11AM tour bc of the heat. Even though there was no AC, it was fully shaded and we didn't feel too hot. Our tour guide Robby was incredible and gave each of us a small stalk of willow-like leaves to feed the giraffes. We had the option to feed them from our hands or if we're brave, our mouths! We started off on the super mog tour visiting some apex predators like their mountain lion, hyena, grizzly bear and Robby would tell their stories and also do a live feeding. We also drove past their rhino, lions, zebras and much more. Then we got to feed the giraffes as they walked up to our vehicle. It definitely had more of a natural feel vs a zoo. Then we got some snacks, walked around for a little bit to see their smaller mammals (sloth, lemurs, marmoset) and reptiles. Lastly, we attended the tiger splash show. It was as adorable show watching the tigers play with their trainers using various toys, balloons, and meat. After the show, we got to feed a tiger through a special feeding tube and you can also request a picture with the lion. Out of Africa is also know for their popular predator zip lines where you have views of the animals and the Verde Valley. We didn't do this bc my kiddo is still quite young. We got the chance to run into the owner Prayeri who described how many of the animals were raised at a young age or rescued. There is a strong emphasis on the human-animal bond and trust at this park. Love that mission and much love to all the animals!

We are addicted to going there. But last night was the best - oh joy!!! A fairy tale setting for the play Merry Wives of Winslow - Shakespeare with a western twist!! The acting was excellent - wonderful dialogue and sarcasm - and the environment was absolutely superb. Highland Center coordinator and crew set up seats/tables around the discovery garden and it was enchanting as we enjoyed the pre-play time in that lovely atmosphere. We chose to also purchase the "meal" and it was yummy and delightfully packaged - from Los Gatos. We look forward to continuing to enjoy, explore and support Highland nature center - many activities for young'uns and young'uns at heart. We had the pleasure of purchasing a painting which then allowed us to meet the artist and attend an event at her house - it has introduced us to some lovely new friends and all due to the Highland Center. Met a wonderful couple last night. The Highland center is awesome - Go there and find your path to outdoor enjoyment and learning. They have some great lectures too. WOW!!!

The trail guide points out numerous topographic, geologic and historical areas. Finish up with a walk along the gardens. There are many benches along the way and also a children's play area.
