Ran over a screwdriver shank on Atlantic....stopped at Ramsey's fully expecting and ready to get bent over like a tourist. Tristen had Jeremy get after it within five minutes after pulling up.....would have been back on the road pretty quick too, but sat in the office bsn with Mr. Ramsey himself 84-1/2 years young!!....they treated us right! As a tourist I was ready to get fully bent over....but it didn't go down like that....so far from home with no ability to work on it yourself and 100% prepared to get screwed for your families happiness is the hardest part. Never in my life did I think I'd spend over $600 on an alignment. I took my '92 F-150 to Ramsey's and was initially quoted $180 for the alignment and $100 for bushings(needed for the alignment.) Already steep, but I appreciated that they seemed honest and even helped diagnose a few front-end issues, which I took care of myself before bringing the truck back. But after returning for the alignment, I was hit with a $614 bill. Their explanation? An extra $270 on top of the original quote, supposedly for the bushing installation--something that was never clearly communicated beforehand. After some going back and forth, they refunded me $20. I would have never returned to Ramsey's had I known they planned to charge me $600 for an alignment. If y'all want to make it right, I will happily delete this review. read more

they say they specialize in lowered wide vehicles. DO NOT LISTEN. i brought my 2nd gen dodge ram show truck on wides to get a manual alignment because it doesnt have full lock and cant do u turns which was disclosed. their tech MADE A U TURN and blew the tire out drove it back on my expensive wheel and dented in my cab corner ruined my fender and messed my front bumper up bad. stay away! read more

These people know front end alignments far better than any new automotive dealer, or so called tire specialist. My truck is 34 years old, bought it new. I replaced all the front end parts at 360,000 miles of dirt road residence. The Nissan dealer was totally unsucessfull in centering steering wheel when new, was either cruising with tilt one way or the other, Amel assured me they could center it prior to starting work. The alignment was perfect the first time. So, of course when I needed tires, I just had Ramsey sell and install them as I have total faith that no corners cut. My old truck now rides very similar to new, cannot find superior riding tires due to age and tire size, but at least it rides the best it can!, Dont go here if your looking for economy pricing. This place is for people like me who dont mind paying a little more for superior work. read more

My daughter got a wheel balance and alignment, 2 months later her front wheel fell off, He admitted he torqued to 90 pounds, but her trucks specks say 100, wouldn't take responsibility. had the nerve to lecture my daughter on how she should be more responsible and checked the torque herself after leaving the shop! Has anyone ever done that? their Websight says they specialize in 4WD and large tires, but his suggestion was throw away her tires and rims and only use stock. Sad, the guy could have hurt my daughter, or killed someone on the road and no remorse. read more

I took my car there because it seemed the front end had a pull to the right. They were ready for me at the appointed time. Their front end specialist checked out the issue. Rotated the front tires left to right and confirmed the "radial pull". They recommended I take the car back to where I purchased the tires and tell them the issue. I asked them what I owed them. I was referred to Ramsey's Alignment from the custom fab shop that had just completed a total front/rear suspension upgrade on my 1968 Camaro. I've owned this car for over 20 years so it is very dear to me and I can assure you that I fully research any shop that I'm contemplating doing any work on it. Mr. Ramsey was there when I dropped it off and I could tell that he genuinely cares about his customers and that he is truly top notch when it comes to anything involving your car's alignment, suspension, tires, etc. I can't say enough good things about John, Emil, or Fred ... they are all tremendous people with a wealth of automotive knowledge. I'm not super mechanical but John really broke it down into laymen terms for me. He is a real artist in his field. I can't say nicer things about my experience with John Ramsey, and John Ramsey's Alignment Service. I had just completed a front end rebuild on my 1983 Chevy El Camino, and needed an alignment. This was my first major automotive restoration project and wanted to make sure the car ran properly, as well as have a certified mechanic look over my work. I had called several other shops around town including Firestone, Meineke, Glenn's Tire, Cruising Gold, and Kendall. Being an older model, and an antique each one had things they could, and couldn't do. They were limited by their tools, and skillset to properly align the tow, and camber of a newly installed upper control arm. Also, with various prices ranges. I called John after I googled "Classic Car Alignment in Melbourne". John, the owner answered the phone. I told him about my situation, and he asked me specific questions about my installation process. He asked me about the shims from the removal, he asked me about how I greased the ball joins & tie rods, he asked me things I had overlooked, and highly likely made mistakes on. I knew given this conversation that John knew exactly how to set things straight, and even though he was the highest quote, I knew that he would take car of my vehicle the proper way that no one else I spoke to would be able to. I drove the car from Melbourne to John's place and dropped it off. I spoke with John about how I should have set the springs, and he gave me a wealth of advice on how I should approach restoring the El Camino. Sage advice from a true expert. He had the car ready to pick up in several hours as promised. I live in Orlando, so I wasn't able to pick it up in time, but they let me keep it there overnight. When I was able to make the trek back to Merritt Island, I arrived to see my car properly aligned, at the proper height just like you would in a Brochure from 1983. I looked at it with pride like watching your teenager graduate college. They fixed the spring I did not properly install and align the vehicle so perfectly you'd think it rolled off the showroom floor. Not only that, John gave me some additional great advice, and turned me on to some rust repair techniques, parts suppliers, and restoration strategy that were invaluable. I knew that an expert needed to look over my vehicle, as I did my best as a novice mechanic. I had driven back fully expecting to pay upwards of $200-$250 to correct my work, in addition to the specialty service on this antique. I was certainly surprised and delighted when the final bill came back at $119 which was lower than the quote John had initially given me. I don't write reviews, I'm not a Yelper, I'm not a complainer as well, but the service, expertise, insight, advise, and outcome John and his team gave me go way beyond my expectations, and are truly deserving of praise. We were traveling on a lng round trip around the southeast last week, when I drove onto the Kennedy Space Center property and I noticed my 1998 Toyota 4Runner sputter, and realized the alternator had died. I immediately had my family google auto parts and the closest place was John's alignment service. We had kids and a baby in the car, and were desperately worried about being stuck on the road, even with AAA platinum. We called ahead to Ramsey's and barely had enough juice to limp over there, but sat in his wonderful air conditioned waiting room while his staff tended to the alternator. They had the part in minutes and when it arrived, the bad alternator had already been removed. We were able to feed the baby use the restroom, and get on down the road with ease thanks to their friendly and dedicated staff. We also loved their stories and received quite the lesson on history, photography, medicine and precision alignment in the time we were there; and we hope to go back one day to visit (I wont ever wish for an automotive malfunction :) even if the experience was tremendous!). read more

I have been taking my car to the dealership since I purchased it until I was referred to Ramsey's alignment. My car doesn't have that strong left pull anymore. I was recommended to John Ramsey's Alignment Service by a person who works in the tire dept for a major wholesale club. They were excellent to deal with, reasonable in price and very honest. They worked with my scheduling needs and my car was tended to the moment I walked in the door and aligned in a very timely manner. The waiting room was comfortable and the people who run the business are professional and friendly. If you need your car aligned this is the place to go! They seem to have built up repeat business with the locals. Word of Mouth saying how great they are can be the best advertisement for any business.
