Dr. Derek spent a full two hours with me--actually going through each issue, testing, treating, and explaining what he was doing the whole time. He used a mix of techniques on both my muscles and joints, and what really stood out was how comfortable he made me feel. He talked to me like a real person, gave me the medical terms, and then broke them down using everyday examples so everything actually made sense. I walked in feeling tight, compressed, and honestly a little worried about how bad the pain was. I walked out feeling noticeably looser, more aligned, and incredibly relaxed. He truly has a magic touch. Highly recommend!

My knee hindered my mobility and prevented me from doing squats, jumps, and other exercises. After relating the pain to Dr. Ko, he discovered my pain stemmed from my ankle, which did not align properly after a sprain. After aligning it, he asked me to stand and I immediately felt the difference. Since then, I've have no issues with pain and can finally do squats and jumps again! (He also alleviated the pain in my neck and back in that same session.) In addition to him being an outstanding chiropractor, Dr. Ko is also very personable and considerate. He explained everything he was going to do beforehand, which made me feel very comfortable and relaxed since I knew what to expect (a very important thing, especially since it was my first time seeing a chiropractor). I just had my second appointment with him, and it was, of course, an amazing experience. I will continue visiting Dr. Ko and would highly recommend seeing him for chiropractic care!

She not either one of those. She talks and explains to you on a intelligential level without making you feel like a idiot!! She's been where we are, working the under appreciated jobs and living paycheck to paycheck. She knows that sometimes we are just trucking along and barely scraping by. And I feel as though that experience has led her to be really generous when it comes to the bill. She gave me a 10% discount on my service since I didn't have any insurance. But the nice thing as that she let me split my payment into two months without interest! Yay! Since I'm a working student, this really helped me out. I think she's the kind of person who is willing to make a compromise with you if you really need it. And that is what is so great about her!

Unfortunately, due to some internal accounting error I am now being billed for work completed over 2 years ago through medical insurance I no longer have. Was contacted today by her office. Because I had a horrible experience with a previous chiropractor in San Leandro, I was nervous…read moreabout seeing another one. My previous chiropractor messed up my upper back/neck when there was nothing wrong with it in the first place. This left me in pain for about a month before I saw Dr. Burt. After 4 sessions with Dr. Burt, he fixed my upper back/neck as well as my lower back pain from falling off a balance beam in 1997, which messed up my sacrum alignment. An incident last year reinjured my previous injury from 25 years ago. Before I couldn't stand for more than 45 minutes. This was affecting my daily life; washing dishes, vacuuming, and mopping was all too painful. Also, we had a 7-day strike about a month ago. Instead of joining my colleagues by marching around all day long, I had to sit the entire time. Because my activities were becoming severely limited, I had to do something about my pain. I'm thankful I found Dr. Burt a few weeks ago. After the 4th treatment, I went on vacation and was able to walk around all day long at Universal Studios and even did some hiking. Thank you Dr. Burt for giving me my life back! Pros: 1. Friendly, kind, and caring doctor 2. Clean office 3. He is able to accommodate my schedule with his flexible scheduling 4. He knows what he's doing 5. He manually adjusts me instead of using chiropractic tools (these) 6. The adjustments do not hurt Cons: None --------------------------------------------- Cost: Initial visit- $225 Additional visits- $100

Years of Googling and YouTube horror stories really did a number on me, so I'd been nervous and reluctant for years to even book an appointment, let alone find a good, experienced chiropractor. Then one day, out of the blue, my man says, "I made you a 5:30pm appointment with my chiropractor. I'll meet you there after work." Knowing how picky and particular he is, I figured this chiropractor had to be legit. I'm so glad I gave in. Dr.Dancy was extremely knowledgeable, has years of experience, and really took the time to work on my problem areas. The relief was immediate. He was also very gentle with my neck, which completely eased my fears. As much as I'd love to gatekeep him, that would be selfish. If you're stressed about finding the right chiropractor, look no further. Dr.Dancy is the one. Such a pleasant experience all around and I've already scheduled my next appointment. I'm really, really ticklish and don't get massages, but she was aware and with the heat treatment and the stimulation pads on my back muscles, I found that the massages really did help loosen everything up for the adjustments, which you have to be relaxed for (this is true of all adjustments, and I'm terrible at it).
