I especially enjoy the hot packs and handheld massages she provides--they feel absolutely amazing! Dr. Dyal has been treating me for the past two weeks, and he has been very helpful. My previous chiropractor messed up my upper back/neck when there was nothing wrong with it in the first place. This left me in pain for about a month before I saw Dr. Burt. After 4 sessions with Dr. Burt, he fixed my upper back/neck as well as my lower back pain from falling off a balance beam in 1997, which messed up my sacrum alignment. An incident last year reinjured my previous injury from 25 years ago. Before I couldn't stand for more than 45 minutes. This was affecting my daily life; washing dishes, vacuuming, and mopping was all too painful. Also, we had a 7-day strike about a month ago. Instead of joining my colleagues by marching around all day long, I had to sit the entire time. Because my activities were becoming severely limited, I had to do something about my pain. I'm thankful I found Dr. Burt a few weeks ago. After the 4th treatment, I went on vacation and was able to walk around all day long at Universal Studios and even did some hiking. When my treatment about to be done, they requested a deposit from me to in case my insurance pays me directed. I am okay with that. Then after i finish my treatment, they sent the bill to the insurance, my insurance paid them directly so i called them to get back my deposit, they said the insurance does not cover the whole bill (they did not provide me the amount they received). So my initial deposit is gone. I asked them to contact my insurance to request for reconsideration but they said that it's on my side to talk to them, and they sent me the deposit receipt to send to my insurance to request the reimburse.

Dr. Derek spent a full two hours with me--actually going through each issue, testing, treating, and explaining what he was doing the whole time. He used a mix of techniques on both my muscles and joints, and what really stood out was how comfortable he made me feel. He talked to me like a real person, gave me the medical terms, and then broke them down using everyday examples so everything actually made sense. My knee hindered my mobility and prevented me from doing squats, jumps, and other exercises. After relating the pain to Dr. Ko, he discovered my pain stemmed from my ankle, which did not align properly after a sprain. After aligning it, he asked me to stand and I immediately felt the difference. Since then, I've have no issues with pain and can finally do squats and jumps again! (He also alleviated the pain in my neck and back in that same session.) In addition to him being an outstanding chiropractor, Dr. Ko is also very personable and considerate. He explained everything he was going to do beforehand, which made me feel very comfortable and relaxed since I knew what to expect (a very important thing, especially since it was my first time seeing a chiropractor).
