The entire team there is so friendly and committed to their work - you can clearly see it in their great attitudes. Kevin was my primary Physio and Julio and Kevin aided him very nicely. I also had a few sessions with France - and she's super! France has a knack to uncover root causes and how to overcome them. Kevin and France set me up with a a good set of exercises and routines that got my achy shoulder back into shape. The surgeon who recommended PT for me was amazed at the rapid improvement in just a couple of months of PT and told me that I no longer needed the surgery that would otherwise be needed. So a huge THANKS to France, the Kevins, Julio and a couple others whose names I didnt catch. Maria from the front desk made making appointments so easy - including via text - and did a great job of reminding me of upcoming sessions. Highly recommend this team for any physio needs!

My wife has ME/CFS, and having a lymphedema specialist and physical therapist has been one of the most beneficial parts of her treatment. Kristiane is caring, knowlegeable and always helpful. I wish I could find physical therapists like Dr Kristiane everywhere. The office is welcoming, and Mia is always friendly to work with. They don't treat patients but sit around all day and write paragraphs to customer Yelp reviews. IT HAS NOT BEEN 6 WEEKS, LIAR SECRETARY! I was lucky I could see a doctor on the day I stopped in (I was told that they don't accept appointments, you have to walk in), because I did overhear several patients who were told to return the next day. So much for urgent care. If your schedule is flexible, bring something with you to pass the time, like a book to read. I ended up spending hours here. 11:30am: Walked in and gave my info. They also gave me a face mask because I couldn't stop coughing. I'm glad they had a spare to give to me. 1:30pm: Took about 2 hours before a nurse finally ran a flu and covid test on me. 3:00pm: FINALLY saw a doctor. She was very nice, and gave me prescriptions to pick up at my pharmacy later. 3:19pm: Dismissed and good to go, and given a doctor's note to excuse me from work. It's located close to the Kaiser Hospital near Marina Blvd. For clarity, this urgent center is not a Kaiser center, in case if there's confusion.

I arrived at 9:50 to check in and the lady had to take my pre-employement physical authorization code back to her manager to ask if they could do the physical today. BUT WHY WOULD YOU SCHEDULE SOMEONE FOR AN APPOINTMENT, if you were not sure if you had the time to do a physical for a employer? Why even contract out if you're too busy to do physicals in the first place? She came back and said they could do the physical today. She said it was a 2-3 hour wait. I asked her about my appointment, and she said it doesn't matter. So if you're doing a pre-employment physical, an appointment won't matter. I asked if I could leave for an hour and come back, and she said no since I also needed to do a drug test for my job. I sat in the waiting room and waited. Surely they'll go in order of whoever arrived first, but nope. Physicals are the lowest priority, so you'll sit there while everyone else gets called back. Including people who arrived hours after you. Bring snacks and something to do. They have a water dispenser and a Keurig with no pods or coffee cups.

I made a few calls to PT offices where no one picked up or they informed me the next appointment would be over a month from now. I needed a visit as soon as I could. I called Ascend PT and Gina immediately picked up, listened to my situation and quickly booked me in to be seen within a few days. Gina is very professional and personable. She made me feel very comfortable right away and gave top quality care. I felt immediate relief after she worked on my neck and gave me exercises to work on. At this point, I have seen so many physical therapists throughout my life and Gina is quite competent. Substantial progress was made each visit and I would leave visits feeling refreshed and pain free. Meanwhile, at other places, I would be in pain for several months before seeing any progress. After seeing Gina for a month and a half, I was 90% recovered and after three months, I feel so refreshed and able to do all my regular exercise routines and activities. I was dealing with a whiplash injury that left me constantly dizzy, unable to function normally, and struggling with sleep. It was significantly impacting my daily life. After about two months of working with Gina, I've made substantial progress. I'm finally having good days again, which at one point felt out of reach. She has a deep understanding of the body and knows exactly which muscles to target to drive real improvement. What sets her apart is how she integrates her physical therapy expertise with Pilates--something traditional PT often lacks by not addressing the body as a whole. Gina's approach is truly unique and highly effective. I'm very grateful for her help. Her office is organized and perfect for Pilates training.
