Ultimately,…read moreDr. Huang had checked any potential ENT concerns related to migraine causes and prescribed me some nasal sprays. Over time, luckily they went away. From the visit, I also learned about my deviated septum, which is why I had issues breathing from my nostril growing up and up until surgery! I saw Dr. Huang at the end of 2025 to get a consult for nasal surgery. He recommended a Septoplasty and Reduction of bilateral inferior turbinates. Dr. Huang's bedside manner is one of the best I've encountered in the Sutter network. He is patient and responds to each question with confidence. What sold me was his confidence in this "easier" procedure since I had worries of potential side effects or complications post surgery. Of course, each surgery and how a patient responds and recovers is different, but Dr. Huang reassured that I would likely receive benefits, and not any digressions with my current state. That was enough for me, since I would do anything to get it any % better. I got the septoplasty in early 2026. Operation day was smooth and staff was friendly throughout. Post op and follow up care was good. Recovery is a bit of a pain with the splints and nasal drainage daily, but after a few months now, it is great to be able to fully breathe through my nose! Wish I had done the procedure earlier. Sleep has been a lot better and I can now smell new colors c: Thank you Dr. Huang and the rest of the team!

Before the exam was even done, he suggested most of my symptoms couldn't be explained medically and that I should simply stop paying attention to them. He said "I'm not saying it's in your head," but the message felt the same. Even so, he continued to imply that my symptoms might be imagined. He repeatedly pointed out that I had "seen so many doctors" and asked whether any of them had found anything, even though those earlier visits were years ago and for unrelated issues. At one point he kept asking "What do you want me to do?" in a way that felt confrontational rather than curious. Doctors should recognize that every specialty has its limits. The fact that a patient hasn't been diagnosed with anything within one doctor's area of expertise does not mean the patient has nothing wrong. A confrontational approach like this only makes patients doubt themselves (Am I really sick? Is it all in my head?) and may cause them to miss the treatment they actually need. His advice was that I should ignore these symptoms as much as possible and get back to normal life. But if a patient had no problems and felt completely fine, we wouldn't spend so much time, waiting, and money to see a specialist. Everything we do is to improve our quality of life and feel a little better. My primary care doctor had listed several specific possibilities to evaluate, and they weren't addressed. In the end, he briefly told me I have rhinitis, and said that most of the symptoms I described were purely subjective and that he couldn't explain them. He gave me medication but no education about rhinitis itself. This was the first time I learned I had rhinitis and it was completely new to me, yet he was unwilling to explain much. I wonder whether he treats all patients with milder conditions this way. If we have a condition that the textbook says isn't serious, does that mean we don't deserve to be taken seriously or have it discussed with us? He didn't seem to understand the major impact rhinitis has had on my exercise and sleep. A doctor should have at least basic empathy in order to truly understand a patient's situation. To be fair, the exam itself was done carefully and he prescribed a nasal spray. But I left feeling unheard and judged rather than helped. Patients with symptoms that are hard to pin down deserve curiosity and respect, not skepticism from the start. In the exam room, the patient is already the more vulnerable one. A doctor may have seen patients with the same symptoms thousands of times, but the patient may know nothing about their condition. By the last half of the visit, all I wanted was to get out of there as fast as I could. This was truly the worst and most disappointing medical experience I have ever had. I would not return and would look for a different ENT.

He removed a benign nodule from my vocal cord 12 years ago and saved my voice. He did an amazing job on my surgery. Today I saw him for my routine ear wax removal. I get wax buildup in my ears that can impair my hearing. He cleaned both my ears and I can hear so much better. He has excellent bedside manners. He is always punctual. I have never had to wait for my appointment. As soon as I check in, I am immediately called back to see him. His office staff are extremely nice and professional. It's always a pleasure seeing him at my annual visits.

His years of experience show through his professionalism and thoroughness. He is very detail oriented and wants to get everything as close to perfect as possible - internally and cosmetically (I loved that). For both pre and post opp appointments he always explained things in great detail so I could understand exactly what was happening. The assistant staff was great as well and always quickly addressed any concerns I had over the few months of recovery. This is a courteous and reliable staff. All in all, I have been to 4 ENT specialists so far and none come close to comparison with Dr. Fann. He really is top notch as both a doctor and surgeon. I couldn't be more happy with the results!

I'm a 36 y.o. female. My worsened/more acute hearing loss issues spanned about two years by the…read moretime that I got surgery, and a year and a half before I met Dr. Kiringoda. It was a really hard time. I had a couple of other ENTs unsure of the root cause, with imaging showing no issues, etc. Those ENTs mostly pushed for keeping my newly acquired hearing aids and not pursuing surgery to better my hearing on its own. I finally met with an ENT who recommended the right imaging and then referred me to Dr. Kiringoda, whom he highly recommended. When I first went in for a consultation, Dr. Kiringoda and PA Rachel (who is also awesome) spent a lot of time with me. He looked at my new CT with me and explained what his plan would be for surgery, targeting the exact cause of my hearing loss. Additionally, he would explore the middle ear to ensure there were no other issues and be prepared if anything else came up during surgery. He thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect. Small Note: He spends considerable time with his patients, so appointments sometimes run behind, but it's all good because his expertise is worth the wait! I got surgery done by Dr. Kiringoda in August 2025, where I underwent an Ossiculoplasty, in which he placed a prosthetic due to erosion of the long process of the Incus bone. After my surgery, I experienced minimal pain and no complications. It was clear about a month after that my hearing was improving, my tinnitus was decreasing, and the numb feeling in my ear was mostly gone. By two months or so, my hearing was exceptionally improved. I am so grateful to Dr. Kiringoda and his excellent team both before and during surgery. I felt well cared for and still do, knowing they are in my corner if something else transpires with my ears. I highly recommend Dr. Kiringoda and PA Rachel Brown, and I have told several people who have asked me for a reference for a good ENT.

Post-op care... well, Dr. Obana hasn't shown up for any of our appointments yet. I'm frustrated that on the first follow up appointment, after getting my daughter out of school and blocking off my work schedule, we waited for 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment time... and were then told that the doctor was not available, not even in the building, and we would have to repeat the process at a future date. We repeated the process; the doctor repeated the no-show; the staff repeated not informing us until we had been waiting in the office for a half hour. Now we're being asked to come back a third time for our first appointment. I understand emergencies and doctors running behind schedule, but I found it very inconsiderate that we were not alerted to this cancellation beforehand---twice. Perhaps this is a staff problem and not unique to Dr. Obana, but we usually experience better service at PAMF. Because this has happened twice in a row (and we've only had two appointments) I would hesitate to recommend this doctor or location to anybody who has a job, kids in school, or a schedule to keep.

They will…read morerequire you to take audible tests for hearing, they do not disclose that requirement, force you to do it otherwise you can't see the doctor, and then charge you for it. I reached out to Ear Associates in May of 2026 to see a doctor for an ear infection. I booked my appointment for 5/29/26. Upon arriving to the doctor's office I was escorted into a room and a provider started running audible testing on me. I asked the provider to stop and expressed concern as i was coming in for an ear infection and thought I was to see a doctor. The provider said I was not allowed to see the doctor until they finished this audible tests. Upon booking of this appointment, no one disclosed anything in regards to a requirement for audible tests. Since i was in dire need to see a doctor, I begrudgingly proceeded. The audible testing lasted for 20-30 minutes. Then i finally got to see a doctor for my ear infection. Even the doctor expressed confusion as to why i was subjected to hearing tests just for an ear infection. The doctor's office agreed to waive the doctor's visit fees, however, I asked to be charged for the doctor's visit and to credit for the audible testing that was not disclosed and forced upon me. The office refused. Additionally, Jacqui Garcia whom was the last person i spoke to at this facility was extremely rude and unhelpful with any further path forward to resolving this issue. Extremely shady. They should be upfront about requiring these hearing tests ahead of seeing a doctor instead of forcing them upon you and refusing to credit it from the bill.

It seems like as they've moved away, they have also stopped offering cochlear implant audiology services and may have even stopped offering hearing aid services after their longtime hearing aid audiologist retired. Now, they've turned into a full on cochlear implant surgery service. However, surgery is only the beginning of the journey - you need the audiology services that take care of mapping and future upgrades. I received my surgery from them more than a decade ago and without audiology here, I am stranded without a provider. I called them and left a voicemail asking if they had suggestions where I could find care and did not receive any call back. It's unfortunate they've shifted to this model.
