My x-ray didn't show any abnormalities, and no one could give me an answer. Dr. Boris was the only person who was able to give me a clue as to what was going on with my body. I'm not going to get into details, but after my treatments my pain level as significantly decrease. His adjustments are the best. I could feel an instant relief after each session. But, at some point that's a pattern in my eyes. I called the office during office hours and left a message (no one had picked up). I didn't get a call back in the next few hours, thought, no worries, I'll stop by - wanted to see the office anyway. I came in and spoke to the office manager/ receptionist - Amanda. She was nice. Said that although this was one of his office days the doctor was out of the office for a personal matter. Ok, made an appointment for the following Friday at 10AM. Took a day off to be there. Fast forward a week. I come in at 10AM. The doctor is not there yet - that he was delayed by the weather (it was sprinkling) no problem, I sit down to wait. About 10 minutes later Amanda tells me that she just texted with the doctor and because of the weather he was delayed - ok, I say ok I'll wait, how far out is he? In Syosset. I stuffer with that - you don't get 40 minutes delayed by drizzling rain. She apologized for the inconvenience. I told Amanda that I took a day off to see the doctor, and although I'm frustrated, to call me when he gets in and we can find a time today that I can still come in - since I took a day off specifically for this. At 1:25PM, over 3 hours later I get a call that the doctor got called out on an emergency and wouldn't be in today at all. And that she can reschedule at my convenience. My convenience? At my convenience I would have seen him TODAY, as scheduled. I struggle to believe that both stories I received in the same day were both true. Really disappointed - can't believe I burned a day off for this. As a side note: this office seems to focus on "no fault" insurance.

I didn't immediately make an appointment, but I finally went in late Jan. 2025. I went on a Thursday and upon entering I saw a waiting area with people on top of people. Having retired after 50 years in healthcare in various settings, I knew this is not a good sign. I was seen sooner than I expected, but I suspect, it was only to input me into the system. It was a pleasant meeting and the doctor actually DID something. She gave me some trigger point injections! Relief. An MRI was ordered. Totally necessary since I hadn't one in years. In response to my question regarding the crowded waiting room, I was told Thursday is "procedure day" with patients requiring anesthesia needing someone to accompany them. I scheduled my f/u appt on a Friday. And then it began. The Friday I returned the waiting room was not crowded. I was hoping to discuss the MRI results with the doctor. I was told she was not in due to a last minute emergency. Possible, but not probable. The only medical practitioner onsite was the PA and she was overstretched. She discussed options and an epidural injection was scheduled for the next Friday, since I didn't need anesthesia. She recommended a baseline EMG, since I also have diabetic neuropathy. A sound idea, so one was scheduled for today, Thursday. When I expressed my reservations about Thursday, I was told it "was a different line". Arrived today, on time, to a room packed with people. I signed in and took a seat. After waiting an hour past my appointment time, I asked at the front desk how much longer. I was told there were 4 people ahead of me! I said I was told this was a different line. She said "it is". When I asked why I wasn't told there would be such a wait, the receptionist said "you didn't ask"!!!!!!! There are many types of business models for medical offices. Some are based on respect for patients and their time. Others are based on greed. An appointment is an agreement between the patient and the provider. There will always be instances where a patient may need more time. A medical complication or a little hand holding. But this practice only cares about generating income by overbooking time slots, at the expense of their patient's time. I canceled my EMG and my epidural injection. There are too many physicians in the area to be subjected to such treatment. Unfortunately, I never got to see if their treatment would have been beneficial.
