Instead, they installed much cooler hospital style lighting (closer to 4000 to 5000K) that clashed with everything else. When I raised the issue, their solution was to suggest redoing all of the other lights in my home, which would obviously cost me more, rather than fixing the mistake they made. That is not professional and it shifts the responsibility onto the customer instead of owning the error. This is a high end home and I expected a higher level of expertise and attention to detail. Color temperature is basic knowledge for any lighting professional and getting it wrong shows a lack of care and follow through. If you are considering using this company, be aware that you may need to double check even the most fundamental details and be prepared for pushback if something is done incorrectly.

He gave me a free estimate, which you don't always get offered by others. His fees are very reasonable and honest, and he was super dependable. There were multiple moments where Devon showed the highest level of professionalism. For example: (1) showed up both times right on time; (2) brought all the needed materials at the onset of the project; (3) attention to detail and hard work getting a 2 day job done in 1 day; (4) cleaned up after the job and brought all cleaning materials with him; (5) brought a very specific ladder to get up my walk up; and (6) meticulous in upfront walk through to make sure we didn't run into major issues mid-job. It included a full service upgrade from 100A to 200A, a new panel, grounding and bonding throughout the house, correction of multiple inspection issues, new lighting, bathroom exhaust fan installation, staircase lighting, GFCIs, and additional interior work once the project was underway. Yonatan and his team handled all of it professionally, safely, and by the book. What stood out most was the level of care and transparency. Yonatan took the time to walk the house in detail, explain what was required by NYC code versus what was optional, and clearly outline the scope before any work began. When additional work made sense after opening things up, it was discussed first, priced clearly, and documented properly. No surprises. The crew was punctual, respectful of the home, and clearly knew what they were doing. The work is impeccable. The panel is clean and well-labeled, and everything functions exactly as promised. This is the kind of electrical work you want done once and done right, especially in an older NYC home. I would absolutely use GroundElectric again and recommend them without hesitation.
