I have been looking for a new dentist in the area for a while and came across orange beach family…read moredentistry. So, I decided to give them a call and the front desk was pleasant and helpful with getting me set up for a cleaning and getting my dental health back in order. I was booked in a timely manner and seen very quickly after my call. Once I made the appointment, I received texts and emails to confirm my appointment and also sending my paperwork paperless which was great to fill out which gave the option to put all my card information in so that it could be checked prior to me coming in. I promptly filled out the information and sent it back to the office and confirmed my appointment so there would be no issues. On the day on my appointment I came in the office it is very nice and clean. Front desk staff was very very nice as well, and greeted me before the door was even closed. I then was called back very quickly and started my appointment. Everything went very smoothly from the xrays to the cleaning. Tina was my hygienist and made me very comfortable as I have a huge fear of all thing's dentist related. So much that she made sure I had warm water for my gums as they are sensitive to cold water. She made great small talk with me to take my mind off the things being done to put my mind at ease. When I saw Dr. Lauren Holloway she was just the most pleseant dentist I have ever had. She made me feel right at home and never uncomfortable. I can honestly say for once I am not dreading my next 6 month check up after this wonderful time I had. Thank you so much Dr. Holloway and all of her staff for making this such a pleasant experience for me.

The technology in his practice is truly state of the art and I was able to get my crown done with one visit. His staff was friendly and professional too. I realized the evening of December 30th I had an infected tooth and the gums underneath, because of…read moresomething wedged between the tooth and gums. I was in horrible pain and called several dentists, who listed emergency appointments on their website. Dr. Dunavant Jr DDS called me the next morning. I had gone to Walmart and bought a tool to remove the piece which was wedged, hydrogen peroxide, and Oral gel with an antibiotic, which took care of the pain and swollen gums. He was so nice and compassionate on the phone, and although it was New Year's Eve, he told me to call if I had any further problems. If I lived nearby, I would certainly want to go to him.

So I thought maybe they could work me in that day or try the next morning and just prescribe an antibiotic or something . This lady was pretty much why I hate going to doctors. She said she had a spot at 4 the next day. I didn't know what would happen the next day, and my nephew went back to the ER, so I passed on the offer. When asked if she had any advice, she had none. I decided I would be better off toughing it out. My doctor called me in an antibiotic and surprisingly a dentist office in Tuscaloosa is going to work me in on Monday.

Then, about 5 months later, I canned to try and schedule our next appointment, I could not get a hold of anyone. In a 3 week period, I left 5 voicemails and NEVER got a call back. I tried different days of the week and times of day and NOBODY EVER answered the phone. So now I'm looking for another dentist. Disappointed for sure...

I was also able to receive my dental cleaning when seen for my follow up appointment two weeks later. My own dentist of 36 years did not offer this care to me. After the care I received from This dental practice in Gulf Shores , I must doubt the review posted by Diane J C, claiming she received a serious laceration to her tongue. This injury would have required emergency treatment to repair her tongue had it occurred as described! However , she does appear to speak with "Forked Tongue"!

Update 5/3/21 They didn't sustain any property damages from…read moreSally and we're open pretty soon after it was safe to move around the area again. Also Doc Dteremont and his entire staff were all fully vaccinated very early on and adhered to all Covid protocols throughout. Everything else I've said previously still remains the same and I like these guys even more today . Now I am excited about my recent procedures that included extracted my two front teeth, lower and replacing with something called a Maryland bridge. What it comprises of are the two new teeth, of course, and a rigid backing that permanently affixes to several of the adjacent teeth. It's something I'd never heard of and it's cool because no partial plate or implants but rather a permanent solution without the cost of inconvenience of some sort of prosthetic or surgery. The process involved the teeth extraction and a period of healing. Then I came back for a brisk cleaning and they took a cast of my teeth. The last step was today when Doc cleaned everything up again and afffixed & glued the new teeth into place It's very comfortable, almost not noticeable and I can smile and eat corn on the corn again without leaving a weird row of corn around said cob LOL The entire process cost $2400 which is the price that insurance would have paid. That's a significant reduced price from their listed charges and I appreciate them working with me as my insurance does not cover this at all. Bottom line: Everyone here is just as friendly and professional as can be and I am so glad that I found them. Me & Doc also watched some New England Patriots draft highlights throughout today's event, so bonus :-)
