From the initial phone call to the procedure itself, everything went well. My daughter is an anxious patient, but after reading reviews about Dr. McGann's experience with nervous patients, I felt better about choosing this office. During the consultation Dr. McGann patiently answered all of our questions and the wisdom teeth extractions went better than expected. The aftercare instructions were explained, and her prescriptions were sent to our pharmacy of choice and ready for pickup before we even left the office. Brandy walked my daughter to the car and made sure she was safely in her seat, which I thought was very thoughtful and compassionate. The office itself is contemporary, calm, and welcoming, with beautiful wood accents and two comfortable seating areas. There's a waiting area inside and outside. I really liked the vertical wood partitions. It gave the office a clean, Scandinavian design vibe. The building is on a corner lot with a small parking area in the back, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. There's also metered street parking directly across the street. The personal touches in the post care bag like chapstick, extra gauze and the syringe for flushing the medicine, meant so much. As a college student, she loves the new sweatshirt! She wore it inside at home today saying how comfortable it is! Wisdom teeth removal is a rite of passage for many teens and I'm so happy that my daughter had a pleasant experience. She's feeling better since the teeth have been removed. So grateful for this office. Dr. McGann's bedside manner and attentiveness are truly top-tier. We live 2.5 to 3 hours away (depending on traffic) so when I realized I had a missed call from the oral surgery office, I panicked a little thinking we had forgotten something! Imagine my relief and surprise when I listened to the voicemail and it was Dr. McGann personally calling the same evening to check on my daughter's healing and progress. A+++ This office treats its patients with respect and care. It operates like a well-oiled machine. Every staff member is efficient, competent, and a skilled communicator. This kind of care is rare. I'm truly so grateful and blessed that we found them.

My actual procedure went very well and Dr. Olin is amazing.*** I had my consultation appointment with Dr. Olin on November 3, 2025 after he was highly recommended by my orthodontist. My consultation included imaging and then 45 minutes of face to face time with Dr. Olin where he explained the plan in depth. I was told that everything would be sent for authorization. I called the office on Friday, November 21st to follow up as I had not received anything from my insurance. I was told by the front office that I needed to have the orthodontist place the palate expander prior to scheduling surgery. This was an error and they were going to check with the doctor and call me back. I never received a call. I followed up 2 weeks later and I checked-in with my orthodontist. I called again and spoke with Brandi, who was handling my auth and scheduling. She let me know the paperwork hadn't been signed. Okay, it's the end of the year, I get it. I told her my goal was to schedule and follow through with the procedure ASAP. I called again after Christmas and spoke with Brandi. No update. I expressed that this was frustrating and I understood that it was not her fault. She agreed that she would also be frustrated. To make a long story shorter, my orthodontic team needed to get involved as there was minimal information and communication from Brandi. If I did call, answers were short and it sounded as though she may be irritated. I finally received auth in late January. Scheduling was just as difficult. Finally get a date scheduled for 5/21 and moved to 4/16, amazing! Pre op is scheduled for 4/13. On 4/3, I called and spoke to Brandi to confirm and asked if we had further details, such as a time. No. The day of my pre-op, all goes to plan until I go to check out and schedule post op appointments. I was told I had a $1500 copay and that I should have been notified. I said I was not and that my copay according to my insurance plan was $0. I asked to see the documentation and the girl at the front desk didn't have it but was told that the insurance company said to collect this amount. I asked to speak to the office manager at this point and was told she was working from home that afternoon but she would call me. I paid the copay because I didn't want to risk losing my procedure date. I called my insurance company immediately after leaving and was told the copay was incorrect, that it was $0, and they had no documentation on their end stating I was to pay $1500. The rep called and spoke to Brandi while I was on hold and when he came back on the line, he said immediately asked if I knew a Brandi. I confirmed and he let me know he had to tell her she could not charge me the copay and that the comment "She should be thankful because she's getting a 60k surgery," was made. He let me know I she was going to void the charges. I called to confirm and Brandi picks up the phone and says,"I'm doing it now." No hello, nothing. I asked if the transaction fee would also be returned. "Yes," and she hung up on me. I followed up via email asking for the transaction receipt and proof of void, and let them know I was happy to pay any patient portion due and I would need to see documentation. I received the transaction receipt and no other response. Surgery came and went. All was well and when I came in for my post op, I asked to speak with the office manager prior to me leaving. I initially told she would call me but when I asked if she was available this afternoon and I would wait, I waited for a few minutes with my husband to speak with Christina. When we sat down with her, I asked if she was familiar with my case and what had happened. She started with "I understand your frustration is targeted on Brandi. ". She followed up with the fact that I had received my money back and it was an error. I let her know that I was really upset with the tone of the service I received and it was so negative that when I was asked by Dr. Olin to move my post op appointment, I didn't want to call incase I spoke with Brandi due to the poor interactions. When I mentioned what my insurance rep said to me, she said it couldn't have happened because she sits next to Brandi. Remember, she was out of the office that afternoon. Christina did not appear to hear my concerns and dismissively said she looked into it. When I seemed unsatisfied, she asked what I was looking for. I replied that I just wanted her to really hear me so that there could be improvements made. Again the answer was very dismissive to the point that I asked if I was even welcome back in the future. I may need another surgery and Dr. Olin is amazing. She said yes and seemed surprised. Long story short, I don't know if change will happen but I hope so.

I was referred here by Visionary Dental Arts and I swung by the day of to have a quick convo and they were able to get me a consultation within the next 48 hours which was clutch because my insurance plan was changing and I needed a quick turnaround time. The receptionist were quick, funny, and informative. They have an automated system to send you text reminders of your appointment plus a welcome video after you leave the office. For my consultation, I was running late because my dog became ill and they were gracious and worked with finding another time for me to come in. I arrived later that day and waited no more than 5 minutes in a crowded waiting room to go in and get my head scanned. I was put into the patient room with scans of my head and I met with 3 people. The assistant, then the doctor, then the payment specialist. Each one was welcoming and didn't talk to me entirely in jargon and technical terms. They made it a point to use the medical terms and then combine it with more common terms. It was in a way that didnt make me feel inferior or not smart. I then went and made an appointment for two weeks from there. A few days later, I called and asked if I can move it up and they were more than happy to do so as they had a last minute opening for extraction. On they day of my appointment, I came in, they went over a few paperwork, took payment, and then whisked me into the room. They asked what type of music I wanted to be played and told them some music from my home country and they were bopping along with me and asking questions about my country and sharing stories about their own. I was 3 minutes into the song before next thing I knew, I was being walked out to the car. Don't remember much but they mentioned how fun I was and that they enjoyed spending time with me. Apparently I was hilarious and grooving even in my sleep. Many thanks for their patience and care they provided me.

I was disappointed with my experience at this office. My husband's insurance had recently expired without our knowledge. While I understand that insurance eligibility can change and needs to be verified before an appointment, the way the situation was handled was unprofessional. When we arrived, the front desk employee informed us that the insurance was inactive. As we tried to understand why it had not been caught earlier, she became visibly annoyed, rolled her eyes, and returned my husband's ID by sliding/slamming it back across the counter. We remained respectful and immediately offered to pay for the consultation out of pocket. Despite repeatedly confirming that we wanted to proceed and pay for the appointment, we were continually asked if we wanted to reschedule instead. We were also repeatedly reminded about the card processing fee even after acknowledging it and agreeing to pay. The dentist may provide good care, but the customer service we received at the front desk left a very negative impression. A little professionalism, patience, and courtesy would have gone a long way.

Dr Machado performed a double jaw surgery on me in 2012 - thirteen years ago. I really haven't been able to put into words that he completely changed my entire life. I cannot express enough gratitude and thanks for being able to live the last 13 years happy with my face, after hating looking in the mirror for my entire life prior. Dr Machado is the single most pivotal person in my life after my family. No longer having my appearance be a daily negative factor in my life is best gift I could have ever received. Dr. Machado and his office fought hard for my parents to get the surgery approved through insurance, made a critical last minute decision to go for double jaw surgery instead of having to do two as originally planned, which was so amazing. He was available during my after care and I always felt like I was in good hands and that he was available should I ever need him... which I did a couple years later. My favorite experience was a year or so later when I came back in to get a screw removed - Dr Machado looked at my face and said something to the effect of "I could lowered the top teeth slightly more" - which is something I had considered in passing. I am more than thrilled with my face, its an absolute success by every measure and by any other doctor would be considered 'perfect' - but I am even more appreciative that Dr. Machado cares down the millimeters and scrutinizes your face just as much or more as you do. He is a true artist and a perfectionist. When you undergo this type of surgery you need to have someone you can trust with your appearance, especially in the trying times when you have to wait months to a year for the final result. Dr. Machado is someone who can and will deliver that for you. Thank you for completely changing the entire direction of my life. Thank you for giving my the self confidence I never had. Thank you for my face! Thank you so much!

Date of most recent visit: January 14, 2025…read more For the past couple of years, I had a bump on my inner lip that had neither grown or shrunken; it was just... there. My dentist was concerned about it, so she referred me to Dr. Mahdi Matin and his team at West Coast Oral Surgery. They discovered that not only did I have two bumps that were papillomas (which gave me a bit of concern as the first thing that popped into my head was HPV... which they quickly reassured me it wasn't), but they also wanted to remove them for a biopsy to make sure they weren't cancerous or anything like that. I went in last week to get the papillomas removed, and just yesterday got the official word... BENIGN! (Actually, I had known since this past Friday, as my dentist had also gotten the pathology results and were the first to tell me, but I still wanted to hear it from Dr. Matin.) What impressed me about West Coast Oral Surgery is that not only was the procedure quick and relatively painless once the anesthesia kicked in, but how professional the staff was in describing what the procedure would entail, treatment, and payment plans. While they don't take Tricare/Triwest (for those of you who have it), they do take CareCredit as a payment. Also, when the dental assistant asked what I wanted to listen to while they did my procedure, I said 80's tunes... but somehow the Pandora station started playing Motown and 70's music. No biggie, plus the assistant said she liked my musical taste! Definitely recommend Dr. Matin and the folks at West Coast Oral Surgery!

On the day of the surgery, the process went smoothly and efficiently, and the staff helped calm my nerves.
