They are a local retailer and manufacturer. They source and use quality materials that are natural/organic. I've never experienced any off-gassing, something I'm extremely sensitive to. The longevity of the mattress far exceeds a traditional innerspring. Their mattresses definitely come at a higher price point than if you were to go to Metro Mattress, Dream City, etc., but I have no doubt I will be sleeping on our Sleepmaster mattress for 20 or more years. I can say already that after I first purchased a Linklaen in 2014, I bought a run of the mill pillowtop from Dream City for our guest bedroom. The guest bed has already shit out on us, after hosting a handful of guests and occasionally my sleepy dog. Carol is a wonderful salesperson (and she may be the only one there?), knows her product, is personable and straightforward. She always seems willing to cut a deal for you, especially if you are a return customer. I don't know if this is part of her sales gimmick, but if it is, it is effective as her delivery is quite sincere. I ended up purchasing a Linklaen, which is Sleepmaster's all latex model. It is definitely a very firm mattress, and keep in mind that if you lay on their floor model in the store, it is MUCH softer than what you will actually receive, after being broken in by many backs and butts of people wanting to test it out. When I moved into a bigger house and had a bedroom that could accommodate a king, I went back to Sleepmaster and ended up getting an Archetype pillowtop, which is a bit softer model. It is a traditional innerspring with a latex topper. There is no breaking in period for this model. It feels like it's been your ride or die mattress. It is firm enough for me, soft enough for my husband, and roomy enough for the two of us, a toddler and a dog. The Archetype pillowtop is one of Sleepmaster's most expensive models - including delivery an hour away, it set me back $3402 (I did not purchase the box spring, that was just for the mattress). However! If the mattress lasts 20 years at least, and I'm sleeping on it every night, it breaks out to about .46 cents per night's sleep, and that sounds pretty good to me. It was in the time of COVID and we had to wait for 9 months for the delivery of our new sofa and loveseat. It arrived and...I hated it. The color was blah, my feet didn't touch the floor, the seats seemed lopsided with the stuffing. Then, the tears in the seams started. We purchased the furniture from Adirondack Furniture Company so I sent them pictures of the issues. They sent out a repairman. He did a great job, but the next year there were more rips in the fabric and pilling and fabric pulling apart, which we spent extra for the uber durable upholstery. This past spring, bless their hearts, I sent another email about rips in the head rests. Well, the furniture company, Adirondack Furniture Company, reached out to me and offered 100% store credit to get all new furniture 4 years after our purchase date. People...I think this is unheard of in today's world. Today I ordered a new custom recliner (for Buddy) and a new sofa, and I still have a store credit to apply to a chair for me...all expenses, including delivery and removal of the old furniture, is being covered by Adirondack Furniture Company. These folks stand behind their products! I am incredulous.

If you like the Adirondack style, then I want to mention and encourage you to visit ADK Home in Old Forge, New York. They have a Facebook page but they don't display much in inventory there. The selection is limited compared to other stores but Syracuse Mattress is one of the few places which actually carries flippable mattresses. Additionally the brands they carry were not any I had heard of but my tests all felt comparable. They have hybrid, pillow top, and adjustable mattresses as other stores do. You can get delivery but most of their shoppers pick up directly. I'd definitely recommend stopping in, though check their hours as they're closed on Sunday and Monday.

Lucky for me I took a drive and happened upon this gem of an antique store. The vast barn is filled to the brim with vintage merchandise from decades bygone if not centuries! You could spend hours rummaging through every nook and cranny, certainly reminiscent of my childhood. Phones, clocks, jewelry, lamps, rugs, furniture, clothing at garage sale prices, they just took the garage sale hunting to one convenient location! They have recent items as well, hand made soaps, candy shop, juices, jellies, omish made products as well. This is an antiquarian's paradise in a Pandora's Barn of treasure's! All the employee's and I believe owners on premises were friendly and inviting. I can't wait to return to find more treasures and take a nostalgic walk down memory lane.
