I had a full body massage and facial here in the newly opened spa :) I have to start by saying that it was a fantastic experience from start to finish ... Attention to detail was perfect .. The towels in which I was wrapped were soft and fluffy as I snuggled in to a tranquil hazy snooze relaxing music soothed away my stresses... The massage was first , I was asked my preference .. I favour a firm massage and requested that particular attention was payed to my sore tight shoulders and neck.. The therapist did not disappoint , the pressure was perfect not painful,, she expertly set to work on my numerous knots leaving me as pain free as I can remember in a very long time... This was followed by the facial , again I was asked what I would like from my treatment.. I opted for hydration and lifting as my goal , Aveda products were used and were a delight. ... Again technique was faultless and I drifted away in a dreamy state.... I left feeling thoroughly pampered and glowing from head to toe.. Just had the most amazing massage and facial at John Fraser Jenkins. The beautician gave me a skin consultation and went through lots of options I could have for my facial. I opted for an anti-ageing mask. I now look 10 years younger and my fine lines have almost disappeared. Even my husband noticed when he got home and said my skin was glowing. I will definitely be returning regularly to JFJ for more treatment. The massage was a fantastic bonus to the treatment. Before my massage she asked which areas I would like to concentrate on and as I had a lot of stiffness in my neck I asked her to focus on this. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! On the outside appears like you run of the mill salon. I basically had a terrible hair cut which was NOT what I asked for. I have long thick wavy hair, with a few layers at the front. I simply asked James for a trim ! He hacked away at my hair putting many many layers all over my hair. NOT what I asked for. I specifically said I wanted to grow my hair and just wanted a trim. But he insisted in taking too much off and cutting a totally different style to what I asked for. Plus he also made me feel silly for being so distressed at how much of my hair he was cutting off ! If you like your hair and care, do not go to this salon ! read more

I have been going to the Salon since in opened. My cuts, colour and blow drys are of the highest quality. I am always complemented on the way my hair looks. I must be one of the salon's fussiest clients however: John's cuts and blow dry are always first class. Olivia Linda and Joe are excellent with colours and have a natural feel for what suits you. If John is unavailable for my weekly blow dry I am more than happy to have Joe or Olivia to do it and it is always of a high standard. I have been going to this salon for seven years and have always loved my hair cut and highlights. I have had my hair cut by most of their stylists and they are all very good and listen to what you want. The salon is very funky and the staff all friendly and efficient. I particularly like the massaging chairs while you have a shampoo. Have brought a few visiting friends and family here to and they have always loved their hair afterwords. John also did my hair on my wedding day and it was stunning, I had loads of compliments. read more

I had a restyle with John after six months of hairdresser avoidance. He gave me a great cut and a beautiful bouncy blow dry. I styled it myself today and the layers have unearthed curls that had been hiding for some time. The staff are lovely and there was none of the pressure that many hairdressers use to book unnecessary appointments every six weeks.
