This year, my wife and I were blessed with twins. This also means our expenses caring for a little own are multiplied. While facing a financial hardship, our furnace started leaking dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and we needed a replacement. We couldn't afford the cost of a new own and care for our babies equally. With temperatures on the decline, it was imperative that we replaced it as soon as possible. When Tyler Air Conditioning heard our story, they offered to help. During an extremely difficult and stressful time, they offered to donate their time to help offset the cost of a new furnace. Within a few weeks, a new boiler was installed. We now have heat at night, our babies are thriving, and we are living with less stress. The entire staff on board truly amazing people. They were all willing to help a local family in need and I will always support them. I want to especially thank Donny, Vinny, Fred, and Jennifer for going above and beyond. Fraudulent billing…read more Watch out for these fraudsters. I had Arctic over to look at a heating issue. Their tech was in my house for no more than 20 minutes. I received a bill for 1.5 hours. When I called them, their rude representative claimed their GPS said he was at my house for one hour and 27 minutes. Then she hung up on me. I then check my Ring doorbell camera and got the video evidence. I wrote the company and then got a call from a "manager" who claimed their rep didn't argue with me and they were fixing it. Watch out for these crooks. If they're willing to scam me on my first small bill, imagine what they'd do to you if you did a big project with them. CROOKS. Update: Subsequent to the original post, Jeffrey F from Arctic Mechanical wrote a reply to my post, inaccurately characterizing the events, but more importantly, listing my name and home address in his reply. Failing to detect leakage BEFORE adding refrigerant is the service problem. Arctic solution is to now install a new A/C, after spending over $3,000 dollars on Arctic Mechanical service. In past, Artic quoted me a heat/hot water unit, and after accepting the quote installed a different brand. No explanation for this bait - and- switch maneuver. I'm not sure whether the individual sent out was new to the field, but there were problems all the way through. When I called to see if I could switch companies, I was told "No". The first furnace ordered, by them, was a "Downflow". One would expect from the name, that this type would be installed in an attic. When I asked about this, I was told "oh, yeah we can change it", because it was going in my basement. The installation left a hole in my wall and the new unit (which they came to measure for before ordering) went past the door frame and left me unable to close my utility/laundry room door. When I called to ask about coming back to fix it. I was told "maybe a curtain could work instead". I moved on and took the loss. Now they refuse to remove me from their calling list and keep calling with sales calls. When I tell them to stop calling and "fuck off", They call back like 8 year olds playing on the phone in the 80's. This is not a business I can recommend in ANY way. Stay far away unless you don't mind having your home damaged and then being harassed by the people who did it.

They have done a ton of work for me over the years including full replacement of our heating and AC systems for high efficiency ones, thermostat upgrades, water heaters, duct work... They have shown up at my house at 5AM in the morning to trouble shoot and replaced my old system on one of the coldest days of the year for me. The work is always quality and they always stand by it- if something isn't right they come back and fix it right away. What is the best about P&M to me is that they don't oversell you. I don't know anything about HVAC but Phil does not take advantage of that. He tells me what's practical and what he suggests, what will save me money now vs in the long run and let's me make my own decision. He consistently comes in cheaper than anyone else but more importantly I feel comfortable that I don't have to call around and get ten quotes when Phil tells me a price I know it's a fair one- this is rarely the case anymore. I once had an issue with a neighbor complaining about some construction happening at our house, Phil managed to smooth things over when it didn't even have anything to do with him.
