Benches and picnic tables throughout, some with BBQ pits. A blue building with rainbow painted doors directly in front of the parking lot. Signs advertising free meals for kids & movies in the park directly in front of the blue building. My family, dog, and I enjoyed this park, only issue was someone's dog was running loose no leash or owner, dog appears to live directly across the street from the park. Dog was not vicious, but I had to holler at it to make sure it stayed away from us and my dog. I notice a lot of loose dogs running about near parks here in Mobile, so this is not the first time I have encountered that at a local park. Just be cautious if you are there with pets or children.

Park is a fairly open large space with some Pine Trees surrounding the perimeter. The park is pet friendly granted your dog is on a leash. Soccer is played here, maybe baseball and football. Park has no playground or restrooms, but there is a port-a-potty near the parking lot. Park is clean with no litter. Parking lot is medium sized, signs posted vehicles left more then 48 hours will be towed. This is not a good park for events or birthday parties, there is limited shade, no benches, no tables, no pavilions, no bleachers, restrooms, or concession stands. Other then sports or walking your dog, there is not too much to do.

Springhill community facility center reputation has grown since 2021 in its customer service,…read morecleanliness and appearances. This was achieved by the Parks and Recreation management upon their decision to hiring of a female custodian Socorro Miranda in the beginning of the year 2021. Ms. Miranda self motivation , skills in her duties and her deep commitment and loyalty to her daily responsibilities, along with her hard charging commitment to the department to turn the Springhill Community Center that was on the chopping block for closure around. She brighten the usefulness of this facility within the community. Citizens from the community have returned and increased their patroness of this community center because of these important types of improvements and services. The seniors and summer camp teenagers programs that returned each year enjoyed the smile , compassion and the individual care Ms. Socorro Miranda demonstrated and provided beyond the scope of her daily duties consistently. Today, the official news was received that she is being transferred out of this facility by the end of this week. I am outraged that dedicated and loyal consistent employee are involuntarily moved and yet those employees whom performances and commitments that are less desirable still remain in place. We the taxpayers want Ms. Miranda to remain in her position at Springhill Recreation Center. I seriously doubt the replacement replacing Ms.Miranda will resume the duties again of looking out for all the young and seniors citizens patronizing the center and keeplong the high quality maintenance level of cleanliness and appearance within the facility, we as the taxpayers have come to appreciate and enjoyed under Ms. Miranda watch to continue. The department decision to remove the strongest hardworking employee from Springhill Recreation Center that keep the place lively , healthy and clean Is the biggest error they can make. Keep this in mind, eighty percent of keeping a facility such as this in good standing comes from how the facility individual staff treat, cares and show compassion to its citizens. Good luck Springhill, and Parks Recreation management finding another employee with such dedication to fill her shoes will be far in between to find.

A reasonable amount of parking in front of the park that has playground equipment, swing sets and a lighted basketball court. There is also a gazebo/pavilion and a building with restrooms. They have a covered pavillion where you can have a picnic but no BBQ grills. They have trashcans for you and even have unlocked restrooms for you to use. Theres a sink to use to wash off dishes and they even have water fountains. Theres a basketball court also with 2 nets and theres 2 balls for you to use. Im even thinking about playing some street hockey on it one day. Theres plenty of grass to run around and they have benches all around the park to sit on and it offers plenty of natural shade from the huge trees. Overall nice little spot to chill at and soak up some nice weather!

Southern weather is always subject to change in Mobile, keep umbrellas, rain ponchos, and sweaters handy, weather changes from one hour to the next.
