Playground with two play sets, two swing sets, metal climbing bars, little cars for the small kids. 3 baseball diamonds, but only one has unshaded bleachers. Large area for soccer. Two sets of public restrooms open 24 hours. Picnic area has a large barrel style BBQ, picnic tables, sink/water access with electric plug. Disc golf course, mostly shaded.

This is a small community playground in a residential area near the Saraland Reservoir. The…read moreplayground equipment consists of two older metal slides and a swing-set that has 5 regular swings, and a smaller swing for younger children. This park is quiet, secluded, and in the shade. There are no restrooms, benches, tables or BBQ's here. No parking lot, I parked on the grass because the street is a narrow residential road that curves. The best part about this playground is the woods around it and Norton Creek in the rear. Norton Creek is shallow, and translucent, I did not see any fish, but I am sure they are here. If you walk beyond the chain link fence and past an old brick foundation, there is a well worn trail that snakes along the creek. My dog and I followed it about a mile down, but we came back because I decided to leave the rest of the trail for another day. This is a good place for walking, hiking, taking your dog off leash, or doing some stealth camping. Along the trail, people hung up trash bags, but there is still litter here and there from other hikers. I know that this park is near Jacintasport Wildlife Area, where people hunt hogs, turkeys,deer & fish. I imagine if you follow this trail, the creek might get a little deeper, would probably make a good quiet fishing spot. It is a pretty cool area, I am here in January 2023, you might want to bring bug repellant, water, sunscreen, snacks. Place is pet friendly, dogs allowed.

It…read moreis shaded by trees and there is some green space if the kids want to run around, and the playground and splash pad are surrounded by a gate so no one can run in the street. Saraland is a very nice community and has great parks. This park is right across the street from The Piggly Wiggly. The Splash Pad has mounted squirt guns, which is pretty cool. The splash pad is controlled by a sensor, which was a funny surprise because my dog hates water!

There are benches scattered throughout the park under an oak tree or two, also has a red gazebo/ pavilion with a red table & red benches. Part of the park on one side in sunk in, acts as a ponding basin when the rain gets heavy, it looked a little muddy at the bottom when we're there, but I am sure it is not always that way. You could probably play football or soccer there as long as there is no mud. There is an elevated walking trail all around this area I was able to walk my dog around, and a wooden gate that leads to neighborhood behind the park. Small parking lot in front of park, and at least two drinking fountains within park. Park closes at sundown.

This park is a public boat launch and also has restrooms. Large outdoor area to BBQ, with sink , and large outdoor dining area with a bar set up. Nice place. Has rocking chairs on the back porch of the lodge.

We saw a bull shark, three dolphins, and an alligator sunning himself by the waters edge a little further away. The pelicans seem kind of aggressive, so just be careful. Huge fish everywhere in the water! Nice areas to BBQ and picnic, but I saw no grills, so you will have to bring your own. The restrooms are closed, but there are two port-a-potties in an enclosure in the middle of the marina parking area.
