So please be careful when considering braces in a older age! I found Dr. Lorelei Grisé, a periodontist, which she was a angel sent from above seriously. From the first meet she really acknowledged what I was going through and even text me personally after my visit. I felt like she went beyond her scope to make me feel comfortable and supported by telling me exactly what was going on with my teeth and recommended me what to do. She is very detailed which is what I was looking for especially in the dental world. I just saw her again yesterday for a regular cleaning and I have never had such an amazing dental cleaning like my teeth look so nice and I was so happy with them. Especially how I was so sad what was going on with my teeth due to the braces, my teeth never looked this bad so for me it was a big deal. I'm glad I'm starting the new year off right with my teeth. My insurance (BCBS) is accepted here, and I get two cleanings a year covered at no additional charge. When I needed a filling, I think it was $50 with insurance, so I doubt you will find a place more affordable that offers the same quality of service and attention. English and Spanish are spoken with fluency, as well as Russian and Arabic. Make an appointment today!

I've been fortunate enough to not need any extensive dental work so even just going for cleanings have filled me with anxiety. My hygiene team worked really well together and they let me talk my "nervous talk" before my cleaning and even laughed at my poor attempt at jokes. They worked well together and in tandem so that I was always tended to and my mouth never filled up with excess fluids. Whenever something felt sensitive, they paused and made sure that I was okay and they were gentle while poking around with sharp metal instruments in my mouth. The problem I have is: they have told me that the reason they have moved to this policy is because "sometimes they haven't gotten paid by insurance." Understandable sentiment, but it's not ok to just shift the risk to the patient. Did I miss something here? Feels like I'll get my refund as long as the insurance is ok with it, but they will never be at risk of losing a session fee. In an area where dentist offices are plentiful it's surprising they've gone this route. I've changed my routine dentist office just for this reason and honestly, I haven't felt deprived of anything.
