Along the way we discovered a few minor and a few major issues (rotten wood, random electric wires where they shouldn't have been etc.), and they fixed everything without making price adjustments. One major issue was dealt with quickly and with a very fair price adjustment. All in all I am so happy to have found a fair and reliable contractor in our new city. We are filing a complaint with consumer protections agencies, BBB and going to court for lawsuit. It is a shame really since that we were trying to support small businesses and this is the result.

Our gutters were leaking and not draining well, even after being cleaned and attached with gutter guards. On top of that we also noticed a couple of troubling spots on the roof as well. After reading reviews about Neil Labuda we decided to give him a try. He came for a consultation right away and gave us an estimate; we decided to go with him even though we didn't ask for a second opinion-- we liked what he had to offer. He is very professional in his presentation and explained all the pros and cons of everything very clearly. We signed the contract and had a beginning date set. Due to the weather (not his fault) we had to start later on. The task was to change all the gutters and to repair the roof of a 3000sqf ranch house. Estimated time to completion was around 5 to 7 days, he made it in 4! He worked most of the time alone (with the exception of one day), but very efficiently, and hard. He hardly took a lunch break. He came every day around 7 am and went all the way to 5 pm. The result: The look is great, I should write in the future regarding the functionality, but it really looks amazing. He gives a 10-year warranty for the the gutters and a good warranty for the roof repairs as well. He cleaned very well when the job was done even rolling a giant magnet in case any screws or nails were left on the ground. The price: it wasn't cheap and honestly we do not know how market-fair it was since is the first time we deal with this, however the job was done right. He was very honest and even gave us a break for extra repairs he had to do on the roof, which we really appreciate since we are struggling a bit with so many repairs we have to do. Conclusion: He is knowledgable, trust-worthy, and very professional. Was having continual problems with my old furnace and hired Applause for the job. John assured me…read morethat my system would be fully operational and that he would stand by his work. The system was installed in Nov of 2020 - brand new furnace and piping overhead- new zone valves and bleeders - I reiterated the importance of not having a system that would fail every year since this is what I had been previously experiencing. Again, he convinced me that he had given me thee best option. He took his time with the installation and I finally had heat running. Well it took 1 year and one of the One valves failed. he came expecting payment for switching it out saying that I had to pay for his time. As a result of the zone valve breaking, my pipes froze. there was some water damage and he finally comes after some coercion expecting payment. Telling me that he only warranted his labor for year. Here it was January the following year - 2 mos following. I paid him top dollar and I was expecting top dollar service. Not for him to try and get money from me for broken parts that HE installed. And for a failure, I would expect that he would've been willing to fix. Bottom line is he was only after the quote/money. Once the installation was complete, he could care less about any issues that would surface. I would never use Applause again. I have a system under warranty that's not really under warranty. Had to pay another plumber to address the frozen pipe that the faulty valve created. Left bleeder on during initial installation causing water damage to 2nd floor ceiling. Walked away like it wasn't an issue.
