After taking possession of the house, we found several issues that were NOT address as they were supposed to be in the agreement. Steven asked for three days after the close of escrow to do a "deep cleaning: of the house. However, he left the house in terrible shape with dirt and mud on the tile, soiled carpets and disgusting toilets (pictures attached). Looking at the other reviews here, he is not someone I would ever knowingly do business with. If you happen to buy a house from him, be thorough. He is extremely unprofessional and lacks integrity.

From getting 96 pieces of artwork appraised, to meeting tenants to pick up keys and do final walkthroughs, Ray and Alex made this painful time so much easier for me to navigate. In total, they sold four very different pieces of property, from a 6 unit apartment building, to my childhood home, to two other rentals my Mom and I owned. Sadly, the seller had no idea what a dual agent even was, let alone the fact that it benefitted them to have a lower asking price. The agent is supposed to make the seller money! Or whomever they represent. But how can they do this fairly when representing both parties? Impossible. We were told a young couple was buying one of the homes. It's now been renovated and resold for almost double what the seller got for it. While still legal, being a dual agent is HIGHLY unethical. These broads stole from my family, hundreds of thousands of dollars, on multiple occasions. They disgust me. Stay away, or lose your money. You've been warned.

Mike Bary needed to involve a third party, Figure8 (who was lovely and did a fantastic job securing tenants and managing the property), to finally secure tenants. Mike Bary included a clause in the lease agreement that he would be owed 4% of the sale price if the tenants purchased the property, which they eventually did. We foolishly signed this contract giving 4% of the value of our home to Mike Bary for simply making an introduction to tenant. Our real estate attorney noted that he had never seen such a large commission for simply making an introduction to a buyer in his many years of practicing. We would never work with Mike Bary or The Agency in a real estate transaction in the future.

I started having health issues after a few months of ownership and my doctor told me to check for black mold in my house. I sent a mold company to check it out and they found years of mold growth. Just putting this out here as a precaution of this real estate company for future homebuyers in the area.
