Why would I trust this group to sell real estate when they come into our neighborhood and trash it? I saw no less than 5 flyers littered on my morning walk plus the one they just dumped into my yard. Not on the doorstep, not in the mailbox, just dumped in the yard. If you want to profit off this neighborhood Pete - try respecting it read more

Pete is a real estate magician! With a whirlwind decision we went from idly looking at out of state properties to suddenly needing to sell our West LA home in a hurry. Pete set up a home estimate, a consultation with a home staging expert, photography, videography, and virtual tour capture within days of contact. He made sure we could get maximum impact within our set time frame and with minimal preparation cost. We were show-ready and listed in a week and a half. Private showings went smoothly and were grouped together to make sure we weren't too inconvenienced when we had to vacate. When you're in the middle of both buying and selling a home, it's really nice to have someone value your time! Our house was marked as a Hot Home on Redfin right off the bat and we received multiple offers well over asking within 4 days of listing. Post-sale process was smooth and communication remained excellent throughout. Escrow closed right on time and with no issues whatsoever. Pete even went the extra mile and took care of the house even after we'd moved out of state before closing. It's invaluable to have a real estate agent that really knows the neighborhood and can make a property really shine. Pete works his butt off for you, really listens to your priorities, never pressures you to make one decision over another, and gets top dollar. I wouldn't dream of going with any other agent in the West LA area! read more

Pete & Maile were both very helpful through the process of buying our new home. Any questions that we had along the way were answered quickly and precisely. The nice part of the Pete and Maile partnership is that typically one of them is always available for a quick question/answer. Another advantage working with the Castro Group is that they have lots of years of experience in the neighborhood and have built relationships with other brokers. I would highly recommend the Castro Group for your next real estate transaction. read more

Pete Castro helped immensely with every step on the path to selling my home. From an extensive list of stager, painter and tradesmen recommendations to up-to-date knowledge of neighborhoods, comps and pricing to an absolutely boundless wellspring of energy, enthusiasm and professionalism, he was always there for us, ready with an answer or advice or a recommendation. Pete helped me buy my first home nearly twenty years ago and he helped me buy my new home two weeks ago. He also helped me sell that first home quickly at nearly $100k over asking. I wouldn't trust anyone else with a decision this important. Pete is the absolute best. read more

We have been in contact with Pete for many years until we were finally ready to sell our home. He always kept us up to date on the market situation without pressuring us to make the move to sell. When we decided it was the right time in January he has been amazing from the start with recommending what upgrades are needed as well as referred us to the right staging company. Then the unexpected happened with COVID-19, but with his amazing knowledge and skills, Pete assisted us selling our home at the highest value we were able to get during these hard times. We did not reside nearby and we could entrust Pete to be our partner for all situations, ie when vendors needed to get into our home. Thank you again Pete for a job well done. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Pete. He is extremely knowledgeable about the LA market and in how to market to/attract qualified buyers. He made the whole process from start to finish effortless. I was more than comfortable with the listing price and even more so with the final outcome. He goes above and beyond when it comes to not only giving guidance on how to make your property show better, but down to recommending contractors/service providers for prepping your home for sale and even facilitating your move. He and his team were always very responsive and willing to explain every step in the process. He was swift when it came time to present/respond to offers and gave solid guidance around the whole negotiation process. You won't be disappointed. read more

Pete knows the Westside real estate market very well and had previously handled a few transactions in our condominium complex in the past. So when it was time for us to sell, we knew we wanted to work with someone who was familiar with our area and our complex. Pete has a wonderful associate, Kayla, and together they were both responsive and helpful throughout the experience. He personally created excellent marketing materials, with professional photography and dynamic websites. His Internet marketing reach was phenomenal and our condo was always in the top three listings on Zillow in our zip code. Thousands of people saw our home online. Pete helped us greatly through the negotiating process and we happily accepted an offer on our home in less than 3 weeks on the market - a week before Christmas! Even though it was the holidays, Pete and Kayla kept on working hard for us and making sure everything was in order and taken care of in timely manner. We highly recommend Pete Castro if you have any real estate needs on Westside of Los Angeles. He will take care of you and your family! Thomas & Lena Allison read more

My brother and I are very grateful and happy that we chose Pete Castro to sell our parents' house. I had never sold a home before and didn't know what to expect. From the first day we met him, Pete was friendly, helpful, and accessible. He skillfully guided us through the entire listing, selling and escrow process with his knowledge of the neighborhood and home values, long experience in the field, and network of experts to help with every aspect of the home renovation, marketing, and sale. Neither of us lives near the house, but Pete made the process of prepping it for sale very smooth and convenient for us, even scheduling pickups of the remaining furniture and personal property. He also connected us to an estate planning paralegal to help with the living trust paperwork. After conferring with us on a budget for his recommended renovations to make the house more attractive to buyers, Pete got to work immediately. He communicated with us frequently about the stages of the work and coordinated with his trusted contractors to do repairs, gardening, painting, flooring, cleaning and staging, always giving us choices, sending cost estimates, and obtaining approvals before proceeding. He worked hard to find the best solutions for any problems down to the smallest details. When the home was ready to put on the market, Pete's advertising and showing of it were extremely professional and attracted five offers within the first week. From then on as several more offers came in, Pete and his capable office staff adeptly steered us through the complex process of offers, counteroffers, and backup offers, emailing us the multitude of paperwork required, answering all our questions, being sensitive to our concerns, and keeping us informed of new developments. Our parents' home sold in less than 3 weeks after it was put on the market for well over the listing price, thanks to Pete's expertise, dedication, and hard work on our behalf. We heartily recommend Pete Castro for anyone's real estate needs. read more

Why would you go with anyone else? Pete actually lives in the area he serves. His listings are always beautifully staged and updated to make sure the buyer gets the most value from his/her property, and his listings invariably go over asking. We selected Pete Castro to help us sell a rental property. The property was difficult to sell but Pete persevered and helped us present the house in the best possible way. Pete has resources to recommend any kind of repair or work that is reliable and reasonable. He created a great video that provided a panoramic view of the property and the interior. He listened to our concerns and always had great ideas. Pete was very professional dealing with our buyer who wanted a 1031 exchange. His expertise helped deal with unusual problems encountered with the sale and bring it to a close. Pete is friendly and professional and very knowledgeable in real estate and the Santa Monica area. We have worked with Maile and Pete on three homes - two as renters and now we just bought our first home! We couldn't say enough nice things - these two are consummate professionals, and SO knowledgeable about the Los Angeles market. I am a business owner and will be the first to admit that I'm not an easy client - I have a lot of questions and specific demands and requests, and they tolerated me all along the way and with a great sense of humor!!! I'm proud to share that they helped us strategize in a multiple bidder situation, and though we went in with a higher offer to get the house, we successfully negotiated $25,000 off the purchase price for repairs, ultimately landing the home for over 30% below market prices per square foot. They had great relationships with all of the various inspectors and service/tradesmen that we needed to work with to negotiate during escrow. My husband and I are THRILLED with our new home and will continue referring Maile & Pete to all of our friends! read more

My husband and I live in the SF Bay area and recently purchased a condo in Westwood. I relied on Maile to help us with everything because we don't currently live in the area. She was a amazing. She scheduled everything and was present at all inspections. She provided an electronic timeline and we were able to sigh most documents by email. This is the third time Maile has handled a real estate transaction for a member of my family. read more

As neighbors of Pete's, my wife and I had been acquainted with him for years, and always thought we'd hire him for his real estate expertise if we ever decided to move. When we finally did, he turned out to be perfect for our needs. He effectively marketed our house, and was knowledgeable, personable, flexible, and responsive to our requests. We had only one offer, and Pete worked with the other realtor to get the prospective buyer to raise her bid to something more acceptable to us. I highly recommend Pete's services, and wish I could still chat with him at his neighborhood open houses. read more
