They have one of those sites you can not look at the properties unless you register. You are then aggressively stalked by the salesmen. I do not take well to predatory sales people and it was made more annoying by one salesman in particular that kept calling me by my last name. If they can't even get my name right..... When I addressed this issue I received a very snarky apology, given and then taken back by the end of the sentence followed by a sarcastic remark about my mental health. No thank you Peter Gragnani. I feel compelled to write this review for Sheila Ananeh-Firempong because I could not have had a more different experience than Janis R did. Sheila is a professional and kind person, someone who would do her best to find the property you are looking for. I was looking for a place to rent in South Pasadena, when I came across a beautiful town house. I requested to see the place and Sheila answered the very same day. This was the first positive attribute I noticed from Sheila, since all other place I have requested to see have not responded yet (many of them never did). A few days after, I went to see the place. Sheila was extremely cordial and professional. She showed me not only the great features of the place, but also what was needed to be fixed. After about 30 minutes, I knew this was the place for me. Sheila gave me all the paperwork needed to apply. She also was available by cell and email to answer any of my questions. When it was time for the owner to make the choice between applicants, the owner decided to go with another person. Sheila immediately called me and offered to help looking for another place. For a week she showed me places, she worked with my busy schedule, even meeting me on Sunday. Finally, she called me back and told me that the town house was still available, that the person the owner had selected did not take the place. She made sure I was the first one to know and immediately arrange for me to take the place. I cannot stressed enough how grateful I am to Sheila. I sincerely doubt you are going to find any one better at this job than her. But she is not only efficient, she is kind and patient too. She still calls me to make sure I am happy with the place. If you are buying a property or just looking for a place to rent, Sheila is the person to go to. read more

Realtor Realtor Realtor Time to get Real. Trying to sum up Sheila Ananeh-Firempong is a task that I find very endearing. Sheila was our Realtor, we we're the buyers. This was not our first purchase, However it was our first purchase in the extremely competitive market. We knew that we had to be well qualified, you know the usual--- good credit, good jobs, history and a substantial amount for the down payment. Yet that was not nearly enough. We had to have a Very Good Realtor...... That with no doubt is Sheila. The minute Sheila enters the game, the rest of us have to stand up and listen and listen well. Listen to the way that she relays valuable information in a way that you may form a decision based on solid information. She is not in this for her; she is in this for you. For you to be able to reach your goal; your dream of owning a place you will call home. Had it not been for the way that Sheila structured our offer, there is no doubt in my mind that our offer would have just been tossed aside. There were other offers on the same property, however because of Sheila's input our offer came to the front of the line. We were front and center. And we were Accepted. Then the real work begins, and thru it all Sheila was in constant contact with all those involved and she walked everything thru like a real professional. Before we knew it we were moving in. We have been settling in, we are nice and cozy now, but we need to really keep it real and acknowledge that it is Sheila who made this happen. She is fantastic beyond words. I wrote the letter below based on our wonderful experience we had with Sheila Ananeh-Firempong. Sheila, I can't thank you enough for all of your hard work and dedication you've given our family during the last few months. You served the role of real estate agent, advisor, and friend, and we are incredibly grateful for all that you've done for us in making the sale and purchase of our home(s) a reality. I was impressed immediately when we first met as you explained how involved you are with each client throughout all stages of the process. At the time, our plan was to list our house in the spring after I returned from my 4 months of work in Atlanta. Eventually, once we went into escrow, we'd get serious about looking for a house to buy. Well before we thought we were even close to buying something, we started to look at listings to get a gauge of what the market was like. You explained that one tactic of yours was to vet these places before we made a trip, something that was very helpful given our limited time ( as well as the fact that I was in Atlanta ). Occasionally we'd run across a place that had appeal on paper, only to find out that it was less then advertised after you made an initial trip to the property. We'd also run across a place that seemed to have lots of potential, and then you'd visit it. One of those places was the house on Norton Ave in Glendale. I don't remember the exact conversation, but your initial feedback on the Norton house was glowing. When Jaika, my mother and our contractor viewed the house they all echoed your sentiment. We all knew the house would receive multiple offers and would go very fast. For me it was a mix of excitement and anxiety; Here was the house that matched most of, if not all of our requirements, but mentally I wasn't ready to move forward with such a significant purchase and life event. After viewing the house via FaceTime, and numerous conversations with you discussing everything from comps to the condition of the house, we moved forward with an offer. I have to be honest, I never thought we had a chance at the Norton house. With the number of offers, and the number of counter offers I was pretty sure we'd be looked over. I must also be honest that there was a part of me that was relieved with this possibility; I didn't think I was prepared to take that step. When you called me that evening with the news they'd selected us over everyone else, even with an offer that was $25,000.00 below the highest offer I was floored. Obviously I was very excited, but soon the reality of what needed to happen started to set in, and with that came anxiety. I worried about all the obvious things when you buy an expensive home, before you sell your current and coupled that with being 2,000 miles from both of those homes. As soon as we got the news that our offer was accepted, we had to move quickly with getting our house ready to list. Since we'd planned to do this later in the year, we weren't completely ready for this step. Your ability to get it prepped, staged, photographed and listed in such a short period of time was incredibly impressive. It wasn't easy being across the country while this was happening but I couldn't have asked for a more experienced and professional person leading us through these unfamiliar waters. We were truly grateful for all the time you dedicated to us and our house. We could always count on you to following up with contractor for minor repairs, calls to escrow or the other agent, or numerous trips to the house to make sure everything was perfect and on schedule ( in fact in most cases you were ahead of schedule ). Even when we had the setback after the initial buyer's loan fell through, you were calm and collect and moved fast and strategically to the next buyer. You were able to successfully close escrow quicker then we expected, and did so without any issue from inspection, appraisal or any other hiccup that can delay the process. My drive home to our new house is a short one. As I make my way up Sonora Ave, I see the sun setting on the Verdugo Mountains. I come home to find my son and dog playing in the front yard, something I would never be possible at our old house. Its moments like that when I forget about all the emotion and stress that lead us to this point. Now we think about watching Mason grow up in the house, attending his first day of school down the street, while we continue to put our own stamp on the Norton house, truly making it our own. We want to thank you for all your generosity, patience, and professionalism to help make this a reality. We were incredibly lucky to have you on board, helping us navigate both legs of the real estate adventure. Can there be another Sheila Ananeh-Firempong? I seriously doubt it. This afternoon I decided to take some time out of my busy day to provide what I believe to be a fair, accurate and meaningful review of real estate agent Sheila Ananeh-Firempong. I was so taken by the last review that for a moment, I thought there may be two Sheila's out there practicing real estate. First of all, I too have had a FIDUCIARY RELATIONSHIP with agent Sheila and this relationship has been in place for approximately 5 years now. EACH AND EVERY TIME that I have dealt with her, it has been a true joy and nothing less then professional. I have found her to be skillful, articulate, compassionate, hard-working and very understanding. Throughout our business relationship, Sheila has gone out of her way to perhaps "over explain" various issues that would arise. Perhaps The last reviewer misunderstood the process or, is one who just can't be satisfied. However, I will comment no further in that regard other than to say that I am a professional and that I deal with The issue of ETHICS throughout my entire workday. The transactions that Sheila and I have been involved in were quite demanding. There were times where I, like many others, would become quite anxious and sometimes nervous. Sheila was always able to refute all of my issues of concern and made sure that all of our transactions both at the beginning, and through to the end went smoothly. BEWARE!!! SHEILA ANANEH-FIREMPONG knowingly VIOLATED her fiduciary duty. This realtor LIED, advising me she had a pre-approval letter for the transaction that seriously damaged my finances. Upon realizing the gross financial damage this realtor's false advisements had caused me, it was too late. The predatory loan her loan agent friend provided, at a late date, was her way to a commission. Shame on her! Well-knowing my financial picture had changed & needed to be re-evaluated, this seasoned realtor did NOT take the time to pre-approve me for THIS transaction, opening escrow with no loan approval! This realtor CONTROLLED, MANAGED & PUSHED the process forward, keeping vital information from me. Not only did this realtor seriously mislead me, she misled the entire process for an excruciating 3 months. Had this realtor simply done her job & spoken truthfully from day one, my finances would not have been damaged. I am NOT a realtor nor a loan agent, by any means, relying on this seasoned realtor/negotiator not to harm me, to be forthcoming at all times, to protect me, to act in my best interest, AS WOULD ANY CLIENT. Instead, this realtor duped me with her false advisements, encouraging the process. The only one this realtor protected was herself! I believed this realtor when she said she would provide me with a copy of the pre-approval letter, advising me that all was well. Never did I receive a copy of the pre-approval letter, because NO SUCH LETTER EVER EXISTED, nor was the escrow ever viable, SANS loan approval! As time passed, it became all too clear that this realtor had not been forthcoming. This realtor's false advisements cost me thousands, for no reason, other than to accommodate her need for a commission. This realtor denied me the opportunity to walk away with my finances in tact! I could not imagine this realtor was putting me at serious risk. No ethical realtor would direct the opening of an escrow sans pre-approval! This realtor's display of unethical action is shocking. This realtor also convinced the PFAR Ethics Committee (Pasadena Foothills Association of Realtors) she was on the up & up. Perhaps the ethics committee (an all-realtor panel) is not concerned with ethics?! Upon realizing the gross harm this realtor's false advisements caused me, it was too late. Advised that this realtor's negotiating skills were top notch, yet, she did nothing to mitigate the damage her actions caused to my finances. IF this realtor chose to be forthcoming from day one, pre-approval would have been of the utmost importance. Again, no pre-approval took place on this transaction. Had this esteemed realtor simply done her job & acted ethically, my finances would not have been damaged. An ethically-acting realtor does not put a client's finances at risk, for any reason, EVER. A client expects no less! This realtor, however, duped me, undermining me with her false advisements & keeping vital information from me. At no time did this realtor speak up; at no time did this realtor honor her fiduciary duty to protect my finances; at no time did this realtor try to mitigate the financial damage her abhorrent actions caused me. Instead, she caused greater financial damage, insisting the escrow was viable, continuing the process. Escrow NEVER would have opened, had this realtor been forthcoming, however, she decided to ignore MY best interests in favor of her own. NO effort was made by her John Aaroe Group cronies to mitigate the catastrophe their esteemed realtor caused via her egregious actions, other than advising me to get an attorney. As well, this realtor's John Aaroe buddies lied at the ethics hearing, as did she, supporting her despicable actions. Trusting this seasoned realtor proved to be a MAJOR DISASTER!!! read more
