I drink a lager when it's asked if me

The Bilby. I was auto-corrected 3 times just now for that one fascinating word. YASS a Bilby. It is a Joey's one-and-only construction, built like a pizza, calzone, and/or sandwich. It doesn't quite matter what it is, IT is delicious. Basically, if you can dream it, it exists. For the Bilby, that is certainly true. This Texas city-girl is once again bamboozled by small town fare. I'm struck straight through to the heart. Stab, twist, pull, stab, because everyone I know in PA is obsessed with the Texas Roadhouse. But Why? YOU HAVE JOEYS!!!! *Mystified* *Completely mystified* Joey's is a perfect storm of family friendly, open bar, warm and friendly, all of the feels home style cooking with a serious foodie twist. Like, somebody here may know what a tapa is!!??? stop it. I went too far. But again I think, maybe. A friend ordered something I won't soon forget. Crispy fries, ranch, cheese, chicken. I can't even. Let's talk about the wine though. You still got 5 stars but only by the hair on your chin chin chin. Your wine list needs serious work. I realize this is a miller/bud light area with craft beer only a glimpse on your radar, but think of the possibilities! A solid wine list with craft beer selection? However, The Yuengling. With a chilled glass!!! What a statement! It did the job. Alcohol aside, you're the real winner in Houtzdale.

You'll be lucky to find a seat. The food is so good everyone eats here. Our personal favorite is the original moon's wings pizza.

Food is really good I recommend the wings or the Bilby only thing is it's getting a little bit on the greasy side.

Really cute local place with very fair prices. I went twice for lunch last week. The service was…read morevery friendly and very attentive. Never had to wait for anything. The food was decent, better than national chains and priced competitively. The ambiance really did it for me. Reminded me of going to an Italian restaurant in the 1990s with my grandparents. Loved the kitschy walls, the tablecloths, the bread on the table. Seemed to be a local institution.

I almost never write negative reviews, but I get the feeling a lot of people pass through this area…read moretraveling and would want to know, so here goes. We got there somewhere around 7 o'clock, were seated within 10 minutes. I was super excited because the atmosphere in this place is outstanding. I mean really great looking restaurant. Old school Italian is the only way I can describe it. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were fantastic, as well as the salad and wedding soup we ordered. Bread was also really good. However, the main course was not very good at all. My eight-year-old ordered mac & cheese, which I was shocked to learn was Kraft. (as an authentic Italian place, that was kind of weird) I ordered the chicken Romano and the waitress suggested I change the side of pasta to capavelli with a sun-dried vodka sauce... I think that's what it was, but it was a different sauce than on the menu, am my daughter ordered angel hair with basil Alfredo sauce and chicken. First thing, my son said was his mac & cheese tasted funny, I took a bite and it was extremely overcooked. The noodles were mush, and there was no sauce or flavor. My daughter's Alfredo was already separated when it came to the table, and the bottom of the plate was filled with a ton of oil and the noodles were extremely dry. If you bet me money that was an Alfredo sauce, I would've lost that bet. I didn't taste Alfredo at all. We ended up asking for an extra side of Alfredo, and that came out separated as well, and no amount of stirring would put it back together. I'm guessing all of this was microwaved, except maybe the noodles. My chicken Romano was OK. The pasta suggestion from the waitress was absolutely delicious, but the chicken was definitely not panfried long enough, and there was so much butter or Whirl, on it and on the plate that I tried to use my napkin to sop it up. (i'm thinking it was a butter substitute like Whirl based on the taste) Everything was reasonably priced, but we took almost all of the food home accept the mac & cheese, we tossed that. I'm gonna try to fix the pasta with a trick when Alfredo sauce is overcooked and separated, and hopefully I can save it. I think I'm gonna set my chicken breast on a piece of bread to try to soak out the stick of butter (Whirl?) that's on it. Usually I love a great chicken Romano with a well-prepared butter-lemon-caper sauce, but there was no lemon, no caper, just A pool of butter/Whirl. If I can't fix this it's $80 in the trash. I don't make it through this area often, but I will try this place again and order other items because maybe they're way better at something else.

Our waitress, Lori, was friendly and a joy to have a conversation with. She also was very good about spacing the courses out such that we didn't feel rushed. The wine selections were a bit limited but what they did have to offer was high quality. The star of the night was the food though. Hats off to the chef(s)! The calamari was cooked perfectly and served with less sweet marinara. The salads were simple but the house-made Italian dressing was very good. The entrees were incredible. My daughter had smoked mozzarella stuffed ravioli in a creamy Alfredo sauce while I enjoyed the cheese tortellini with sausage and sun-dried tomatoes I'd highly recommend both. Loved the flavors. We finished off with a couple of decadent, house-made desserts that were loaded with chocolate and good. Last thing is go hungry. The entrees were very large. Definitely had to take some home.

The restaurant, in a restored 5&10 store was charming. Our waitress, Brandi, was friendly and offered suggestions as to what to order. The restaurant is only open a few days a week, but you can't miss if you happen to stop in while they're open.
