I…read morecalled a well-known plumbing service, the man who came by concluded in about 2 minutes that it was a sprinkler leak and that it would be cheaper to call a sprinkler service company. I did that, thought my problems were solved, but within an hour of having the water on the leak was back. I then decided to give Rub A Dub a try. Aaron came by and, unlike the other two, went to work to find the leak. After some bush-cutting and rock moving, he determined the connection between my copper and PVC pipes had broken in the yard, and he repaired the fitting promptly. Thank you very much for your help. I think I will be using this company for all plumbing needs going forward.

They told me that my water heater's mother board was bad and was obsolete / no longer available. Thus, the only option was to replace the entire system at a cost of nearly $5K. Feeling stuck and taking their word for it, replacing the unit is what we did. A couple months later, my second tankless system (same make, model and age as the first one) went on the fritz. Troubleshooting this system, it too was a motherboard problem, yet this time (not with Rub-a-Dub), a replacement motherboard was available for $300, a far cry from replacing the entire system at 16X the cost! Needless to say, this was a pretty frustrating realization to have about Rub-a-Dub's service call and recommendation. They definitely got me! :-(

I had a long term business relationship with C Davis until I purchased a…read more Pro Nest thermostat with a 5 year warranty for $375.00. Last year. It never worked correctly ( this was my second house to have one, which he installed and serviced, so I was very familiar with the Smart functionality and never had an issue) fast forward.... After insinuating that I didn't know how to use the APP or the settings, They sent a service rep out to check the settings after only a month or so old and they charged me for a service call ( 5 year warranty ?????) the next time I called about the problems I had, I was told by the owner that he didn't really like The Nest new generation unit. He claims he told me that beforehand, which he did not. He recommended I go to a Honeywell, so I expected a refund towards the exchange, but he refused and said Nest does not refund him, but will only send a replacement. Now I'm out another $300 or so dollars for the Honeywell. Several months later and after several reminders, his assistant dropped off a new Pro Nest which says on the box that Sale by a non professional is strictly prohibited. I listed it for sale for only $200 ( $175 less than I paid) and I have had no bites, since Lowes sells them for under $200. I contacted Nest customer support and they said the new unit was not sold by them and was not registered. Neither was the first one. They said the HVAC company should register them to keep the warranty valid. It was not registered. The owner told me that he had told me to register it, which he did not. SOOOOOO, he ignored my emails and calls explaining that I cannot sell it. He ignored me and I've filed a complaint with the BBB here in Tyler. After about a month he finally replied stating he had warned me that they weren't a good product (but he took my $375 and sold it to me) He never told me that! He never told me to register it and he did not honor the 5 year warranty, nor did Nest because it wasn't registered. He's the professional AC company, not me. I'm out $464 for the service call and the unit which I've asked him to refund me and I will give it back unopened and sealed up. Buyer Beware!!! It's really disappointing , since I had been a long term customer. IMO this is a pure misrepresentation , if not total dishonesty with a few lies defending his position and a real SCREW job. I'm waiting to hear what BBB says after I replied and I stated that I did not accept his resolution/ which is TOO bad! I'm supposed to accept the loss and be satisfied with that ???? I'm warning everyone on social media and with BBB not to use them.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I hired this company to…read moreinstall irrigation and grass in my backyard and part of my side yard. They gave us nothing but problems. I gave them thousands of dollars, and ended up having to hire someone to fix their mess or fix it myself. To start, the worker who was to install the irrigation was supposed to take 2 days, but it took over a week. The reason being: he kept napping on my front porch or in my side yard. My neighbors kept texting and calling to see if I knew about a strange guy sleeping in my front yard. Then, the new irrigation zones in the backyard were supposed to be connected to the existing system in the front yard. They did not connect it to anything, so the new zones had no water going to them. Once they did finally come out to fix it, half the new sod they laid died. They were supposed to come out and redo it, but never did despite dozens of calls and texts from me. Also, when the new zones were finally connected, I had to figure out how to adjust every head myself because some were spraying directly into a fence, pointed the opposite way, over-spraying over the fence, etc. It was a nightmare! Finally, they were only supposed to lay sod in the half of the side yard that was torn up from where all the tractors were coming in and out during our pool construction. I guess the guy (the same one who barely worked 2 hours per day because he was too busy napping in random places) didn't listen to instructions because he tore up all the existing grass that was in good shape. But because they were only supposed to lay sod in half of the side yard, they did not fix the good grass he tore up! I tried so many times for many weeks to get them to follow up on their work, and it was always one excuse after another; and that's if I could even get a call back! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!

They worked directly with my insurance so I didn't have to worry. Our AC compressor stopped working late Sunday afternoon, on a high 90's highly humid day. My call was returned promptly with a promise of a morning service call. Mr, Chandler was on the problem by 09:30 and replaced the failed part quickly, then cleaned the compressor unit so it will work at peak efficiency. All this with a pleasant, friendly demeanor, at a fair price. Thank again Mr, Chandler for it all. If you need AC service in the Tyler area I cannot recommend him highly enough! Follow up: After a cool night and most of the following day all was well, however around 4:30 in the afternoon I notice the house warming and immediately went to check the compressor. Dead! I turned the breaker off (always do that) and called the Chandlers once more. Within a few minutes I was called back and within the hour they were back in my yard with the cover off the AC unit. Burned out fan motor, frozen, would not turn. Mr. Chandler told me that he had installed two such motors this day and would have to go back to his shop for another and that it might take an hour or more. Imagine my surprise when he showed up again thirty minutes later with a new motor and within the hour it was installed and the system was pumping out cold air once again. As before the price was more than fair and the service unbelievably fast, friendly and courteous. I am still amazed that not only did both of these issues arise back to back, but the service was quick, efficient and fairly priced. I know a bit about AC and know that when the temperatures are hitting 100, the instances of failures increase as does the demand for service. Obviously some things fell in place for this to happen so quickly and smoothly, the temp in the house never got above 77. Pleased? Well that would be an understatement. It was over $600 days later, it went out again. I'm still out without Air over the weekend I contacted them and they said they came out. I will post pictures of the text messages. I am calling somebody else because I don't like being insulted and called a liar.
