I called and placed a order for delivery at 7:45pm and a female answered, told me it should be about 70 minutes (a bit over an hour) I said that was fine and received a tracking text for my delivery driver, ETA and time frame. Almost two and a half hours go by, so I call to check the status of my order. A man picks up and tells me "oh,yeah, I don't know let me transfer you over the manager" it was the same woman who originally took my order, she must have new what I was calling for because she repeated my address without me reminding her and said "oh sorry I don't know where the driver is at." So I then asked her "should I cancel and look somewhere else to pay if you don't know where staff is,especially since our neighborhood shops close early?" And she tells me " no,no we didn't forget about you our driver is just slow getting to you" (im only 12-14mins away by car) so I say ok,I'll wait. Then i received a new order text to my phone of my order being cancelled and restarting at a new time...at this point it's very unprofessional to me as a guest as well as their business. All they had to do was be transparent and honest that they couldn't take to go orders if they're short staff or bad at communicating with driving staff. I order from them alot and this was the worst they've ever been. Usually the woman has a bad tone on the phone and i ignore it but combined with that and the lack of hospitality and care for a paying costumer, flabbergasted. so I ordered from Johnny's carry out not to far from them and it was promt and organized.

With that being said, I have to give them their props because the food was actually really good. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg rolls. No doubt the shrimp fried rice was one of the best I ever tasted from any where. The rice was delicious and had its own flavorful texture. While the shrimps were a nice size ( nothing like most smallish shrimps I've seen in these carryout boxes ) and their egg rolls are healthy in size as well... I'm talking filled and crisped to perfection. So, if I'm passing that part of the city I will definitely stop by again !!! ( try it !! )

This is the only Chinese place we tried while in the area, but we went here a few times. It was…read morereal close to our Airbnb, so it was our go-to for filling in gaps for meals. A place called "Asian Restaurant", no online presence, cash-only, located smack dab in the middle of a very Mexican area. But man, everything we got was so good. We went there once for dinner, and got just fried rice or lo mein a few times. The fried rice was always plain as a side, but had a great taste and partnered well with the other food we got. Like the lo mein, it also made a great snack or small meal during the day. I'd say the lo mein is in my top 3 from any Chinese takeout I've had. The mushrooms, the stripped pork and cabbage, all the other meats were in great balance. For the meal day, we got Kung Pao chicken and the Seafood Combo Hunan Style. The Kung Pao chicken was drowning in sauce. The taste was on point, but it was not spicy at all, which was a little disappointing. The seafood combo was my favorite. They used jumbo shrimp, which tasted fresh. I usually eventually pick out the fake crab meat in meals like this, but they kept it subtle and it wasn't bad. The sauce was really good, and they weren't stingy with the broccoli which really mopped it up. This meal wouldn't have been half as good without the fried rice. If you follow Google's links to their menu, it'll take you to the wrong one. The first time we called this place we were ready to order sushi and all kinds of stuff. The lady on the phone thought I was crazy, and we eventually put together that I'm looking at an imposter menu (with their phone number on it!) Use the picture posted on Yelp for their menu. I'll miss this place.

Sunday 2/9/25 This…read morespot was brought to my attention due to Instagram, and I made sure to plan my visit after realizing how close it was to my dad's house. I called to order pickup, and the service was nice and friendly. Also, the spot is very reliable, as it's open until midnight and roughly 16 hours of the day, serving many different options, from fast food to comfort food. I ordered the combo over rice ($13), the Philly cheesesteak combo with French fries and lemonade ($15.49), five wings with one waffle ($13.49), and a carrot cake slice ($4). - The fried chicken wings were alright for your typical fast food chicken. - Waffle was decent: it was soft & fluffy. - The combo over rice was solid, and I liked the chicken the most. - Philly cheesesteak was okay and would've been even better if it had provolone instead of the cheese whiz. - French fries were solid: they were crispy with some seasoning on them. - The house-made lemonade was alright, and I would be open to getting it again. - The carrot cake isn't anything crazy, it's alright, but I do appreciate the $4 price tag cause others would charge double or more for a slice. Overall, the spot does a good job with fair pricing, fast comfort food, and reliable hours. I'd come back and recommend.
